CHAPTER ONE

Arjun glanced at his watch for the umpteenth time. He hated late-comers. Specially, not when he was impatiently waiting for that person.

Which this new requited member had proved to be. That is the first thing he is going to teach this new member.

To Be On Time.

He looked up at DIG sir. He seemed cool. It confused him even more.

This new comer has kept DIG sir waiting for the last 45 minutes and he is completely cool with it. As if he was expecting it to happen.

But, this kind of behavior was totally unacceptable in ETF.

The basic lesson of Respecting your senior officers seemed to have been forgotten by this lady.

And as the Chief of ETF, Arjun decided to take this responsibility to fit some adequate manners in the newbie.

What's so special about her?

He thought angrily.

He hadn't never heard about this Ananya Das, in his entire career. Well, neither did anyone else.

Because she was undercover.

That's what DIG sir said. Still, it doesn't stand as a good enough excuse for delaying a team. She doesn't even know how a team works.

Because she has always worked alone.

Another fact about her as told by DIG Sir. She didn't know the meaning of Team. Neither had he in the start. But Sameer made him A PART of the team. And now as the chief it is his responsibility to do so. He is her senior after all.

But her relations with her seniors is itself a worth telling story.

Yeah, Shree had found out SOMETHING about her. The very reason why she was made to work alone. Seniors were always threatened when she was posted under them. How is she still a part of the police force then? Why wasn't she suspended long back?

Because she is effective.

Damn! These words. These were the words that was striking something in him. Though he had never seen or heard of her, yet these facts made her very familiar. He wondered how.

"She is another Arjun Rawte." He heard Chotu whispering into Shree's ears.

Yes. She reminded him of himself.

He glanced around.

Aisha was glancing at her watch and trying to keep a straight face. Sakshi didn't bother to show her impatience. She was tapping her feet and carrying a frown on her face.

She looked at him suddenly and with the same abrupt he turned his graze in another direction. He knew what was coming now.

"Arj..." She opened her mouth.

He raised his hand to silence her. The last thing he needed was fuel in the fire.

This proved that others were in the similar state of mind.

Where the hell was this Ananya Das?

As if answering to him, the door slammed wide open.

And there stood the Infamous Cop in all Glory.

Encounter Specialist Ananya Das. The newly appointed second-in-command of ETF.
