"Arjun and Shree brothers and how Shree handles Arjun after Roshni's death"

It's mainly from Shree's point of view. So yeah, padho!
and hail i-pod, for you have helped me penning it down between the meetings and right under the nose of my fat boss! 🤪
and happy mothers day 😆

"Life has to end,' she said. 'Love doesn't."
"Kaka, bhai ne phirse khana nehi khaya?"
"Nehi Shree baba." Kaka replied, giving a sad look at Shree. Shree sighed and took the plate. Kaka took his laptop bag as he made his way to his elder brother's room.
'Bhai?" Shree called out, knocking on the door. Getting no response like always, he turned the doorknob and entered into the dark room. Switching on the lights, he found his brother crawled on a corner of the room with a picture frame in his hand which had a picture of her.
Roshni Bhabhi.
Or his bhabhimaa as he'd like to call her.
Maa, yes, that's what she was.
The day shree was born, his mother died, leaving him with his elder brother and father. Father, he'd snare; got married within 3 months, hoping his newly wedded would take care of the newborn and Arjun. But he was wrong.
An ecstatic 6 years old took on the role of a mother and father all together. With the help of kaka, Arjun raised his baby brother alone and they moved away, far away from their father and his wife when Arjun was 19.
And they were happy in their own little world.
Then came Roshni.. like a flick, she fitted in right away, filling up the gap they had. Shree was on cloud nine the day she had officially came to this house.. as his bhabi and maa.
The mother he had yearned for but never voiced out loud as it'd sadden his brother. Little did he know, his brother could see right through him but couldn't do anything about it. Sometimes life mocks you right on your face and you stay still, not knowing what to do.
Arjun could see the gleam on Shree's face when Roshni came into this house permanently. Finally giving his baby brother what he earned for, he felt at peace and bliss.
But destiny was cruel. So cruel.
And she was snatched away..just like that! Leaving Shree motherless once again.
And Arjun? He had become lifeless.
Shree sat down on the floor, balancing the plate; next to Arjun who refused to acknowledge his presence. His eyes were locked on her face; and shree felt a lump on his throat.
Shree could see her roaming around the house, laughing n teasing him..sometimes chasing him when he had pulled a prank on her or Arjun. Her giggle when they had plotted something against Arjun and that winning smile when Arjun did fall prey to their plan.
That loving pat on the back or the cold to be careful, Shree missed it all.
No one is ever prepared to lose their dear ones and when it happens, you find so much you wished you'd said or done when they were here with you, just as Shree was today.
Maybe if they had listened to her not to pursue the sikander case, she'd be still here, talking to him, leasing him with Liza and pulling Arjun's leg.
He would give anything for a couple of moments with her again... to see her smile... to hear her voice... to hug her and know once again the feeling of a mother's love.
There will always be a part of you that misses her. You'll see something that reminds you of her and want to tell her about it, only to realize she's not there anymore. Then you'll feel her loss all over again.
It is easy to feel the hurt and the pain when the wound of a lost loved one is fresh. But as time starts to heal all wounds, the healing process begins and you forget the pain that was just here..but never the person.
If something touches the scar that was left behind, it is easy for that wound to be reopened again.
And he didn't want Arjun to do it to himself again and again. But he was helpless too.
He lost a caring friend and mother but Arjun, he had lost his love, life-partner and soulmate.
But Shree knew, Roshni would never like Arjun in this state. She must be hurting wherever she was and scolding Shree for not taking care of him.
But what he could do? He had tried everything in past few days. Arjun hardly responded, didn't eat, and didn't sleep just wishing to die. But he was bound by her promise and couldn't take him life like he wanted to.
Shree had tried talking to him, being funny, talk about work or get him to work but nothing made Arjun respond.
"Bhai, khana khalo" finally finding his voice back, Shree rather pleaded. No response.
Leaving the plate on the ground, Shree looked at her picture and said, "Remember how you raised me? Kaise maine aapke ungli pakar k chalna sikha.. jab bhi girr jaata ttha, aap jhattse utha lete tthe. Phir jab chot lagne ki darr se maine cycle nehi chalana chaha toh apne kaise mera samjhe ya samjhau kiya tha?" Shree chuckled amidst the tears that threatened to fall.
"Jab maa-papa ki kami mehsoos hui, you were there bhai. And you gave me my mother back. Roshni bhabi sirf mere bhabhi hi nehi, meri maa bhi tthi. Aur aaj phirse main anath ho gayi."
Sensing no response from Arjun, Shree stood up and walked towards the door and stopped. "Aap humesha se mere dad tthe and now I need my dad more than ever. I need you bhai, your baccha needs you." Shree croaked, and then left.
Arjun stared at his retreating back as the tears he'd summed up inside him had made their way out; Arjun wiped them away. Roshni would never forgive him seeing her favorite baccha dealing with all this alone.. and neither would he.
He needed to revive, for his baby brother needed him.
And for he needed to bring justice to her.
