PART 15 A

Both changed into night wear & moved to sleep in their respective rooms. Both were thinking about the close encounters of today thou they had posed to be ignorant in front of each other but both were deeply affected by it & specially riya as she had never shared such intimacy & it all still lingered on her body mind & soul & she was not able to shrug it out of her mind.

Arjun state was no better he too was thinking that how he got carried away & know he has to keep all this in serious tab otherwise this all would lead to a deep trouble for him & riya too. Both tried to sleep but could not. Next morning they got ready & went to ETF Office. They got indulged into daily activities of ETF.

Suddenly in the lunch time Ayesha said to riya "Riya paper work to lag bhag khatam ho chukka hai 4 baje tak poora bhi ho jaayega mujhe tumhari help chahiye thi"

Riya looked at ayesha with surprise n said "Help! Kis cheez main?"

Aisha said "Kal karwachauth hai na aur mera pehla vrat hai is liye main kuch special khareedne ka sooch rahi thi sameer & shree dono kehte hai ki tumhara kapdoo main taste bahut accha hai to mere saath chalogi shopping pe apne liye bhi kuch le lena kal tumhara bhi to pehla vrat hoga Riya was bit surprised as she had never thought of keeping a fast. She with a confused mind just nodded in positive. It was 4 PM in the evening & aisha took riya along for shopping after completing their work.

Here in office Arjun was looking for riya for some data here sameer saw Arjun searching for riya he asked "Rawte kya baat hai kise dhoond rahe hoo?"

Arjun said "tumne riya ko dekha hai kya mujhe kuch data chahiye thaw o colaba case ka"

sameer said "wo ayesha ke saath gayi hai shopping ke liye kal karwachauth hai na" Arjun was bit surprised but just nodded & left.

Later Riya came back & after a while sameer called the day off & all went back to their respective places. During the drive Arjun asked "Riya aaj tum aisha ke saath gayi thi"

She nodded n said "Haan wo kal ayesha ka pehla karwachauth hai to wo kuch shopping ke liye mujhe le gayi thi liza lab main busy thi isliye" Arjun nodded & resumed his drive to home.

Riya was lost in her thoughts that weather keep this fast or not as she didn't know how arjun will react to all this & here Arjun too was lost in thoughts that riya would have been uncomfortable with all this as it was her first karwachauth too. After a while they reached their house n chage into comfortable casuals.

Sumitra came & said "are tum dono aa gaye chalo khana kha loo"

She served them dinner & later when they were done with dinner sumitra came with a thaal containing sindoor, red bangles , some dry fruits & a beautiful saree of red color & some money. She handed over the thall to riya & she with surprise "Kaki ye sab kya hai?"

sumitra said "ye tumhara shagun hai beta kal karwachauth haina is liye tumhare liye laayi thi ab pata nahin tum vrat rakhogi ya nahin par ye shagun to tumhara haq hai"

Riya said hesitantly"par kaki shayad mera vrat rakhna arjun sir ko accha na lage wo gussa ho gaye to waise bhi itna kuch ho chukka hai main Arjun sir ko bura lage aisa kuch nahin karna chahti hoo"

Sumitra said "Riya tum patni ho uski or ye tumhara adhikaar hai wo kuch nahin kahega aur yadi kuch kaha to main dekh loongi bas main ye jaanna chahti thi ki kyatum ye vrat rakhna chahti hoo yadi haan to zarror rakho"

riya hugged sumitra n said "Thanks Kaki aap mujhe batayengi na ki ye kaise kartre hai wo mujhe pata nahin hai"

Sumitra smiled at her innocence & said "haan zarror bataungi" with that she told riya all the instruction sregarding the fast & riya made up her mind that she will fast tomorrow & will make sure that arjun is not aware of it.

Next morning riya woke up early as directed by sumitra n quickly freshup & took a shower. She sent a quite prayer to her maa Durga before starting the fast. She quickly had some fruits & some dryfruits given by kaki & started her fast.

After a while arjun got up & after getting ready they both left for ETF early as riya had to complete her pending paper work & arjun had some important meeting.

Riya came & got busy with her paperwork & Arjun went to his meeting leaving riya in ETF. Arjun attended his meeting along with sameer & were informed about a big bomb planting in the city & ETF had to stop it as soon as possible. Both Sameer & Arjun cam back & briefed about the case to the entire team all got busy with the case & finding the bombs lying in the city. Shree N his technical team along with Arjuns presence of mind started to locate the Bombs.

All in all there were 8 bombs & 7 were found & defused but the main Bomb of very high explosive quality was not found yet. All were trying hard & suddenly shree got the trace of the bomb it was in a SEA VIEW mall (imaginary name) near a clear beach of colaba. All reached there & started scaning the mall But dint let any of the local people panic in the mall they just asked them its all for a routine check. They had searched every corner of the mall but all in vain suddenly arjun got something in mind he in no time went to the washrooms of the mall & searched the place & found that bomb were under the cover of bin he asked shree to check it & defuse it.

Shree checked it & said" Sir ye defuse nahin kar sakte hai aur sirf 5 minutes bache hai" Arjun in no time picked up the Bomb & ran towards the sea to throw it on time & rest of the team too went behind him.

Riya was totally numb & watching all this with wide eyes open & was sitting like a statue. Arjun threw the bomb before time & as soon as he threw the bomb it exploded & riyas trance was broken by this & she found that arjun is standing near sea shore n watching the blast. This incident had shook riya to the core. Riya walked back along with the team to the office like a statue she had lost it completely after seeing her husband's life at stake. It was evening now & riya didn't had anything till now & she was hell scared.

After a while sameer called the day off & left with ayesha to celebrate here arjun & Riya too came back home. As it was time to open the fast Sumitra entered the house n said "Riya tayyiyaar ho jao chand nikalne waala hai"

riya nodded & left to change & arjun was stunned at all this he asked sumitra "Kaki ye.."

sumitra said "kyu tujhe kya laga riya ne vrat nahin rakha hoga jaa jaake tu bhi tayyiyaar ho ja "

after a while all ladies of the coloney gathered for pooja riya entered wearing the same saree that sumitra gave her with sindoor & mangalsutra with minimal jewelry & makeup she did the pooja & went back home to open the fast . Riya lit the diya did the aarti & looked arjuns face from channi & then the moon arjun fed her some sweet from the thali & some water. Both were looking at each other with unkown expressions & arjun could see traces on fear on her face.

Riya bend down to touch Arjuns feet but he stopped her by helding her shoulders n said "please riya iski zarrorat nahin hai" his touch & his words seemed to have broken her patience n tears started rolling down her cheeks.

She started weeping in same bend condition on her knees. Arjun was not sure about what made her cry he made her stand & tried to comsole her & she looked at him once with teary eyes n then left to her room leaving a confused arjun behind.

Sumitra after opening the fast went to call riya & arjun for dinner as riya had not eaten anything. Sumitra came & saw Arjun standing with confused face she asked "Kya hua beta riya ne vrat khol liya na chalo jaldi khana kha loo usne subah se kuch nahin khaya hoga"

Arjun said "Kaki kya aapne riya se vrat rakhne ke liye kahah tha? Wo bahut ro rahi thi abhi meri baat sune bagair hi chali gayi"

Sumitra said "nahin too maine usse poocha tha kya wo ye vrat rakhna chahti hai aur usne haan kahah tha subha bhi sahi thi jab se office se aayi hai dari aur sehmi hui hai baat bhi nahin ki kissi se pooja karke seedha chali aayi"

now arjun got the point what was troubling her he said "haan kaki aaj ka case bahut complicated tha" n he narrated her what all happened during the case.

Sumitra said in a furious tone "Arjun tum pagal ho kya tumhe kuch andaza bhi hai riya par kya beeti hogi ye sab dekhkar tumhe apni parwaah nahin hai kam se kam uski to hai na aur tum kyu bhool jaate hoki tumhare saath ek aur zindigi judi hai"

Arjun said "Par kaki main kya karta blast hone deta kya"

sumitra take a deep singh & said "main jaanti hoon beta par riya ..tune uski haalat dekhi hai na ab jaa aur use samjha aur kuch khila bhi dena main khana bhijwati hoon" with that he walked towards riyas room & after that sumitra too moved to her house for arranging dinner.

Arjun entered the room & saw riya laying on the bed & sobbing bitterly tears were continuously flowing from her eyes. Arjun felt bad seeing her like this just because of him he could not gather courage & words to console riya. He just went to riya & put his hand on her shoulder as soon as she felt arjuns hand on her shouldershe jearked off his hands & wiped her tears & was about to go out when arjun held her wrist & pulled her closer she tried to protest but arjun didn't gave her time to react & arrested her in his embrace. She started wiggling in his embrace but he didn't leave her. After initial struggle she too hugged him & started to cry her heart out clutching his shirt tightly.

Arjun patted her back & tried to make her relax he said "Riya mujhe kuch nahin hua hai tum please shant ho jao dekho main ek dum sahi salamat tumhare saamne khada hoon"

riya was still weeping on his shoulders clutching him tight & not listening to him. When he didn't get reply from riya he parted the hug & placed his index figure beneath her chin & made her look into his eyes & voiced out in a mellowed tone "riya! Please calm down main bilkul theek hoon aur jurm se hamara rooz aise hi saamna hota hai main tumhe pehle bhi kaha tha ki ek aam ladki aur ETF ka hissa hone main kya farak hai isliye please aise mat react karo tumhe strong rehna hoga"

Riya said in choaked voice "aapke liye kitna aasan hai kehna ki mujhe kuch nahin hua main theek hoon ye sab karte hue ek baar bhi aapne nahin soocha ki aapke saath ab kissi aur ki zindigi bhi judi hai"

arjun said cupping her face "mujhe pata hai riya par hum sipahi hai aur hume pehle desh ke baare main sochna padta hai tumhi batao kya main bomb wahah pe aise hi chod deta marne deta unsabko" riya hugged arjun tight & nodded in negative & arjun said patting her "please riya ab shant ho jao"
