In person-
I just don't like you
In the dream-
I don't like anything but you
Where there is no hesitation in you
About others eyes
The difference between
the dream i see
in the day and the one i see
In the night is just that
The flowers
twinkle as the stars.
K-..
Kindly know that not every hesitation is the real hesitation.
Dil To Pagal Hai! (At least for a minute)
The music stopped.
"You have one minute!"
"Thank you, ma'am!"
She ran out and stood before him.
Her eyes fell on the clock, 'Ten seconds passed??...', she turned to him, "Tell me Arjun!"
She was panting.
Flash Back #1 :
20 seconds back- Inside the room.
"Ma'am please, just 5 minutes, ma'am!"
"5- minutes?"
"At least 3- minutes, please!"
"No-Way!!"
"I've to go ma'am," Sakshi said and started moving toward the door.
"You have one minute from now!"
The first 10 seconds:
She ran toward the entrance as her heart was pounding fast in excitation.
He has come for her!
She ran fast.
Perhaps with some gift.
Hah, who needs gifts? A smile, a word, a look...
After all he has come to see her at the correct time. God, the ma'am! Is there any rule for the train to come at the right time? Is there any rule for the students to fill the bus right now?
'You have one minute!'
She saw him standing there with empty hands.
No gifts?
Perhaps in his pockets.
She approached him and said, "Tell me Arjun!"
Flash back #1 ends here.
F.B#2:
The previous day- At the gates.
He was standing before the closed gates of 'Nandhana Kalashetra'.
"No use, sir. They won't allow you in today. They are practicing now. Come tomorrow, when they are going you'll be allowed in with the parents who are coming for the send off," the security said.
"Pakka?"
"Pakka!"
A flash back inside the F.B#2 [Shall we call it #2.a?]
F.B#2.a:
Geetee called him that morning and informed him that the train tickets were confirmed and the Kalashethra troop was going in the train the next day.
"Will you tell her before she leaves?"
His friend asked him teasingly.
"Before the train leaves, I'll, I bet!"
He cut the call.
F.B#2.a ends here.
Back to F.B#2:
After the first attempt of his, failed at the gates of Kalashetra, he decided to return home to think a better way to tell her.
'It should be different', he decided.
'Somewhat special, no matter, if it's different,' he concluded.
He took his bike and moved.
F.B#2 ends here.
Present-
The next 10 seconds.
She looked him eagerly, "Tell me Arjun!"
He cleared his throat once and looked her.
She smiled cheerfully.
"Do you have a flask? You might have one," he started.
"Did you come here to ask that?"
"It seems you have one," he muttered and said, "Nope. Just to say-"he put his hands in his pockets nervously.
"Yes?"
She raised her eyebrows questioningly as her eyes went to the clock unknowingly.
"Actu-"
F.B#3:
The previous day.
He took his bike and moved from the Kalashetra gates as his mind was thinking how he could tell his love to her.
As he decided, he thought to propose her with a special gift.
He moved toward a gift shop.
He stopped near the shop, when a thought hit his mind.
He needed to give her something useful, no matter whether it was a special one or not, he decided.
Right. What can I buy? She is going for a trip. Erm... A flask? How about a flask?
He looked up at the street lamp near the shop and went to a reverie right away.
"A gift for you," he said proudly.
"What's this?" she smiled.
"See,"
"A flask! Beautiful!" her eyes widened.
"Not before you!" he smiled.
"Thanks," she blushed.
"I love you!"
"Thanks!"
He moved the bike to a shop for the ugly flask.
'What if she has a flask already?'
He clutched the brakes hard and earned some glares, but nothing mattered then.
Then my flask would seem as a burden, right?
A man crossed him and said, "Side, please!"
F.B#3 ends here.
Present-
The next 10 seconds.
He grinned at her and took his hands out of his pockets then he announced, "Sorry, I didn't buy the chocolates,"
"So what?"
He thought, without anything how could he say it?
"You know, I was-" he stopped and saw the crowd around briefly.
Her face changed, she was getting angry.
"I don't have much time, Arjun!" her voice raised and few people turned toward them.
But he was going back to a flash back without informing.
F.B#4:
The previous day-
A man crossed him and said, "Side, please!"
He stared the man, but could not understand his words.
From his hand motions, he could understand that he was telling him to go to the side of the road.
He got down from the bike.
Now, what can I do?
Hand bag? Scarf?...Well...Nail polish?
He rejected all of them as he could not decide in which color he could buy them, or size...or how!
The man came back a few seconds later and complained, "You are still standing in the way."
After a moment, the man came to his side and took the bike from him. He put the stand to the bike and approached him.
Now he took his hand and walked him to the bike.
"Now, go back to the reverie," he suggested and Arjun nodded obediently.
The man left.
Gifts like cards, chocolates are always good and won't hurt you; at least the possibility is less.
Oh, chocolates!
She can't refuse them.
Wonderful!
He sat on the bike and moved to buy some chocolates for her.
F.B #4 ends here.
Present-
'God, just 30 seconds more!'
It seemed, she did not get a word from him still, that could compensate the separation ahead, let alone some looks or a smile.
He once saw the clock as she did.
"Actually, I was going to come to the station," he said and his gaze went to the bus standing at one side as the girls were getting on it.
For a change, they both went to flashbacks.
First we'll see the flash back for him (Solely for the continuation purpose!)
F.B#5: For him:
The previous day.
He was going to buy the chocolates as he decided finally.
'Before the train leaves,' his own words resonated in his ears.
Train, station- what a location to tell a love, He wondered.
After all he was going all the way to the station (Suddenly he had decided to meet her there, unknowingly)- just to say the love? Nah, not fair! How about proposing for a marriage with a ring?
Cute!
A reverie-
As always, it was getting late as in cinemas, for him to reach the station.
He started running toward the platform in which the train had already arrived and was going to move.
The announcer said, "The train departs in a minute."
She was looking outside the window for him eagerly.
As always, the station was crowded and he had to descend a staircase with a group of people clumsily and at the same time lazily moving on it.
He crossed a corridor and was reaching the staircase that was when he ran into with an old lady who was carrying a steel bucket over her head.
The bucket hit him in the head. The lady said, "Careful, beta."
He reached the staircase and started descending the steps in a rush. He ran into a man then came to the landing and was stopped by a man (Another man).
"Ticket," the man demanded.
"Who the devil are you?" he glared at him.
The man motioned him to see the batch on his chest.
"A TTE?" he could not believe it.
"Unfortunately."
She saw him coming and ran to the doors.
"Oh, see I've to see her and train is going to move. Please let me go," he pleaded.
"I can't. I've to check the tickets."
"Sorry, I don't have any. I-"
"Then I've to fine you,"
"Once I saw her, you can hang me. Now, please let me go."
The TTE looked him and smiled.
"Go ahead."
He ran toward the train and saw her.
"I want to talk to you," he said.
She smiled and waited.
"I want to talk to 'You'!"
A voice heard near them and they turned to see a man standing there.
It was irrelevant, immaterial, improper and unacceptable.
But there was none to overrule it.
Hence, he moved her a couple of steps aside and said, "I've come for you,"
Again the man spoke, "I've come for 'You'!"
They saw that he too had moved that couple of steps with them.
"Hay, what do you want?"
Arjun asked the man.
"A fight, simple."
"For what?"
The man came near him and said something in his ears.
"Can't this wait?" Arjun asked him.
The man once again reached and whispered in his ears.
"Right!"
Arjun said to her, "Wait a minute,"
"I don't have that much time."
"Then wait half a minute."
"Ok."
She took two steps away and waited.
The fight started.
They both delivered a blow each.
Equal points- a draw.
Arjun gave him a fast right hook kick and looked her.
"How many days, you'll be away?"
"Two weeks," she replied.
The man came back with a fisted hand.
Arjun clutched the fist and turned his hand behind.
"It'd be painful," he went on.
He was talking to her, but the man nodded fast. Arjun continued, " without seeing your face," the man now strained his neck and showed his contorted face over his shoulder to Arjun.
"To me too!", she said weekly.
Arjun looked her.
At that point Arjun's grip loosened a bit and the man turned fully to see Arjun.
Before he could attempt a kick, Arjun punched him in the face and the man went away.
Arjun stood before her, "I want to show you something,"
The train started moving.
"Arjun, the train is moving," she urged.
The man shook himself and jumped in the air. He came toward Arjun in flying.
Arjun knelt down before her suddenly and said, "Wait,"
"Arjun!" she exclaimed.
He clutched her hand in one hand and was searching his pocket with the other.
"I'm going," she took a step toward the train.
"Wait," he clutched her hand in other hand and searched the other pocket.
He found it.
He extended the ring toward her and asked, "Will you marry me?"
She looked him a moment froze.
Then she said, "Yes, yes! I'll,", emotionally.
She helped him to get to his feet and they saw that someone was helping the man to stand up.
They moved toward him as Arjun said, "Poor fellow, he has to get on the next train. I ran into him on my way here. He is going to see his mother..."
F.B#5 ends here.
