A scary episode.One that I had to watch at a time when I was very alone in my house and with a fierce storm brewing outside.😆
That even in the year 2013 our country and society is still under the hold of silly superstitions & rituals is worrisome.The brutal killing of Dr Dabholkar of Maharashtra Andhavishwas Nirmoolan Samiti is proof how far the denizens of archaic beliefs are willing to go to preserve these
superstitions.Instead of being terrorized by fear of some "Pishach" the villagers should have formed a vigilante group among themselves to protect their own.Heart went out to that poor father who had to go out looking for a doctor for his sick son & lost his life in the process.If only the neighbours had formed a large group & helped the poor man, a woman & her son would not have lost a loved one & the sole bread winner of the family.Sad state of affairs.
Though it only briefly touched upon it child abuse also formed a crucial part of this story.Virendra was emotionally abused by his step mother & thus sowing the first seeds of the disease in his mind.He turned to his father for support & love & was so dependent upon it that once Chaudhry lost his life he took with him what normalcy was left of this extremely troubled man.He first tasted blood by killing his step mother.The ten year incarceration kept him from taking lives but once released he promptly took to killing again.Raja Chaudhry did justice to his role with his subtle performance. Good choice but I was expecting a little more aggression from him.
Somehow the screeplay disappointed me a bit.The frames looked empty & the usual authority the ETF commands was missing.It looked more like a
group of researchers led by Arjun out on an expedition.What happened to Chotu? Is there some problem with him too? We need him back & we need Rathore or someone new assigned in his place soon.
As always the burden of the whole episode fell on Mr Malhotra.A burden he carried with usual aplomb & fabulous grace. 👍🏼Focussed & in the character again as always.After a long time I was immensely pleased to see his rowdy style when he slapped Patil's guard. 👏

Of course!The cherries of the cakes were the shirts especially the lilac one.Kuch alag hi noor aa jata hai insaan mein whenver he wears it!
Since the story was set in a quaint maharashtrian village he could have been given a bit more marathi lines.
Shital was not used properly in this episode.But whatever screen presence she'd done it well.As did Shree.The precap was heartening to see with both of these super talented people having significant roles.Lets see & hope for the best.
Liza was involved more in brainstorming with the detectives than in forensic work.😕
Good episode.Mostly because of Shaleen & Arjun.But could have been better.😊
