Chapter 11:

But as soon Arjun touched her his hands burned. With a shock he let her go and stared at her with wide eyes. He face crunched in a feral snarl. Sakshi laughed out loud like a maniac.

Arjun: What is this? What happened to you?

Sakshi stopped laughing to take some breath. Her smile held an edge that made Arjun falter for a second.

Sakshi: Main Sakshi nehi hoom jaise tu Arjun nehi hai.

In front of his eyes Sakshi's form changed and took another form. A young girl stood before him. Her soft reddish brown curl reached mid back. Square gray eyes brimming with wisdom stared back at her with so much intensity that it made him weak in his knees. Knowing smile played at her lips. She wore a champaign color floor-touch dress. Fresh flower were placed in her dress. With a flower wreath in head and metal bangles in both hands she looked like fire.

He too changed his shape and wore his real form. The form of Banshee. He snarled.

Banshee: Van-Ah-Heer!!

Vannir spoke in a sing song voice.

Vannir: Surprise surprise!!

Banshee screamed in rage. The temple shook at the intensity of Banshee's anger.

Hearing the scream Sakshi stopped for a moment but then started running again. When she was standing outside of the temple pondering over her decision she felt a presence behind her. She turned and gasped in shock. A girl was standing there in front of her. She was looking some sort of Goddess. An aura of great power was radiating from her. In front of Sakshi's own eyes she changed her form and took Sakshi's appearance. She was wearing the same dress Sakshi wearing. Sakshi's heart missed a bit. She opened her mouth to say something but the girl shushed her.

Girl: Ssshhh. Marna hai kya?

Sakshi: Ppar tum kaun ho?

Girl smiled a mysterious smile.

Girl: Vanh-Ah- Heer.

Realization hit her like a wave to ice cool water.

Vannir: Aur jiske sath tum temple mein enter karne wali ho woh Arjun nehi Banshee hai. Bhag jao yaha se. Apni sathio ke paas wapas chali jao. Main Skashi ban ke usske sath temple mein ghus javungi. Jaldi jao. Main usse jyada der tak rok nehi pavungi.

Sakshi: Par main rasta kaise dhundu?

Vannir raised her hand and ball of blue light appeared in her palm. She let the ball go and it came at a halt before Sakshi.

Vannir: Yeh tumhe rasta dikhayega. Aab jao jaldi.

The ball took off and went to a direction. Sakshi came to the reality and started towards the ball. Just the same time Arjun aka Banshee turned to Sakshi aka Vannir and motioned her to enter the temple. With a secret pleasing smile Vannir entered the temple.

Sakshi wanted to stop for a moment. To take a rest but hearing the raging scream of Banshe she dismissed the idea. The ball was moving without pause. If she let it out of sight she will lost the way in this vast jungle.

Sakshi: Kitni asani se keh dya ball ke peche peche javo. Yaha meri dam nikla ja raha hai

When real Arjun and Sammer came back to the team they notice Sakshi was not present there.

Arjun: Sakshi kaha hai? Usse to main tum logoke sath chodke gyi thi!

Everybody stood up from place and stared at him with shock.

Ayesha: Par sir usse to aap lekar gye. Kuch der pehle hi to aap aye yaha aur Sakshi ko apne sath lekar gye yeh kehke ki kuch dikhana hai.

Arjun's head exploded with fear and anger.

Arjun: Yeh kya bakwas hai.

Sameer: Haan. Arjun to pura waqt mere sath tha Vannir ke temple mein. Woh yaha kaise aa sakta hai?

Chotu: Phir Sakshi ko kaun lekar gya?

Fear grabbed them with its icy grasp.

Liza: Isska matlab jo hamare sath nakli Sarpanch banker aya wahi Sakshi ko lekar gya Arjun sir banke!

Arjun didn't want to hear anymore. He wouldn't be able to tolerate. He was about to explode when a ball of blue light landed among them along with a sweaty Sakshi. His heart leaped a bit. Ayesha cried in relief and was about to go to her when he stopped her.

Arjun: Ek minute. Koun ho tum?

Everybody looked at him puzzled. What the hell happened to him?

Arjun: Isse pehle do bar dhoka kha chuke hai. Iss bar nehi. Koun ho tum?

Sakshi was struggling to breathe. Hearing Arjun her heart stopped for a moment but she chided herself. It was normal for them. After what happened it's just logical.

Sakshi: Arjun main hoom. Tumhari Sakshi.

Arjun's lips set on a thin line.

Arjun: Haam kaise man le ki tum hi Sakshi ho?

Sakshi felt like crying. She felt like banging her head in a brick wall. Damn you Banshee. May you rot in hell. But it was not the best time to show anger. She will have to make them see the right.

Sakshi: Arjun main tumhe kaise aken dilavum?

Arjun: Mujhe kasie pata?

That undid her. Hell! She was tired of all this. She threw her hand in the air.

Sakshi: Aab main kya karum? Nachu? Aye Bappa ji! Yeh mujhe kis musibat mein dal dya apne?

Before she could continue her rambling she felt strong hands encircling her into a hug. She got startled but sighed realizing its Arjun. She hugged him back and rested her head in her broad chest.

Sakshi: Tumhe kaise yakeen aya ki main hi Sakshi hoom?

Arjun suppressed a smile that was threatening to break out.

Arjun: Well tum jab bhi musibat mein hoti ho aise apni Bappa ji ke paas complaint ki thali leke baith jati hoom.

Sakshi blushed. She wanted to hit him but she was too tired. Arjun made her seat and took place beside her. He was so relieved! Other team members sighed in relief and sat on the dirt.

Liza: Par Sakshi tum waha se bhagi kaise?

Sakshi narrated the whole story. Everybody listened to her with open mouth.

Sameer: Isska matlab jo bacchi haamri madad kar rahi thi woh aur koi nehi Vannir hai.

Sakshi shook her head.

Sakshi: Jisne mujhe bachya woh koi choti bacchi nehi hai Sameer. She was a full grown woman.

Everybody looked at her puzzled.

Arjun: Aab yeh kya hai? Yeh dono ladki akhir hai koun?

Suddenly a sing song voice came from behind.

Voice: Agar itna hi janne ka shouk hai to mujhse hi puchna chaye na ACP Sahab!
