CHAPTER 25:

Sakshi was resting in her room. Arjun was down in the hallroom. Today was Sameer's wedding. She was feeling uneasy from the morning but kept her mouth shut. She didn't want to ruin the day. She attend the wedding with a happy mind and did the gutbandhan at Aisha's request. But after the wedding she couldn't held back anymore. She almost fainted. Arjun caught her in time. He carried her back to room and changed her cloths. Mrs. Rathod called doctor. Everybody came and make a crowd outside of her room. But they didn't came in. Doctor came and checked her. Then she assured her that it's normal for pregnant woman to feel this. After assuring everybody they went from there. Arjun sat there with her for a long time. He didn't say anything just caressed her hair. Sakshi knew that he wanted to help the rest of them in work but for her he was sitting there. After sometime Sakshi pretend to sleep to send him away but he wasn't easy to be fooled. He said nothing but stayed with her. After some more time Mrs. Rathod called Arjun and requested him to drive Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor to the hotel. Arjun had no choise but to obey. He pecked softly in her lips and went from there. She was thinking about Arjun. How they met. What happened. Everything. She was feeling dizzy but sleep refused to came to her.

Suddenly she heard a light knock at the door. First she thought it was Arjun but dissmissed the idea next instant. Arjun never knocked. Who it could be? She pulled the blanket over her properly.

Sakshi: Come in.

To her surprise Riya entered. She looked dashing today in a maroon colored lahenga with golden work. She came inside and sat beside her.

Riya: Aab kaisa feel kar rahi ho?

Sakshi smiled faintly.

Sakshi: Pehle se behtar. Thoda dizzyness abhi bhi hai.

Riya smiled at her effort.

Riya: Tumhe to jhoot bhi thikse bolna nehi ati. I know ki tumhari tabyat abhi bhi bohot kharap hai. But don't worry. Sab thik ho jyega.

Sakshi nodded.

Riya: Arjun sir wapas aa gye hai but woh aunty ne unhe kuch kaam de dya hai issliye thoda busy hai. So, I thought ki main ekbar check karlu ki tumhe kuch chahiye ki nehi.

Sakshi: Thanks but it's ok. I don't anything. Accha ek batao tumhare aur Karan ke bech jhagda ho gya hai kya?

Riya became silent. After the incident of the sangeet day Karan kept a distance with her. She went to talk to him but he just replied with short answer. Was she missing him that much? Why is it bugging her? Why seeing him with other women pricked at her heart? What is happening?

Sakshi put a hand over her hand and gave it a squeeze.

Sakshi: Agar koi baat tumhe pareshan kar rahi hai to mujhe baata sakhte ho.

Riya wanted to tell her everything but held back. She didn't want to give Sakshi more stress. So, she forced a smile.

Riya: Relax. I am fine. Nothing is bothering me. Waise bohot jald hame ek aur good news milne wala hai. Shree aur Liza ke shadi ke news.

Sakshi giggled. After proposing Liza, Shree announced his relation infront of everybody. Everybody was really happy for them. After some more talking Riya left.

After finishin work Arju came in the room. Sakshi was lying with eyes closed. Arjun knew she wasn't sleeping. After changing clothes and freshing up Arjun went to bed. He dragged Sakshi to him and hugged tighly. Sakshi tur around and snaked her hand around his waist. Arjun caressed her back. They stayed sometime like this with breaking the silence. After sometime Arjun rubbed his cheek with hers.

Arjun: Sakshi aab kaisa feel kar rahi ho?

Sakshi: Better. Arjun tum bohot thak gye ho na?

Arjun: Hmmm.

Arjun ywaned.

Arjun: Tumhe kuch chahiye candy?

Sakshi: Ha. Mujhe na kulfi khani hai.

Arjun: Kya? Kulfi? Main iss waqt tumhare liye kulfi kaha se lao?

Sakshi: Mujhe kya pata? Mujhe man kar raha hai bas.

Arjun: Thik hai. Abhi so jao main kal subha tumhare liye kulfi la dunga.

Sakshi sat up in the bed and started crying.

Sakshi (between sobbing): Tum...mujhse bilkul...bhi..pyar nehi..karte. (Hiccup) Maim tumse kitna...pyar karti hoom. Ek baby...bhi dene wali..hoom. Aur tum..(hiccup)..mere liye itna bhi..nehi kar sakhte.

Arjun got panicked. He got up and started getting ready.

Arjun: Sakshi please rona bandh karo. Main ja raha hoom.

Without uttering another word he went out. Sakshi's eyes welled up again.

Sakshi: Arjun mujhse naraj ho ke kiyu gye. Mujhe kulfi nehi chahiye. But plz mujhse naraj maat hona.

She got up in search for him. To stop him. But he already went out. Everybody were already in sleep. She sat on the front porch in cold. Waiting for him.

Arjun searched almost everywhere but didn't find kulfi. Suddenly he saw a small shop. An middle aged man was closing it. Arjun parked the car and went there.

Arjun: Bhaiya aapke dukan pe kulfi milega?

Man: hain per abhi nehi milega. Dukan bandh kar raha hoom.

Arjun: Please bhaiya. Dekhiye meri biwi maa banne wali hai. Ab usse kulfi khani hai. Sab jayga dhund liya sirf yaha mila. Please.

Man: Toh the pehle bata dena chahiye tha na!! Jab meri biwi maa banne wali thi tab pata hai kitna kuch khane ki mangti thi. Kabhi kabhi toh bohot mushkil ho jata tha.

He handed Arjun five kulfi and when went to give cash he refused.

Man: Sahab paiso se aap saab nehi kharid sakhte. Yeh mere taraf se ek chota sa tofa samajhke rakh lijiye.

Arjun got really happy hearing this. He knew if he insist him to take money it would insult him. Taking the kulfi he went back home. He parked the car and went towards the house. But he wasn't ready for the sight that greeted him.

Sakshi was sitting in the front porch. Tears were rolling down from her eyes. Seeing him she stood up and ran towards him. She hugged him tightly and hide her face in his cheast.

Arjun became shocked but hugged her in returned.

Arjun: Kya hua Sakshi? Tum yaha?

Sakshi: Main bohot buri hoom. Tumhe kitna satati hoom. Mujhse naraj an hona.

Arjun understood what she was talking about. He scooped her up in his arms and took her to the room. He closed the door and placed her in the bed. He sat beside her and caress her cheek.

Arjun: Candy main bilkul bhi naraj nehi hoom. Trust me. Mujhe accha lagta hai agar tum mujhse kuch mango to. Dekho main tumhare liye kulfi bhi laya hoom.

Sakshi got happy. She ate five kulfi in one row. After that Arjun changed his dress and went to bed. He hugged Sakshi from behind and coner themselves with blanket. He nuzzled her neck and placed soft kiss in her neck.

Arjun: Good night candy. Good night princess. Sleep well.
