The next morning came pretty fast or maybe it was his over-enthusiasm. For some reason, Arjun couldn't wait till he walks into the ETF headquarters. Which was two days away. But he decided to pay a visit sooner.

For he had some old friends to catch up with.

Having some fresh blood for lunch, he got into his service SUV which was delivered to his door last night. Last night.. hmm. Eerie. Even for a hardarse vampire like him.

Come on, whether you are a supernatural or a mere human, it's creepy to bleed and then not bleed the moment later.

To feel someones presence and then seeing nothing.

And when a dear one who is supposedly dead haunts you.

He was so sure it was her. Her voice.. even her presence. But then again, how could she be here?

She was dead and he had killed her centuries ago.
And with that, he felt a knife twisting in my dead heart.

His reverie was broken by a car blowing the daylight out of its horn at him. Arjun growled at the car behind. And as if the driver had listened to him growling, he zoomed past the SUV without causing another sound. Arjun smirked.

Arjun got into the building in his own grace.. making his way like a predator. Everyone present there stopped whatever they were doing and gawked at the model like greek God while he took his avatars off and flipped them somewhere inside his skyblue shirt.

"Damn.. he could put Adonis to shame." He read a woman's thought as he passed her. He smirked, once again.

Arjun breathed in those delirious emotions.. amusement, envy from men and desire, arousal from the females. Arjun rolled his eyes. Humans.

But than a really tall for a human man crossed his path and stopped him. Arjun took his aura. Strong and human.

"Just where do you think you're barging in mister?" the man asked in a curt tone.

Arjun shot a glare at him and as expected, the man stepped back. But before Arjun could yell him to half death, he heard another voice.

"Iss aadmi ka naam ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte hai. And yeh aaj se mere chief in command hai." ACP Sameer Damsingh Rathore said through gritted teeth as if he was spitting venom.

"Rathod." Arjun smirked. Rathod glared at him but then said in a brisk tone. "Rawte."

One look at them and anyone could swear something was definitely wrong between them. Chotu stepped away and stood besides Shree who for once looked alarmed, staring at the newcomer, ACP Arjun.

Aisha was the same. She had her guard up and glaring the daylight out of the new man.

Why? Chotu didn't know. So, he stared at them in confusion.

After what felt like an entire eternity, Rathore broke his eye contact with the newcomer and ordered everyone to get back to work. Chotu hurried back in with the others. Getting their hothead chief pissed off was never a good idea. He was a menace.

Chotu looked over his shoulder and watched the two ACPs walking in similar menace and predator style. Oh boy! One was hard to handle and now there are two? Aiko deva.

As they settled in their discussion room. Arjun took a look at every morning and he wasn't surprised to find many of his own species there.

"I don't think I need to introduce you. Do I?" Rathore sarcastically said. To which Arjun grinned. "Well, it'd be rude not to. Don't you think?"

Rathore glared at him. Ayesha being the peaceful one, butted in and introduced herself in a low voice without even looking at him. "Inspector Ayesha Kapoor. Under cover specialist."

Of course, under cover would be a piece of cake for her. Ayesha wasn't a "bloodsucker" like him but she had the power of manipulating human minds and change forms. No wonder how she survived all these centuries.

Arjun offered his hand which she hesitantly took, glancing at Rathore. As soon they shook hands, Arjun heard a growl coming from Rathore who was now standing, ready to strike.

And it didn't take a moment more for him to understand that Ayesha was Rathore's mate.. and no bonded vampire male would ever allow another male to even touch their female till they breath.

Arjun hurriedly took his hand back and saw Ayesha nodding in assurance at Rathore which seemed to calm him. His bonding scent slowly drifting, but not before leaving a warning in neon color which clearly read "All copyrighted to me. Stay the hell away from her."

Bonded males were dangerous when it came to their females and Sameer Rathore? He was one of the very few people Arjun or anyone else would even dare to get enmity with.

Sameer Rathore was no ordinary man. He was probably the only pure breed who didn't have a single human blood in his vein. Born as a vampire, he was one of the originals.

Anyone would be a fool to take him up for a challenge. He was gentle yet was fierce when needed.

Arjun almost smiled at his friend. Friend? Yeah, that might be the case centuries ago but now, Rathore hated Arjun to his gut.

Arjun knew really well, if Rathore wasn't bound by her promise, he would have killed Arjun years ago. Rathore hated him that much.

Ah well, Arjun hated himself too.

Breaking the silence, Shree spoke up. Arjun turned to Shree. Hmmm, newly turned vampire. And a gadget freak.

Next was ETF's black-ops specialist Chandrakant Patel, the one who had stopped him on his way. Chotu, as he introduced himself. His name was an irony itself. Human but in a size of a custom made Hulk.

Quite a strong team Rathod had, Arjun mused.

And challenged against such a lethal power, Sameer had to pull up his socks! Leaving him with no choice other than bringing Arjun to the team.. cause frankly, he was as lethal as the evil was. Which practically made Sameer cringe with disgust.

Shree broke the silence, pressing the wrong button of the metal detector he had invented; nudging Rathod and others out of their reverie. Arjun shot a glare at Shree who stammered and shut it off immediately.

"So, I'm guessing that room over there is my cabin?" Arjun casually asked, Rathod nodded before retiring to his own cabin. Ayesha noticed and went after him.

Sighing Arjun walked to his new cabin, leaving the duo scarred for their dear lives.

"He's scary as hell." Chotu whispered to Shree, leaving a deep breath out. "You don't say! Take my advice, and stay the hell away from him." Shree said warily.

Scaring them again, Arjun emerged. Duo stood up, immediately but Arjun didn't even glance at them but walked out hurriedly.

"Pheew!" Chotu rubbed the sweat away from his forhead.

By the time Arjun got to the place, the sun had set. He got off from his car and walked into the college fair. He fished his phone out and stared at the MMS.

It was her. Undoubtedly her.

He played the video.again and again.

Her smile.. then the pout and then her eyes.

He rushed through the crowd , searching for the stall she was infront of. Someone, he didn't knew who, naming thyself a wellwisher sent him a MMS which shocked him out of his wits.

With her address, the well wisher asked him to save her and stop history from repeating itself.

And he didn't wait. He couldn't wait.

He cut through the crowd, pushing people out of his way and finally found the stall, desperately looking for her. And she was nowhere to be seen.

Of course. It was hours he had gotten the MMS. Who on their right mind would stay in the same stall for hours? Arjun's mind mocked, finally working.

And then it could be a conspiracy too. Bringing you here and maybe killing you? His mind asked.

Sure.. in the middle of a crowded fair. Arjun shut him off! And besides, this is her. He had felt her the other day too, didn't he?

Now he had to find her.

And as if God had grant his wish, he heard her voice. Arjun turned and saw her walking towards him.

That grace. That innocence. That smile.

Alive and infront of him.

He took a deep breath when he heard her speak. Calling out to him.

"Hi" she called out, smiling.

Arjun closed his eyes momentarily to let her voice claim him completely. Her sweet melodic voice ran through his spine, relaxing him. He opened his eyes as he felt her getting close.

She walked, getting close.. and closer.

Got a look in your eye,

got me burnin inside.

And if you were to leave it would eat me alive.

But now I say, there you are.

There you are

As Arjun breathed in her scent, her aura.. he read her mind. She was happy..amused.

And so human.

Arjun looked at her face, confused. How could this be possible?

But then she passed him and went to a guy who was standing right behind him. She draped her slender arms around that man's neck as he claimed her lips.

A tremor messed up his whole nerve system and Arjun growled.

Mine.

Everything within him was screaming as he shot draggers at that man who had his arms around her, taking her away from him.

Mine.

And he went after them.

There was no one in heaven or earth who could stop him now. He couldn't and would not let her go this time.
