Hello dearies, here's another new story! So this one is AU, meaning no crime, no roshni, no sikander whatsoever. That being said however, still high-voltage drama and intense themes. So this fic is rated 16+ for coarse language.
Just to reiterate, the characters in this story are different from the show, they don't solve crime, nor are they part of an investigative agency. Sorry.
Just to clear up some confusion, this is a youth, college-based story. So obviously all the characters are very different from what they portray on screen. I don't mean to tarnish their persona on the show, it's just the way i need the characters for this story.
Here's the character cast:
Arjun Rawte -
Shaleen MalhotraSakshi Anand - Mrunal Thakur
Shree - Siddharth Sen
Chotu - Ketan Karande
Anya - Chotu's girlfriend
Karan - Rohit Purohit
Simran - Sheena Bajaj
Ayesha - Sheetal Shah
Shanaya - Madhura Naik (NEW CHARACTER)
Sameer Rawte - Behzaad Khan (this sameer is
totally different from the show)
Jai - Karan Grover (NOT Karan Singh Grover,
the other one haha)

Is that a knife in his hands?! Holy shit!
He's gonna kill me.
I stepped backwards in an effort to increase the distance between us.
Who was he? I had no idea.
It was currently 9:30 P.M., the sky full of darkness. I was heading home from the grocery store, nibbling on some candy. My mom told me not to go this late at night alone because of the bad area the store was located in; but I was dying for some chocolate. Since it was only ten minutes away, I ended up going alone anyway.
As I started to walk on the dimly lit streets that would lead me to my home, I started to notice a man following me only a few minutes after. Upon instinct, I started to walk a little faster; suddenly, he shouted "STOP!" I turned around out of curiosity and slight fear, and that's when I noticed the sharp, metallic knife in his hand.
Cliche much?
Oh. My. God. Why me? Will I die so young?
There are so many things in life I haven't even done yet. What about my mom and dad? Oh god, will this be the last piece of chocolate I ever eat again?
"Hilna mat," he said in a dangerously low tone. His voice was low and sent shivers down my spine. I couldn't see his face because it was too dark, and there weren't any streetlights in that area. At least, not anymore. I swallowed hard. What did he want from me?
"Mere paas kuch keemti cheez nahi hai. I spent all my money on candy and I don't have jewellery - " he cut me off.
"Chup! Apna bakwaas band karo!" He shouted. "I don't want money, or your things."
He raised the knife and pointed it towards me, "I want you."
"Well zahir si baat hai. Agar tumhe mera paisa ya cheezen nai chahiye, tho abviously mujhe hi chahiye hoga!" I said sarcastically, and then instantly regretted the same. Darn me and my non-filtered mouth. Although his face was a mystery, I could feel his temper rising just through the atmosphere. His body tensed up, and his breathing got more ragged.
The guy has a knife, yeh tujhe jaan se maarna wala hai, aur tu hai ki sarcastic comments pass kar rahi hai. Good job Sakshi.
He took a step forward, and I hesitantly took a step back. Beads of sweat started to perforate on my forehead, the fear welting up inside me.
"Hilna mat you little bitch!" He shouted, and I flinched.
Right, he's the one who's gonna kill me, aur bitch mein hoon. Geez, aaj kal koi respect hi nahi deta.
"Ky-kyun? Why do you want me?" I asked as he kept walking towards me, and I continued to walk back.
A little bit of light illuminated the streets, and I could now see his face. Ghinona shakal tha uska, his clothes were a bit torn, and he looked like he hadn't bathed or even changed his clothes in days. I've never seen him before.
Zahir si baat hai na Sakshi, you don't
go about talking to creepy strangers, do you?
Stupid head stop talking! Yeh ek life
or death situation hai!
He smiled in a devilish manner. "Kyunki tum behat khoobsurat ho, and I want to feel the inside of you."
Feel me? What is he - wait what?!
My eyes shot wide in horror, my brown orbs dilating bigger in shock. Is he? Kya who mujhe r-rap... oh god, I can't even say the word.
Ab mein kya karoon? What should I do?!
Become a ninja.
Shut up.
Act like you know karate.
Haan! ... NAHI! Uske paas chaku hai!
Woh toh tujhe katham kardega oversmart ladki!
In an instant, I swiftly turned around and started running like my life depended on it. Well technically, my life DID depend on how fast I was running right now! As I ran through the streets, I looked around with my wandering eyes and took in my surroundings. There was no one around, just an empty road. Where is everyone?! I know this area is a bit deserted, there wasn't there one darn person around?
"RUKO! KAHAAN JAA RAHI HO?!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, and I could hear him running behind me. I ran as fast as I could.
In every story that I've ever read, every movie that I've ever seen, the girl looks back at the guy chasing her and then falls down to the ground. Moral of the story? Don't look back while running; but like the amazing people we are, do we listen? Nope.
So I looked back to see how far the guy was behind me, and guess ki kya hua?
I tripped on my two clumsy feet. How obvious.
As soon as I collided with the cold hard ground, the guy stopped running towards me. I started getting up to run again, but he forcefully grabbed my hands. Suddenly all the street lights went off. Kya perfect timing hai!
"Ab aap kahan jaa rahi hai pyaari motarma?" He said, coming close to me. The knife was so close to my arm.
And then the situation started to actually sink in to my brain - I was going to be raped. I looked around, there was no one. The road was empty. I was sweating like crazy, yet my body was shivering at the same time, goosebumps appearing on my skin everywhere; my heart was pounding through my chest. Tears sprung to my eyes as reality hit me. I blinked repeatedly a few times, in an effort to keep my eyes from erupting a cascade of a waterfall of tears. I would NOT show I'm weak.
I can't run, his hold on me was so tight it was hurting my arms. What do I do? Oh God. Why me? Why?
"Let me go!" I said in a strong voice, as strong as I could make it. My voice was shaking due to my continuous, bodily shivering with adrenaline and fear.
Anger suddenly filled his features.
"Dekh ladki, we can do this the easy way, ya you can make it harder on yourself. Either way, I AM going to take you. Samjhi? Yahaan aas paas koi nahi hai. Koi tumhari maddat ke liye aane nahi waala, so just give up, or else I'll hurt you." He said to me, squeezing the life out of me. I was breathing heavily - it was true; no one was around, and this was going to happen whether I wanted it or not. Whether I was prepared for it or not.
Tears had reappeared into my eyes, and my throat felt dry. Nevertheless, I tried my hardest to control myself from crumpling onto the hard, concrete floor. This couldn't be happening; my innocence could not be taken like this.
Sakshi, scream! My conscience barked at me.
He started to rub his hands up and down my arms.
SCREAM!
And I screamed at the top of my lungs, but he instantly covered my mouth.
"Chilao mat!!!!" He shouted at me for the umpteenth time that night.
