Chapter 4- New beginning

It had been a month since Arjun had joined and no wonder his skills were a bonus to the ETF. Sameer had found an efficient second in command who was an added bonus to the team .His rapport with everyone was a source of comfort and surprise for the ETF Chief

31^st Dec 2010

The ETF office was buzzing with activity; all were determined to complete all their work before evening so that they could enjoy the New Year eve's

"Wassup gang, I haven't see u all doing the paperwork so diligently ever before "Arjun asked while sipping his favorite cutting chai.

"Sir, until the work is finished the beas- I mean Rathore Sir will got give us an early day off "Shree said

Arjun raised an eyebrow at Shree but soon laughed away "Your Chief generally is not a party person but don't you worry I am sure we will celebrate the eve our style"

"Of Course, the Mighty OP had already laid plans for tonight I see"

He turned around to find Ayesha leaning on the door with a smile plastered on her pretty face

"Ahh!! And I was waiting for you my Bumblebee, and look you are in yellow too"

"Its Ayesha, for once can you can u actually call me by my name"

"Of course! My love, as you wish "to which Ayesha could just roll her eyes

"Just to remind you Mr Rawte , the last 5 cases files are pending and you might want to complete it before evening "

"You are a buzz kill, aren't you beautiful. Just to burst you bubble completed and submitted them yesterday evening, otherwise Sam would I have killed me "he murmured the last part to himself

Sameer voice broke there revere "Guys we have a new case"

"A new case, today "Shree said

"Aren't we here for solving the cases Mr. Sen, or you are here to party "Sameer added

"Beast kahin ka, Shree murmured the last part to himself

"Rathore lets discuss about the case "Arjun added in a tone which effectively ended any further conversation.

"The Desai family has organized party on this new year eve which is also an engagement party for her daughter. They have been getting threats since a month but they never paid any heed to it but yesterday someone tried to break in their house and openly threatened to hurt them to kidnap the daughter.

"So, we need to go in disguise to the party, catch the culprit and save the daughter. Isn't that so sir? Ayesha added with sarcasm dipping in her voice

"Isn't that what ETF is for, being bodyguard now" she continued

"Well, Ayesha u might just want to talk to the commissioner and get yourself transferred somewhere where you skills can be most useful .I am sure none of us would mind it "

"Well Sirr , I would love to do that but I know ETF needs me "

"I think Ms Kapoor"

"I think we all should decide that how are we going to the party "Arjun added

Arjun POV

He sat there listening to their conversation; Ayesha was obviously miffed whenever they were assigned a body guard duty. Actually the whole team was but only she raised it and that what Sameer hated. Sometimes in their job they had do things what they wouldn't want to but everyone would accept it apart from Sam Asprin

The war of words had just begun and they both had transformed themselves into Tom and Jerry yet again. It had been a month that he had started working with both of them and he didn't fail to notice the changes in his friend. The otherwise calm Sameer started to indulge in war of words that to with a lady officer .Wasn't he the one to lecture him about the way to talk with women especially during interrogation. Ayesha who actually had got under his skin and made him do things which he wouldn't have imagined that Sameer would do .There would be more to this story of Aspirin and the beast

When he thought the things were getting out of control yet again he intervened

"I think we all should decide that how are we going to the party"

END OF POV

"Sameer, so me and Ayesha are going as "Arjun said with a grin and winked at her

"Shree, you will be the one with the DJ Team, Chotu you are with the caterers and keep in mind the work and not the food "

"Arjun you need to use for photography skills and record the whole thing "

"And Me ...he took a pause and added ..me and ayesha are going as a couple"

All of them looked at him blankly not understanding what he said and there eye oscillating between Sameer who looked agitated and Arjun who was trying not to laugh

Finally breaking the silence –"So Sameer and Ayesha are going in as a couple interesting "

Ayesha just choke on the coffee – "Can't I go with Arjun instead of you Sir "

Sameer flared up at this comment –"You are told as you shall do Ayesha and then he turned towards the others "I want every one of you ready and back in office in the next two hours."

After two hours

All were ready for the party but waiting for Ayesha as they knew that Sameer was already running late.

Suddenly they heard Shree whistling and turned around to find a transformed Ayesha. The Shirts and the jeans were replaced by a dress which went until her knees and the boots were changed to the strappy heels- she was dressed to kill.

"How would know that we have a sexy seductress hidden behind the layers of clothes "

"I am flattered OP , there isn't much you know about me yet "

"So Ms Kapoor , I would really like you to know better , if you permit"

"Sorry for the interruption but Arjun you need to leave now and me and Ayesha will join you there .We are leaving 30 minutes after you " Sameer came up suddenly

"Bye My lady, enjoy the time with the beast "He whispered the last one to her

The silence between them was uncomfortable; they were better off fighting with each other but now posing as a couple it was a disaster. Finally when it was the time she went to fix herself .She was just checking herself the last time when Sameer broke in the door clearly agitated

"Damnit Ayesha, We have to leave "

"I know Sirr I was just checking –

"Just checking what Ayesha"

"I was giving the final touch to my makeup and then looking if the dress is fine "

Sameer was at a loss of words and was heading back when he saw Ayesha checking her side profile in the mirror"

"Ayesha , I would recommend cut on carbs and in another 10 seconds I want you in the car "

Damnit, did the beast just called me fat "

aww Sam dat ws so mean u called her fat😲😆 but love the nok joks b/w Beast and Aspirin😉
