CHAPTER 48a

Midnight at ABC Street

Two people were standing next to a lamppost, one guy was texting someone and the girl was looking around, it was Chotu and Rukshar

Ruk: is this what you always do while going undercover?

Ch: is something wrong? Are you cold? Do you want to drink some tea?

Sameer spoke through earphone:

Are you here for a picnic? Chotu, where is the auction taking place?

Ch: sir, I just got a text from my informer, he said that in will take place in an alley but it will be underground in a basement, we just have to wait for his signal

S: ok

Sameer was in his car with Virat, Ayesha, Shree and Liza while Arjun was with Siddarth, Sakshi, Riya and Manvi

Ay: sir, why did you send Dr. Rukshar with Chotu? She is a doctor not a cop

S: the reason is simple, most of the employees already met us, and it can also be that one of the employees we met is also an accomplice. So because Chotu wasn't with us at the time so this was the best choice and Dr Ruksar might know some things about paintings because of her sister-in-law and if she didn't want to help she would have said so

Ay: sir, she only agreed to help because Arjun sir lessend his punishment

S: so did I

Ay: you only said you won't make him wash your car but the other punishments are still there

S: so?

Ay: so I am saying sir that you shouldn't have given him punishment just for not being in the office

S: he was supposed to be in the office, it was an order

Ay: but sir you didn't specifically tell him that

S: but he had to stay put in case we needed help from him

Arjun got between their fight, he could hear them via the earphone

A: Rathor, we are not in office, so stop making excuses and picking out mistakes of others and Ayesha, concentrate on the case

S: what do you mean Rawte?

A: Rahtor, if I begin talking then it will take the whole night (he disconnected the earphone connection before Sameer could continue)

In Arjun's car, Sakshi was sitting in the front while Riya, Siddarth and Manvi were sitting in the back

Arjun was first annoyed that Sakshi was sitting infront but then let it go knowing that Riya might be avoiding him because of today's action

Ma: sir, why did you didn't give Chotu bhai any punishment? Because I have heard that you don't like it when people make mistakes and get angry

A: do I have to have a reason for being a nice person once in a while?

Riya was drinking water when he said that, she almost choked and started coughing, Manvi started patting her back and Siddarth asked:

What happened? Breath

Riya looked at Arjun shocked because he isn't the kind of person to say things like that and he would have gotten angry at MAnvi for asking questions about his actions but he calmly answered her questions made her so shocked that made her choke

Arjun and Sakshi were shocked to see that Riya was coughing, worried they both asked at the same time:

A: Riya, are you ok? (concerned)

Sa: Di, are you ok? (anxcious)

Riya looked at them both, eyes wide but nodded

At the time Chotu reported something, Manvi who had an earphone on, said to Arjun: sir, Chotu bhai said that his informer just told him the location and he and Dr Rukshar are going there and that we should be prepared

A: ok, Riya are you ok now?

Riya nodded

Arjun put on his earphone and asked Sameer:

You hear that Rahtor?

S: I heard it the first time Rawte, you are hearing it now

A: so let's get ready (they checked their guns and left from their cars following Chotu and Rukshar)
