CHAPTER 7
Seeing him speechless Riya spoke,
"Kya hua ACP bolti kyon band hogayi"
Arjun on the other hand was replaying the scenes in his mind.He remembered how Rosh had betrayed him how he had walked in on her with another man how she had broke his heart.
Then again he remembered how he had broke Riya's heart.It was time to let her go,whatever he had done wasn't worth a forgiveness.
Suddenly the cruel and ruthless ACP Rawte was back.
Something had changed and Riya could feel it,why did she have to go and ruin the mood she thought but then again why would she want to spend nice and lovey dovey time with him.She had seen the way at first his shoulders had slumped and the weary expression of pain and betrayal flashed in his eyes.She knew thet look coz she too had felt it.
Per kyun yeh nahi pata tha akhir Arjun aaj bhi akela kyun hai aur yesa kyun hai,something was hidden.The pain only reflected for a min then again Mr.cold rawte was back.His shoulders suddenly squared in confidence and determination.
Both sat in front of the fire silently in eachother's thoughts.Eventually Riya fell asleep and Arjun supported her on his shoulders.He didn't sleep even a wink afraid he would the precious minutes to gaze at her.
When Riya woke she was lying on Arjun and he had his arms around her as if protecting her from everything.
Feeling awkward Riya tried to get up hoping he wouldn't force her to stay but to her surprise and secret dismay Arjun just let her go.
They again started their journey but now it was an awkward silence hanging in the air and the tension was thick.
Riya was beyond understanding.She thought"Ab isse kya hua kal se bohot ajeeb behave kar raha hai"
Arjun had that poker face on and no on could read his expression.
They reached a highway and there Arjun forcefully made Riya sit on a huge rock while he waited for vehicles to pass by so they could get a lift.
Soon enough they got a punjabi family travelling.
It was a typically punjabi truck and filled with family members.
"Kya hame lift milsakti hai seher tak jane ke liya"Arjun asked
The punjabi uncle looked forward and saw Riya.
"Oh koi nahi ji ap or apki MRS aagao"
Arjun wanted to correct him but hey he needed a lift so just shrugged and went to get Riya.
Arjun climbed the truck but didn;t help Riya,
"ETF officer hai khud aajayegi'he thought
But the ladies in the back didn't think so
"aree apni biwi ko bhi toh madat karo"
Silently Arjun helped her while Riya got confused.She looked at Arjun but he just nodded.
Now both were going to sit away but the ladies again interupted and they sat together.
Ladies gossiped together,
"lagta hai dono ke bich jhgda hua hai"
"haan par dekho kitna pyarr karte hai"
"haan ek dusre ko baar baar dekh rahe hai"
Now the ladies decided to play cupid !!!!!
