Chapter 13

The basement was full of dirt and it was dark. The falling winter and the chillness of the atmosphere was making the basement is even more cold. None could imagine a high level advanced technical lab just right under the floor. He was so much impressed by the security system and his own creation, after all he' didn't waste his blood for failure.

He pressed his thumb impression on the biometric scanner. It was very brilliantly placed inside a broken electric transformer which was now a junk box that would attract no attention. He waited for the scanning results. The biometric scanner have all the applications specifically designed by him and only he could control the access system. H flinched for a second when the micro thin needle pressed into his thumb and blood oozed out. The biometric scanner is a specialized scanner which detects traces of particular chemical sample from the blood serum thus identifying the person is about to enter.

MATCHED'

The caps letter flashed over the touch screen of the scanner which indicated the identification process was complete. He switched off the scanner and closed the junk box and waited 5 seconds and a heavy dust covered metal door opened from the wall as if it was immersed in the wall. He entered inside which was actually an elevator which took him to the ground floor.

And finally there exist his paradise. A fully fledged advanced technical lab full with computers, scanners, explosives, overall now he have a advanced mini base camp that the US army have. He should better thank his computer science professor who taught him not to follow the theories and what he have now is marvellous. He is impressed with himself.

He settled over a chair in front of a computer, personal and has the authority to control all the computers. Now finally time for some work. he inserted the micro SD into the digital scanner and connected it to the computer. He punched some keys on the board and a new page flashed on the screen, finally the list he has ever wanted. You have helped me a lot darling, but now it's time for you to rest in peace. He smiled and called someone. All he said is finish her'.

TWO HOURS LATER

James came inside the detention chamber along with two FBI officials and opened the chamber of Sam. The officers cuffed his hand with the armlets and dragged him out. He has particularly no idea what is happening there. Last time the female officer was so nice to him and at least he had some hope he will be out soon. He will be with Aisha and Shaan his complete family but suddenly there is other unexpected things happening around.

where are you guys taking me'?

tell me damn it'!

He saw riya coming towards him and her face was all tensed. He screamed her name in bewilderment.

Officer Riya'!!!!

She shrugged off and looked at the both FBI official. They left his both arms, as he was trying to struggle.

What is all this happening Officer? Where they are taking me'?

I am sorry agent! They are taking you to the DOD. Now it's all in the DODs hand. I hope you will deal with them, they are your people. Aren't they'?

What? But why DOD? And what about the person who trapped me? I can't understand what is happening here'?

They will make you understand everything'! This is all what she replied and marched with other two FBI officials towards Arjun's chamber.

don't make it more difficult for yourself man', said James and Sam finally stopped struggling and followed him.

She unlocked the lock of Arjun's chamber. There was a slight smirk on her lips and she was confident that she is playing it better.

He looked at her as if she is his lifeline. She always wanted to see this feeling on his face but now in a different way. Love? It was not. Pity? Yes!!!

He was continuously staring at her forms, studying all her actions for any hint that would help him. His condition was a little better. He felt it better inside.

Bhagne mai jada maja aata hai ya bhagane mai'?

She winked. Her forms now still. She just hopes that he got the signal or the hint she is trying to give him.

kar sakte ho toh kar ke dikhao'! he could not help but smile. Her hindi is getting more better day by day and all thanks to him. it was the only time when she would listen to him silently and he'd teach her hindi. She already had that ascent from her parents but after her parents death, she and hindi was poles apart until she met arjun. And those Hindi teaching sessions were the only time when he was not a spy and the real arjun Rawte who enjoyed as much teaching her hindi and now more happy to know that at least she used it somewhere.

ek hi.. aa.. kri mauka hai tumare pas'! she finished.

She knew her hindi ascent would make him believe that whatever she is saying is true and that happened too.

Outside the FBI head quarters

Though his body feeling better he still was having problem walking and he already knew this would not be easy doing. Suddenly his eyes fell on the SUV and the person standing between the guards. He looked back astound at the direction of riya.

where are they taking him'?

Where they would be taking you', he felt the two FBI officials dragging him by his arms towards the SUV. Charlie was talking to someone over the phone and Taliya was checking something over her tab. There was another officer standing just behind Sam. He had different dressing. He was one of the DOD officers, he recognized when he saw the batch over his hat. All seemed everything okay. The officers scanning eyes landed upon him and he then started talking over the talkie.

Riya was standing close to him and he noticed it she did that purposely. It was when the guards asked Sam to sit inside all of them heard a loud shout of a female voice who was continuously calling for Sam'.

Aisha , he have never expected Aisha to be there early in the morning but all he saw was the woman running directly towards the SUV where sam is standing and behind her two other FBI security guards running to stop her. she lunged directly over Sam catching his hand but was so brutally stooped by the guards. The guards were trying as much not to hurt her physically, warned her constantly not to struggle but she never listened.

She kicked one of the guards on his stomach but of no use, other two female officers came along to control her. Aisha was constantly calling Sam, where are you taking him away... he is innocent'!

Here sam was getting all restless seeing his wife crying and pleading. But he was more helpless to even go and console her. he could not even tell her that why they are taking him away and he do not have the guts to tell her that, he himself don't know when he will be back or if he will be back or not.

guards easy', said the DOD officer and the two female officers freed her. she was pleading to talk to him, not to take him away, that he is innocent. And finally she embraced him with wrapping her arms around his neck , wetting his shirt with her tears.

He hugged her tight and then asked her to look at his face. She was longing for the miraculous touch that always healed her, his tight embrace that always soothed her, his husky protective voice which reminds her that she exists, she didn't know but she felt she would not feel him anymore. He was pleading her to look at her face. The foul promises he'd make, or will talk about hope, which he knew is lame... but he will have to do it. They are the only people he has now.

Aisha looks at me??'

She stubbornly nodded in a no.

Aisha Please'!!

And she finally she looked at his face, into his blank eyes that reflects no assurance. All he wanted to do was to touch her once, hug her once and kiss her once... he don't know of it's the last of these things.

He took her face in his hand and pressed his lips over her head , tears streaming down his face. Then he looked back at her face again.

You will tell him that daddy loves him a lot..
He is my brave son
And he will never give up'!

He asked questioningly.

She nodded crying.

don't lose hope Aisha... I will do something..'

yes you will have to Sam'

I will', he promised and the time the guards tried to push him inside the SUV when they heard another voice of chaos.

Taliya, Charlie and James all turned their head in fright when they saw their technical expert at gun point. She was being dragged towards another SUV at the opposite direction.

Stop right there or I will shoot her', he shouted.

Gun down Arjun... you know you can't escape', shouted Charlie angrily.

You gun down, or I will shoot her'! he pressed the gun point over her forehead. She was still trying to kick him but in vain. She was trapped there. Charlie didn't lower his gun.

Here the DOD officer was calling for extra force and ordered the Officers to take away sam securely.

Taliya and James both stepped forward and a gunshot was heard.

Blood oozes out of her lower abdomen and she cried in pain.

You surely don't want to lose your technical expert Charlie'

stop it arjun, do whatever, we will get you'

The next gunshot was heard.

James curled to his knees. His second bullet hit James on his leg and he slumped on the floor.

Guns down'- Charlie finally ordered.

Extra forces from the DOD arrived soon when arjun shouted.

come on! Get inside...'

He opened the passenger seat door and pushed her inside and himself made it inside. She was wincing in pain. He pushed her into the driving seat and asked her drive pointing the gun at her forehead. The engine started and finally they are out of the FBI office, being followed by the FBI vans all over behind them.

she was driving the car in streets of new York city. The city always in chaos and in rush. She glanced at the rear view mirror. The FBI cars are following their car. Arjun lowered his gun from her forehead which was actually her gun. First her face looked panicked, then tensed. He followed her gaze towards the mirror and saw the cars.

He could not believe how things happened so swiftly in minutes. Just days before he was with this woman talking about their spoiled relationship status, then being shot right below the heart breaking the rib cage, being arrested by FBI and exposed of being a spy. Now the game is changed. Now he has this woman, the chief technical expert of the FBI is driving the car and they are escaping. He could not believe, even after doing all this to her, she is still helping him. Something is just not right.

Now what'?

He turned his head and asked her.

Punch that screen...' she told him, her hand clutching tightly under her abdomen and now she was losing her grip and sighed in relief.

what? Why'?

you want those DOD navel commandos track down this car and kill you? Because I know this time they will surely kill you'!

okay'... how is your wound? You had your jacket right then this blood'? he noticed the blood flow and it was not stopping.

THUD' and the screen went blank.

now'? he asked, when she rushed her driving. She was driving madly in the streets turning left right left and right, giving wrong signals of indicator and entered into another congested street.

open that dashboard and make that pain killer ready'!! she said and he did so.

He was about to hand her that injection, they heard a loud thud and the back side wind shield just smashed into pieces. Both of them just bend their head down, when the car suddenly crashed into a street poll and the direction of the car changed, which hit another car on the way. And there cause a road block. She looked back. She could hear the sound of the chopper near now and she knew this is the last chance. The pain killer injection fell from his hand but she still didn't stop the car, it was a good chance as the FBI cars were blocked over there on the streets but she knew it would not be this easy. They have their ways to reach.

There was an old building and she drove the car into next lane, of that street. It was even more crowded with people. she crashed the car with the old buildings gate and the gates flew open. Both of their body jerked forward and the crashing cause the front wind shield smash into pieces too. He was still figuring out what is just happening. He has never seen her in this action mode before.

what are we doing?' he asked confused.

Running'! She said and unfastened her seat belt and asked him to do so! She tried to open the door of the car but was locked and they were running out of time. she tried to kick the door but no help. She was literally in pain and just slumped in the seat.

you relax! I am doing it! he also tried to kick the door but no help and suddenly popped his head out of the open wind shield and with the support of the bonnet of the car he came out crawling. Then he pulled her out of the car with great difficulty with the wound.

First he laid her on the bonnet of the car and leaned inside again to search something.

He didn't think of second time and pulled her into his arms. Lifting her body over his shoulder he started running inside, in the direction of the back of the old building. Even his body was also weak but he was trying, trying not to stop. He was tired, with all running and the chase, and this over weight on his body.

Once he was at the back side of the building rested her body down and settled her on the floor.

you are okay'? he asked cupping her face.

She just nodded in reply. There were broken glass pieces over her face and neck. he removed them first. He looked back and saw the blood drops on the floor. she followed his gaze. They kept looking each other for some minutes. She lowered her hand, towards her stomach and then into her pocket taking out a white hanky.

She folded that hanky and pressed it into the wound. next she removed her waist belt and tightly tied it around. That somehow managed to stop the blood flow. There were windows over there on the back side of the building. He noticed those windows and broke some of them with the help of a glass rod laying there.

That's a good one', she smiled at him and flinched.

They heard the sound of rushing cars and they knew the Force is here. He jumped inside the building first and kicked some of the furniture and came out of the same way without leaving any backward direction foot prints. He was injured too and there were some blood drops fell on the floor. he came out of the window and pulled her up.

They heard footsteps nearing.

hands up'!!

Both of them heard the loud voice and could imagine the raised gun down their head.

'I thought you trusted me' .. He sighed.

'freeze your cheese honey, I did what I was ordered to. Now cooperate with us or let the DOD roast you like hot chicken, choice is yours Arjun'!!

'I thought I 'd work on my own '!

'No you cant. They will always track you down dear', she smiled extra widely.

Okay so that was the update. Action has just started! There is a lot more actions ahead.
