Arakshi OS: Hatred...

"Or maybe you scared her away!" Rathore said back, when suddenly his phone started to ring.

"Jai Hind sir, what can we do for you?" Rathore asked and listened to the Commissioner speaking.

"Ok, we'll all wait for you!" and Rathore cut the call.

"Team, it seems the Commissioner needs us urgently. He'll soon be coming here, there's something important for us!" Rathore said to everyone. They all waited in the conference room till after some time the Commissioner came. Everyone stood and saluted him.

"Rathore we have a serious problem! I hid something from all you people!" the Commissioner said.

"Please be seated everyone, for what i have to tell you is very important!" the Commissioner said and himself took a seat.

"Miss Sakshi Anand is the daughter of the previous Commissioner! I'm sure you all remember what happened with him!" the Commissioner started and saw the shocked looks of everyone, including Arjun.

Some years ago

There was a very sensitive case on a rape case, where the rapist was the son of a very influent person, at that time being a Minister. That girl had tried her best to bring that rapist to justice, but after some time, due to no one helping her in it, and soon her whole family also had been bought by the Minister's people to save his son. Still that girl hadn't lost hope, she continued her fight against that rapist, and when she was almost close to winning, she was suddenly killed. Unfortunately that crime was witnessed by the Commissioner himself and his family. The Minister had tried to scare and even buy the Commissioner, but the Commissioner hadn't stood down. and one day just before the final hearing of that case, the whole family of the Commissioner and himself had been in an accident and everyone had been claimed dead in that accident, the Commissioner, her wife and their only daughter aged of 15 years at that time. The Minister was also linked with the underworld mafia, and since then he and his son had literally disappeared.

Back in the present

"The last Commissioner never died, he's right now still in Coma. He's being kept in a very secure place, where very few people know about. And his daughter Sakshi Anand is also alive. Only his wife had died that day! Since them i had adopted Sakshi as my daughter so that no one knows about her! It was the only way i could keep her safe from everyone eyes. I sent her to study outside, and she worked there for some time being, when she decided to return back to take care of her father," the Commissioner said. He could see that he had even shocked the ETF more by saying that Sakshi was her adopted daughter.

"When she came back, she refused to stay with me, stating she wanted to be independent. I tried to stop her saying that these people are still after her, but nothing. She said she had enough of running and hiding now. Besides no one would even remember she used to say! She used to call me everyday, but yesterday she didnt call me neither she did today!" the Commissioner added.

"Didnt she have any security?" Rathore asked.

"Nope, she refused all security since she came back! She claimed that it has been years now, and no one knew her," the Commissioner said, "But now i guess i may have made a big mistake for not giving her any body guards. But that was why i brought her to work with you people. I knew that during the day, she'd be safe with you people!"

Arjun was getting shock upon shock. He remembered each and every word he had ever uttered to Sakshi, about life and pain. And how he had insulted her the last time. And right now Sakshi may be in deep danger, and he didnt know what to do.

"Shree can you check anything on her phone?" Arjun said shocking everyone by his concern for Sakshi.

"I tried calling her, but her phone is unreachable," Shree said worried.

"Then try again? and maybe we can reach her now?" Arjun said sternly.

"Dont worry Sir, we'd find her back. She's also a member of this team, and we wont anything happen to her!" Rathore reassured the Commissioner.

"Sir, her mobile is ringing but no one is picking up!" Shree said.

"Can you trace her whereabouts?" Arjun said.

After some time, they all left to go to the place Shree had localised Sakshi's mobile. They stopped their car infront some slums, and taking their guns in their hands they walked till they were standing infront of a slum as per the exact coordinates of Shree. Arjun took out his phone and called Sakshi, and they all could hear Sakshi's ringing tone from inside it. They all entered the slum and pointed the guns at the people inside, namely a woman and a boy.

Arjun put his gun away, and went to grab the boy by his arms saying, "Where did you get this mobile? And where is the girl?"

The boy looked very scared at the anger in the eyes of this strange man looking at him. he stammered not knowing what to say, "Dekho saheb, muhje nahin pata ki aap kya keh rahe ho!"

"Acha? To yeh batao ki yeh mobile yahan kaise aye? Kya tumne ousse maraa and marne ke liye chod diya!" Arjun barked at him.

"Dekho saheb, mera beta aisa nahin hein. Chodiye ousse!" the woman was saying.

"Mujhe apne sawal phir se poochne ke liye majboor mat karo! Tumhe mera woh roop pasand ayega!" Arjun barked while still grabbing him.

"Sir, yeh raha Sakshi ka mobile," Shree said bringing Sakshi's mobile.

"Phir keh raha hoon? Sach bolo, ya phir mujhse boora koi nahin hoga!" Arjun said very angry now.

"Nahin saheb," the boy said very scared now, "Mujhe kuch matt kijiye. Maine kuch nahin kiya. Mujhe yeh rastein mein milla tha!" and proceeded to tell everyone what he saw.

Two nights ago

Raju was returning home from work at a construction place, when he saw some people dragging a lady away. The lady was struggling a lot, when suddenly they all heard a gun shot. Someone had just killed the driver of the taxi, and even the lady was too scared and shocked to fight back. One man snatched her bag and threw it the river which was only a few metres from there and they took the lady away. All the while Raju was hiding behind some cars. He was afraid that if these men saw them, they'd kill him also.

Back to present

"Saheb, mujhe iss se zyada pata nahin! Meine ouske bag ko dhoond liya aur apne ghar le aaya. Kuch paisa tha ousmein," the boy was saying.

"Tumne police ko kyun nahin kahan?" Arjun asked.

"Kyun mujhe in sab cheezon mein nahin parna hein! Police and all? Sirf mein aur mera amna hein iss duniya mein. Agar mujhe kuch hogaya to!" the boy said.

Arjun released him, and Aisha came forward saying, "Was the lady this girl?" showing Sakshi's pictures on the mobile.

"Hein yeh wohi tha!" the boy said.

"Dekho humein tumhare madad ki zaroorat hein. Tumhein kuch yaad hein ki woh log kaun the? Aur kuch aur information tumhare pass nahin hein!" Aisha asked gently, seeing that the boy was already very scared.

"Mein to bata dooga, but mera naam ismein nahin ana chahiye!" the boy said.

"Tumhein kuch nahin hoga!" Rathore assured him. They needed everything they could get on Sakshi. Already it was two days she has been missing.

"Ousse gari ka number mujhe yaad hein," the boy said and gave it to Shree.

The whole team left the slum, at least they had some information about Sakshi.

"Shree, try to find out anything about that car!" Arjun said. And they all returned to their office.

After a few hours, they had localised the car and it's owner already. The car had last been spotted in an abandoned warehouse. They all got ready with their bullet proofs jacket and their guns and went to save their friend. They all prayed that Sakshi was still there, and still alive too.

In the warehouse

"Sir, it's been two days. We have been constantly torturing her but she's not even willing to say anything! She kept on saying she doesn know anything." one man was saying.

"But she must know where her father is! She's only lying! These are the only two witnesses alive to testify against us! We cant killed her without knowing about her father!" the other man was saying.

"But Sir, she's already a lot weak now, and yet no matter how much we beat her, she's not willing to say anything more! What do we do know?" the man asked.

"I'll talk with the Chief and ask him," the other man said, took his mobile and phone the Chief, and explained him about Sakshi's silence. After some time, he cut the call and turned to face all his men.

"The Chief said that if she's not saying anything. Then maybe she doesn't know anything. And thus we can dispose of her, we no longer need her anymore!" he said.

"You people can do whatever you want with her, and do dispose of her body very cautiously once she's dead. We dont want anything pointing to us," he said and left from there.

Two nights ago

Sakshi was disturbed when she got out, and waited for a taxi. Hopefully she didnt have to wait for too long, and soon she was seated in the taxi on her way home. From then everything happened extremely quickly, that she didnt know what to do. The taxi was stopped, some men opened the taxi's door, and they started to drag her away. She tried to save and struggle, but they were too much in numbers, and when she heard the gun shot, she was too shocked to even react. She turned to see the taxi driver dead, and then those men dragged her away, putting her in a van. And then she fainted not remembering anything. When she opened up her eyes, she found herself tied on a chair, in a warehouse. Both her hands and feet were tied, and even her mouth was gagged, she couldn't even say anything. After some time, two men came next to her, and once they started asking her about her father, she knew that she couldn't tell them anything. So for two days she bore their torture, slaps and punches, but she didnt say anything. She even fainted a few times out of pain, but even then those men didnt have pity on her, they kept trying to make her tell her father's location.

Back to present

Sakshi opened up her eyes, she had again fainted. She felt so weak and completely bruised. She knew that no longer would save her, and that these men would hardly release her alive from her, so she knew that it was already decided that she would be dead soon. She had long decided that even at the cost of her death, she wouldn't tell anyone about her father's address. She wouldn't let anyone hurt her father. She was alone in the room, when suddenly two men came inside. From their looks they knew that something was wrong. They didnt appear to want to torture her anymore, on the contrary they were leeching at her.

She felt sick to her soul. It didn't take much long to figure out what they were going to do. She was completely innocent, but before this ordeal was over, she knew she never would be again. She felt a wave of grief wash over her. Suddenly she wondered dimly what Arjun would say when he knew she was missing. He'd probably feel well rid of her. He must probably be very happy that she had left him in peace. "Why Arjun, you are the super cop? Why cant you save me? Why didnt you realise that i need your help" she said to herself as she saw the men coming neared to her with an evil smiles on their face.

She closed her eyes, as if to make these men's faces disappear from her sight, but she could feel free at all. She opened her tired eyes and saw the two men, gathered around her like a pack of dogs with a helpless cat. One of them started stripping her while the other watched. Sakshi closed her eyes, shivering with fear, and prayed for strength to bear what was coming.

Desperate for some way to endure the ordeal, to block it out, Sakshi pictured the last time she'd been happy with her family, with her mother and father, before everything in her world crumbled down. Everyone she'd ever loved had left her, in one way or the other. Nobody would even miss her. Maybe Shree, Aisha and Chotu would miss her for sometime.

There was a loud, harsh shout. She heard the door open, and the men leave. It wasn't going to be a long reprieve, she knew. If only she could free herself! But the bonds were cutting into her wrists and ankles. Hopefully she still had her kurta on her, the other man had only started to cut her kurta, when they had heard the shout. She felt tears sting her eyes as she sat there, vulnerable and sick and ashamed. Any minute now, those men would be back, and god only knows what would happen to her.

One of the men came back inside for a minute, staring at her. He pulled out a wicked looking little knife and flicked it at one shoulder of her kurta, cutting right through it, and as if wanting to torture her more easing the point of the knife against the soft, delicate upper part of her shoulder.

Sakshi cursed at him, trying to free herself, but the man seemed to like her struggles and slapped her hard.

He went back and locked the door. "We don't need to be disturbed, do we?" he said with joy as he walked back toward her, brandishing the sharp knife.

There was a commotion downstairs and a commotion outside. She'd hoped it might divert the man standing over her with that knife, but he was too intent on her vulnerable state to care what was going on elsewhere. He put one hand on the back of the chair, beside her head, and placed the point of the knife right against the other part of her kurta.

Her terrified eyes met his and she knew that he was going to violate her. It was in his face. She was cold all over, sick, resigned. She would die, eventually. But in the meantime, she was going to suffer a fate that would make death welcome.

There was a sudden burst of gunfire from somewhere toward the front of the house. Simultaneously, there was shattering glass behind the man threatening her, and the sudden audible sound of bullets hitting flesh. The man with the knife groaned once and fell into a silent, heap at her feet, and the only lighting bulb had exploded, filling the room in complete darkness.

Wide-eyed, terrified, shaking, Sakshi cried out as she looked up into a face completely in the shadow approaching her. He was dressed all in black with his gun in one hand and a huge knife suddenly in the other. His eyes went to her seated there and her cut clothes. He made a rough sound and kicked the man on the floor aside as he pulled Sakshi up out of the chair and cut the bonds at her ankles and wrists.

Her hands and feet were asleep. She almost fell. Without a word, he bent and lifted her over his shoulder in the classic fireman's carry, and walked straight toward the window. Apparently, he was going out it, with her. She wanted to shout, when she closed her eyes and noticed that there was a familiar smell about the man who was carrying her. "Arjun" her mind said, "Arjun you came," she said in a weak voice and this time fainted again, but with a smile because she knew she'd be safe. There wasn't anyone who could ever touch her now.

The next time she opened up her eyes, she found the whole ETF team sleeping in chairs next to her bed. She looked around her and finally found Arjun also in her room, staring outside and completely lost in his thoughts. When she tried to get up, everywhere in her body was hurting, and she couldn't stop herself from groaning in pain. Immediately Arjun rushed to her, and held her body and made her sit on the bed, putting a pillow behind her.

"Are you fine? Do you need anything?" Arjun said in a very caring voice.

"Thank you," Sakshi said, she didnt say anything else, but stared at Arjun with tears in her eyes.

"Nahin, i'm sorry. You wont ever have any problem from me as from now on," Arjun said, and almost forced himself in giving her a smile and went away.

She stared at her retreating body, and thought, "He'll never change. But atleast he no longer hates me," She was again feeling a sudden happiness being in this room. How wrong she was? She had never been alone. Aisha, Shree and Chotu were her family now. Rathore Sir like a big brother, and well Arjun was almost behaving civilly. She again closed her eyes, this time not due to weakness, but due to sleep claiming her after a very long time.
