Chapter 14
Days passed Arjun is getting used to Sakshi's presence. Normal fights, taunts and dramas are all there but still he started to accept her as a companion at least. Arjun sure has started feeling huge attraction towards her. Her fragrance, her hair, her smile, her everything and sometimes it has led to some romantic - awkward moments between them. Sometimes Arjun does things purposefully to make her uncomfortable and angry. That is his main source of entertainment now a days. Many signs of " he is in love" are dancing in front of him everyday and he still ignores these signs. But today's incident will give him a chance to re think.
Arjun and Sakshi were getting ready to go for a small family function. Sakshi is getting ready in Arjun's room as there is a big mirror. She wore a green color heavy work saree today. Sakshi was trying to put eyeliner on her eyes when Arjun opened the bathroom door and came inside the room just wearing a towel. Sakshi was feeling shy seeing him like that. So she turned quickly and said
" Arjun get ready fast, we will be late otherwise. I am almost done"
Arjun felt that she is uncomfortable. So he purposefully came near her. His smell was having a huge effect on her. She was trying to concentrate on her eyeliner when Arjun asked
"Who asked you to come here?" I want to change you go to the other room" said Arjun
"Go to the bathroom Arjun, I am busy here or else change here itself I will close my eyes" said Sakshi covering her eyes with hand
He came near her and whispered in her ears "You don't have to cover your eyes when your husband changes" then he left the room
Sakshi's face became red. " oh god, what's happening to him now a days. Always talking in a teasing tone, here I will expect that he will say something but he will just tease me and leave. Don't these things affect him?"
Same time Arjun is also thinking "what did I just say? Don't have to close her eyes? What's happening to me? Why can't I think straight whenever I am near her?"
When he came back to the room Sakshi was ready and waiting for him.
He wore a black suit and looking dashing in that.
" Hmm Looking handsome" said Sakshi admiring him
He looked at her top to bottom. But didn't say anything
"How do I look? Nice saree right" asked Sakshi
" Yes, Saree is very good. But what's the point. You are the one who is wearing it" smirked Arjun
" Take that back" and she walked angrily towards him and gave him one push but then Arjun held her hand and pulled her towards him. He moved his fingers towards her eyes and touched there softly , his hand was warm and she closed her eyes.
He was watching her... Her closed eyes, her bindi, her reddish cheeks, her lips. She was wearing a light cherry color lip gloss. He wanted to taste that cherry badly. But he controlled his desire and made himself believe that it's all just an attraction. Then he wiped the eye liner and Sakshi opened her eyes
"Eye liner spread a bit" he said showing his hand. Sakshi suddenly came back to reality and went down stairs
They reached the venue within half an hour.
" when will Maa and Dad reach" asked Sakshi
"They just started from home, I hope they will reach soon" said Arjun
But soon Sakshi got some ladies to talk. Arjun also got some company so he was talking with them. Arjun doesn't know where Sakshi went. He tried her cell but didn't get any response. And then he saw her walking towards him, she looks tensed.
"Where did you go Sakshi? I was trying your cell phone" asked Arjun
"Arjun there is a problem" said Sakshi
"What happened? Are you alright?" Asked Arjun with concern
"No I am not. My saree is becoming loose. It's very bad. I have to drape it again" whispered Sakshi
"Are you serious Sakshi? How can you be so irresponsible? Didn't you put a safety pin to fix that?" Whispered back Arjun angrily
"No the work on pleats is very heavy so I couldn't fix it by myself" said Sakshi
"Ok. So what are you waiting for? Go to some room and fix it" said Arjun
"Don't you understand, I can't do it alone. I need your help" said Sakshi
"What?" Asked Arjun with a terrified expression
If the circumstance was different Sakshi would have laughed out loud seeing his expression
"Have you lost it? How can I do that"asked Arjun
"Who will do it then? Should I ask the waiter ? Asked Sakshi angrily " I can't wait until Maa comes. Please Arjun it's serious. You just close your eyes and do it" said Sakshi
Arjun looked at her face for any traces of drama. But didn't find any. She almost has tears in her eyes. So he asked her to follow him. He went to the venue manager and asked key of one room. He gave it and they entered the room.
Arjun looked around the room to check if there is any hidden camera. And was satisfied when he find none.
"Ok.. Now tell me what should I do?" Asked Arjun
"For now close your eyes while I drape the saree again and when I ask you to open then come and fix the pin" said Sakshi
Arjun shook his head and turned to the opposite side. He can hear the sound of her bangles.
"What if I turn now?" Asked Arjun naughtily
"I know you won't. You are the perfect gentleman Arjun. I told you that day, I trust you the most, and still if you want to turn, do it at your own risk" Said Sakshi
( the words in italics are a battle between his brain and heart)
Is she the same one who almost got tears few minutes back? Now she is totally cool ...and why is she trusting me so much?" Asked his brain
"Well, she loves you idiot and you are her husband"said his heart
" Hey don't call me idiot" said his brain
"Or what should I call you? A girl is waiting for your love and you also love her but not ready to accept it so what should I call that person?" Asked his heart
"I don't love her ok? Yes I like her presence, her talk, her smile, her smell, her hair especially when it's wet, her lips, her eyes..that's it"said his brain
His inner self smirked and said " And what is the name of these feeling?"
"I don't know.. Don't irritate me ok?" Said his brain
"Arjun Arjun.. What are you dreaming I am ready. Now come" screamed Sakshi
He suddenly came out from that dream self
Sakshi was standing there holding all her pleats
Arjun removed his coat and walked to her.
"Ok what should I do now" asked Arjun
"I will tuck these pleats inside and you need to fix the pin on the pleats so that it won't become loose" said Sakshi
"Ok.. Give me the pin" Said Arjun and he sat in front her on his knees
Arjun took a deep breath and held it. His hands softly touching her bare waist.He swallowed hard and tried to concentrate. But The work on the fabric is very heavy and it's very difficult to pin it and on top of it Sakshi is trying to cover her waist which is disturbing his work
"Sakshi manage your saree . I can't see the pleats properly" said Arjun so she folded it and put it on her shoulder. But now it's more difficult to concentrate as he can clearly see her milky skin
"Arjun do it fast, Maa and Dad must be reaching soon" said Sakshi impatiently
"Easy for you to say" muttered Arjun
He gave her a hard glare and again tried concentrated on his work. He had to try three times before fixing it properly
"See if this is good" said Arjun still sitting there and keeping his hands on her bare skin. That touch is making him crazy. He is trying hard to control his feelings. He could feel that his heart might overpower his brain any moment.
"Yes this is fine. Thank you so much Arjun" she gave a big smile
"Now from now on, don't you ever go out without fixing it properly Samjhe ya Samjhavu?" warned Arjun
"You will be there naa, so why should I worry? Joked Sakshi "I haven't seen any man like you Arjun, You were fixing the saree of your wife and you didn't even look at me, you know if it was a hindi movie it would have been such a romantic ... Aah Arjun"
Arjun pulled her to him so forcefully even before she finish her sentence. He was trying hard to control his feelings but when he heard this from Sakshi he couldn't stop himself.
"Do you want a romantic scene now?hmm?" Asked Arjun in a husky voice caressing her waist
" Arjun .. I was just.. " stammered Sakshi
"Don't tempt me Mrs Rawte, you will regret it" said Arjun
"Arjun leave me... Please" said Sakshi
He still kept looking in to her eyes.
"Do you really want me to leave you now?" Asked Arjun
Sakshi blushed and looked down
"Sakshi look at me" but she didn't look up
"Don't you ever challenge me, understand?" said Arjun and loosened the hold
Sakshi was a bit disappointed but didn't show it.
He went to take his coat and wore it. Then he slowly approached her and she walked backwards until she hit the wall.He put one hand on the wall and leaned to her and said in a low voice
"Your face is all red sweetheart. What happened? Not able to manage me?That day you were texting me very confidently that you were already managing me very well. But now when I come close, you are not even looking at me. Is this how you deal with your husband? Now I will show you how to deal with a wife who tempts her husband. Saying this he leaned closer. With each second Arjun's lips are getting closer to hers. They are lost in each other and can feel each other's breath on their face
Suddenly someone knocked the door and both of them came back to the real world. Arjun suddenly took his hand from the wall and for a second he stood there confused and then composed himself and went to open the door. It's his mom.
" Maa ...when did you reach?" Asked Arjun still breathing heavily
"I reached 15 minutes back but then some one told me that you guys are in this room. Why are you both sitting here, come out... and why your face is so red" Asked Mom turning to Sakshi
"Woh Maa, Sakshi wanted to fix her saree and she needed my help. That's why we came here" he said without thinking
Sakshi glared him and give him a " what did you say" look. Sakshi knew now mom will start connecting things and will reach to some crazy conclusions
Then he realized his slip but Mom already started to talk
"Helping her with saree? I see, so that's why you look red" said Mom controlling her laugh
Arjun covered his eyes with his left hand and groaned "Maa please.. Ok you guys talk, I am going there to meet Dad"
Sakshi nodded her head no to him. She is sure Maa will ask something and even she didn't understand what happened there. But Arjun walked away.
"Oh god what would have happened if mom didn't come?" Asked his brain in a shock
"Don't look so shocked, you wanted that" said his heart
"I wouldn't have done anything, it's all Sakshi's fault. She tempted me" said his brain
"So you are saying Arjun Rawte will do anything if one woman comes and tempt him?" Asked his heart
"Oh hello, it's not any girl, it's Sakshi.. That's why I ..." Said his brain but suddenly realized the slip
"Where were you Arjun?"
His heart and brain conversation was interrupted by his dad
Same time in the room
"Why didn't you tell me that everything is fine between you two" asked Maa
"It's not fine Maa, or it is sometimes.." Then she sighed and said "well,it's complicated" said Sakshi
"What happened? You both looked perfectly fine and helping with a saree is not a small step" said Maa in a naughty tone
"Maa.. I didn't have any option. You weren't here and I was in a pretty bad condition. So I called him,at least he is my husband and I can trust him" said Sakshi
Maa still has a smile on her lips and she said
"he cares for you.. That's good. Now let's go from here"
Said Maa
Mrs Rawte knows so many people. She met everyone and introduced Sakshi to them then they went to the table where Arjun and dad are sitting.
"Arjun, let's go and eat. Tonight you are coming to the mansion right?" Asked Mom
"Haan Maa we will be coming there, let's eat then" said Arjun
They were walking to the place where food is kept when Arjun texted Sakshi
"Are you comfortable in the saree now?"
There was a small smile on her lips when she read that, she looked back and nodded her head with a small smile. Arjun also smiled a bit and looked away.
After the dinner all of them reached mansion around midnight.
"Now you go to bed, we will talk tomorrow. It's very late" said Mom to Arjun and Sakshi
Sakshi was feeling so akward and shy to face Arjun after what happened during the saree fixing session. She is not talking anything Arjun sensed it and decided to tease her more.So he approached Sakshi who was standing in front of a mirror to remove her jewels.
"Any help?" Asked Arjun smugly
" what do you mean?"
"You know, to fix or remove anything" said Arjun controlling his laughter
Sakshi knew he is teasing her and she got irritated by that
"One time I asked your help doesn't mean that I can't do anything without your help" said Sakshi angrily
"Oh someone is in a bad mood" taunted Arjun
Even he didn't know why, but he felt so light whenever he does this small fights with her.
"What is his problem today. Just ready to make fun of me. Is he the same Arjun" thought Sakshi but didn't respond and went to bathroom to change and came back. Arjun was already on bed and again he took both the pillows. But this time Sakshi is ready to fight
"Arjun, give me one pillow" ordered Sakshi
"What kind of tone is that?" Asked Arjun casually
"You are so insensitive, you don't even care about others ACP" shouted Sakshi
He didn't respond and Sakshi tried to grab the pillow. But it didn't work. So she went to the cupboard and wore her bangles and anklets. She know that sound will not give him sleep. She came to bed and lied down near him and started to make sound purposefully.
"Sakshi" called Arjun
"I can't hear you, and I won't listen to you" said Sakshi and covered her ears
"Sakshi remove those bangles this instant" said Arjun and grabbed her hand but his grip was strong and that broke her bangles and her wrist started bleeding.
Sakshi knew breaking bangles and bleeding her hands are not a big deal but she started to cry so convincingly that Arjun actually felt bad
"What did you do Arjun, it was my favorite bangle set. And see my hands are bleeding , it hurts"
"I am sorry Sakshi, I didn't expect that. Let me take the medicine kit" saying that he went to take the medicine kit.
Sakshi didn't miss the chance, she grabbed a pillow and rested her head on it.
"Oh so breaking bangles was not that bad I guess" said Arjun when he came back
"No it's not" said Sakshi smugly
"Anyways your hand is bleeding let me dress that , get up"
She got up taking the pillow with her.
Arjun rolled his eyes seeing that and started to remove the bangles before dressing. He removed all the bangles then put medicine to it and dressed it.
"Now lie down" said Arjun and went away
"Arjun Why can't you show this caring side more often, you are always busy being akdu" said Sakshi
"You are doing things like that which deserves only my akdu side" said Arjun
"So what should I do to deserve your caring side Arjun?" Asked Sakshi and Arjun suddenly turned his head and looked straight in to her eyes and said
"You will understand that slowly" said Arjun
"Why can't you give me straight answer Arjun"
"You are asking questions like that, now Sakshi I am really tired, I want to sleep. Let's not argue now " said Arjun and closed his eyes
"Why are you so complicated Arjun, sometimes you behave like we are actual couples and the next minute you will treat me like a team mate. Which is your true side?" Asked Sakshi angrily irritated by his complicated nature
Arjun turned to her side and asked " when did I behave like we are couples?"
" Don't pretend Arjun, you know what I am talking about" Said Sakshi
"I don't have to answer to anybody, Sakshi sleep now" said Arjun but his thoughts were very different " Even I don't know what I did there Sakshi, hopefully I will get the answer soon" thinking all these things he drifted in to a sleep
