CHAPTER 4:

Sakshi was making Shree ready for dinner date. She made her wore a beautiful red gown with red high heels. Her hairs were down.

A few hours ago Adheeraj called and asked no he actually informed Shree about dinner date. Though Shree was fuming in anger at his behavior but Sakshi calmed her down and now making her ready. All the time Shree was grumbling under her breath. Sakshi smiled a bit.

Sakshi: Tu itna nervous kiyu ho rahi hai?

Shree huffed. Nervous and Shree? Naaah.. Nervousness doesn't suit her at all. She was about to use her cheesy trademark line on Sakshi but one look and she knew there is no use. Sakshi know her too well. Ya ya she was nervous. But she will die before admitting it aloud. So she decided to keep quiet. When Sakshi brough a box of jwellery from the wardrobe she became suspicious. Sakshi smiled at her. She opened the box and held it in front of her. Inside lying in the bed of royal blue velvet an beautiful necklace with earrings.

Shree kept staring at the necklace with mouth wide open.

Shree: It..it it.. We..

Sakshi: Yes yes. It's the same necklace we saw at the exhibition. Tujhe yeh bohot pasand aya tha to maine chupke se tere lye kharedke rakhi thi.

Shree couldn't say anything. She just hugged Sakshi tightly. Sakshi patted her back then gently parted from her. She helped her wear the necklace. After finishing Skashi gave her a once over and winked.

Sakshi: You look good enough to eat darling.

Shree blushed to the core.

Shree: Saksh!!!!!!!

Saksh laughed out loud and pulled her cheeks. Meri pyari doli you look so good when you blush.

Shree: Chod na Skash!!

Sakshi laughed out loud but she let her go. She had a important work to do. That's another reason she was sending Shree with Adheeraj. She wanted to do it alone. She looked at Shree again. Perhaps this is the list time she will be seeing her. So, she is practically leaving her at Adheeraj's hand.

Shree noticed her look.

Shree: Kya bat hai Sakshi? Tu kiss soch mein dubi hui hai?

Sakshi smiled a fake smile and nodded.

Sakshi: Soch rahi hoom ki kab main bhi teri tarah aise Arjun ke sath date pe javungi.

That worked. It diverted Shree's mind. She smiled at started teasing her. Both got into the car and Sakshi started the car. As per rule Adheeraj should be here to pick up his date but Sakshi insisted to drop Shree at the resturant.

When they reached their destination Sakshi stopped the car and pulled Shree in a hug. Shree could sense that something was wrong. But before she could grill her Sakshi pulled out from the hug and pointed outside.

Sakshi: Dekh Adi tera wait kar raha hai.

Shree turned and her soft brown eyes clashed with his intense black eyes. He was wearing a black tuxedo.

Shree averted her eyes from him and bid bye to Sakshi. She gave her a cheeky smile and bid bye. Shree got down and went to him. Together they went inside. Sakshi kept staring as long as she can. Then she started the engine and drove back home. She has a lot of things to do.

They finished the whole dinner in silence. Adheeraj didn't say anything and Shree too didn't say anything. After paying the bill both came out. Adheeraj opened the door for her and she sat down. Adheeraj sat on the driving seat and started driving. Shree was fidgeting in the seat nervously. After almost one hour driving Adheeraj parked the car in front of a fair.

Shree raised her eye brows. Adheeraj just shrugged. He beckon Shree to join him. He took her to one side. Some bedouin gathered around the fire. Soon it became cleared to Shree and Adheeraj shared a different relationship with them. That's the thing with him. He can mingle anywhere. Soon they started singing and dancing. One bedouin girl got up and started singing and dancing. Soon others joined her.. They took Adheeraj and Shree with them..

Shree enjoyed too much. It's been a long time since she had so much fun. After the party ended Adheeraj took her to the beach. Shree was thinking what to say when again Adheeraj showed his magic. Once they reached the shore whole sky filled up with fireworks.

Then they fire the fanus and sail it in the air. They watch with amusement as their fanus flew side by side and after a few minutes they became distant star.

Shree never had so much fun in her whole life. They barely spoke. But they converse through the silences. Adheeraj linked his pinky finger with hers. As promising he will be with her no matter what. He will be her shadow, her breathing. He will be there when she need and when she doesn't need him. He will here in her sorrow and happiness.

Sakshi opened the door of apartment and went inside. It was pitch dark. She closed the door and switched the lights on and got a shock. Arjun was sitting there with crossed leg. He wore a blank expression. He was too calm. And it made Sakshi's skin crawl. She tried to smile.

Sakshi: Hhhi Arjun. Ttum yaha?

Arjun got up and came just in front of her.

Arjun: Haan. Tumhe kuch dene aya tha.

He opened his palm and the beads were there. Sakshi closed her eyes. She always kept those beads with her. But it seems last time she left them in there.

Sakshi: To tumhe sab kuch pata chal gya hai.

Arjun: Haan. And you know what I can't believe it.

He let a sarcastic laugh.

Arjun: I can't believe that I befriended with a killer. I just can't believe it.

Then his expression hardened. He clutched her shoulder and shook her.

Sakshi: Why Sakshi why? Why did you do this? Kuch bat thi to police ka sahara leti . Unn civilians ko mar dalneki kya jarorat thi?

Sakshi shrugged his hands from her shoulder.

Sakshi: Police. Right. Dekhna chahte ho kya dya tumhare dept. ne mujhe?

She through her dupatta aside. Arjun didn't understand what she wanted to do. Then she opened her zipper and slid right sleeve down. She turned aside and Arjun gasped. There is her shoulder had the perfect mark of nails. When she made sure Arjun saw this she slid it up.

Sakshi: Yeh to kuch bhi nehi. Aur bhi hai. And about those civilians. She opened the scarf from her left hand which she always wore. She put her hand up showing her palm up.

Arjun had to gasp again. Her hand had been burn. A perfect ring with eight straight lines around it. Arjun guessed a spider. Another gasp left his throat when he recognized the sign. It was Sikandar's trademark. He even wears a locket like this.

Sakshi: Yeh dya hai tumhare Sikandar ne mujhe. Sirf hamara business harapna chahta tha. So, one day he came to our house. We were having gala time. He came like a storm. He tied me and my father in a chair. Then he sat on the sofa and gestured his men. Then brought my mother and elder sister and younger brother in the floor in front of us. But usse pehle mere hatho mein yeh brand laga dya. Taki main jindegi bhar yeh sab yaad rakhu.

Tears were flowing from her eyes but she kept herself straight.

Sakshi: Aaj rat tumahara woh civlian Sikandar ke waha ek party hai. Aur aaj ki raat usska akhri rat hai. Bacha sakte ho to bacha lo.

Arjun's face was totally unreadable. He balled his hands in fists and stormed out from her apartment. But not before warning her.

Arjun: Filhal mere paas koi proof nehi hai. Isslye tumhe arrest nehi kar pa raha hoom. Par agar aaj tum mujhe uss party ke aas paas bhi mili to main seedha tumhe shot kar dunga Sakshi.

Precap: Sakshi was at the railing. Everything was a chaos. She closed her eyes. Ahh!! At last peace. Whole team ETF was baffled. But then Arjun came out from trance and raised his gun. And before anyone can stop him he shot Sakshi three times. Sakshi couldn't even scream. To everybody's horror she fell from the railing to the mighty river. May be they will not even found her body.
