Chapter 14:
Prachi was about to enter the office when she saw Shree parking his bike aside. From the corner of her eyes she also noted Liza coming down from the auto. So, she went to Shree and asked loud enough for Liza to listen.
Prachi: Hi Shree! Aaj itna late kasie kar diya?
Shree noticed Liza with the corner of his eyes.
Shree: Haan woh Mithy se milne gya tha issliye thoda late ho gya.
Prachi: Mythi! Ohho! Tum apni Maithli ko pyarse Mythi bulati ho! So sweet! Chalo aab upar chalte hai.
Shree: Tum jao. Main ek call karke ata hoom.
Prachi went upstairs and Liza went behind her without sparing a second glance at him.
Shree: I am sorry Liza. Main jan bujhkar tumhara dil dukhaya. But trust me isske sivah mere paas aur koi chara nehi tha. Agar main aisa nehi karta to Prachi koi na koi chal chalke hame alag kar deti. Usski chungul mein faaske tumhe takleef mein dekhne se to accha hai ki main hi tumhe apne apse dur rakhuum.

Arjun opened her eyes and looked at the ceiling quizzically. At first he couldn't remember where he was then memories of last night came to his mind. He yawned at looked at Sakshi only to find her staring at him.
Arjun: Good morning Sakshi. Kaisi ho? Theek se soi na!
But Sakshi didn't reply. She just kept staring at him. Today he found something different in that gaze. He frowned. He bend to her and still no reaction from her. Slowly very gently he captured her lips on his own but she didn't even move. But Arjun didn't dare to push her further. With a slight pull he let her lips go. Arjun's heart did a happy dance. He just kissed Sakshi but she didn't even flinch. That means she was slowly accepting him as her husband. That little kiss made him so happy that he practically dance the whole day. As Shekhar was shifting apartment, he had to do a lot of works. But he did everything with a smile. Even Shekhar noticed his changed behavior.
Shekhar: Bat kya hai! Aaj yeh khadoos itna khush kiyu hai! Sapne mein koi vardaan mil gya kya! Mujhe kiyu nehi mila?
That evening Shekhar was changing his bandages when his mind started wandering.
Shekhar: Koun thi woh? Agar bandage hi kiya to police station ke samne kiyu chodi? Kiyu mere hosh mein ane tak intejar nehi kiya?

At lunch hour Roshni pulled out a big bag.
Roshni: Guys! Main aaj tum sabke liye lunch lekar ayi thi.
Ayesha and Liza smiled while Chotu wet his lower lips.
Chotu: Khana! Hamare liye? Kya banya hai?
Everybody smiled at his reaction. Shree was about to go outside when Roshni called him.
Roshni: Shree tum kaha jaa rahe ho?
Shree turned around and smiled.
Shree: Mujhe thodi na pata tha ki aaj tum khana lane wali ho! Aaj main Mythi se kaha tha sabke liye khana lane ke liye. Woh neeche wait kar rahi hai khana lekar. Usse mana karne jaa rahi hoom.
Chotu: Yeh Mythi koun hai re!
Prachi smiled her sugary sweet smile.
Prachi: Arre Shree ki Mythi. Shree hamari Maithli ko pyarse Mythi bulata hai.
Roshni: Are wah! Hone wale biwi se abhi itna kaam karwa rahe ho! Dyan se.Kahi bhag na jyegi.
Shree smiled a melancholic smile.
Shree: Meri Mythi kabhi bhagti nehi hai. Woh thi, hai aur age bhi rahegi.
Prachi whistled. But Ayehsa didn't like it much. They only met Maithli for a few hours and Prachi was acting like she got a jackpot.
Prachi: Usse mana kiyu karoge? Tum usse upar lekar aa jao.
With a smile Shree went away. Liza couldn't bear anymore. She also got up but this time Ayesha stopped her.
Ayesha: Tumhara koi bhi khana lekar aa rahe hai kya?
Liza tried to smile but it didn't reach her eyes.
Liza: Arre nehi. Bas achanak se kuch kaam yaad aa gya to wahi jaa rahi thi.
Chotu: Arre Liza khana khake jana!
So, Liza had to seat for her team's sake. She didn't want to make scene.
Prachi (in mind): Mere pyare teammates. Tum sab kitne bhole ho. Mera kaam asan karte jaa rahe ho. Aab dekho na aab agar picture pe Maithli nehi hoti to mujhe Shree aur Liza ko alag karne ke liye kitna chale chalne padte.
In a few minute Shree came inside along with Maithli with a big bag in hand. It turned out Roshni had brought Biriyani while Maithli brought prathas with chatni and kheer.
Chotu: Kheer! Dekhke hi muh mein pani aa gya.
Shree: Hai na! Meri Mythi kheer bohot accha banati hai. Khaoge to hath chat te reh jaoge!
Shree also called Sameer at the conference hall. Together they spend some time quality time. Though Prachi teased Shree time to time, otherwise team spend a good time. Maithli tried to talk with Liza several times but she avoided.
After the lunch time Maithli left and the team went back to work. Liza was working on her lab when she heard a knock at the door. She turned to see Shree standing at the door.
Shree: Sir ne bheja hai. Forensic reports ke liye.
Liza composed herself and smiled.
Liza: Bas tayar ho gya hai. 5 minutes pe ho jyega. Andar aao na!
Shree came inside and sat on a stool.
Shree: Lize tumse ek bat puchna tha. Aaj lunch time pe Mythi tumse bar bar bat karneki kousis kar rahi thi. Par tumne usse bar bar ignore kiya.
Liza closed her eyes and took deep breath. She will never let him see how his words were affecting her. So, Mr. Shreekant Sen was here because she had hurt his Mythi's feelings!
Shree: Dekho Liza mujhe pata hai ki hamari banti nehi hai. Likin usska badla tum please Mythi se mat lena. Usska insabse koi lena dena nehi hai.
Saying that without waiting for files Shree went away. As soon as Shree went out Liza let the tears fall that gathered at her eyes. Was that all he saw? Couldn't he see the love that she harbored for him? Did he really think that she avoided Maithli just to take revenge from him?
Liza: You need real specks Mr. Shreekant Sen. I hate you.
