CHAPTER 37:

The ETf team was working day in and out. Their position was not known to others thought they were searching for them. the team was collecting all the evidences, tracking phones and so on and after a lot of effort they came to know that Pattan had 3 ships which he used to export girls in the pretence of some items. Though there were security checkings and all that, he had perfect plan to fool any one. The ships ... Dilnaz, Rubiyath and Florence were known among his type of men that no one ever dared to stop them.

Pattan was so frustrated as he had lost 2 of his comrades- Sikander and Martin all because of the ETF. He kept his best men to trace them out, but where unsuccessful. He was so angry, that he killed anyone who brought the bad news. His men where so worried that they were constantly on the search.

Pattan knew this ETF well. He knew each of the members were so so strong that to use the usual divide and rule policy is out of question. The only way for him was to lure out them and split them, so that they where easy to handle. And thus he made a plan.

He wanted Arjun so badly now. He could go to any extreme for him. Arjun was the man because of whom he lost his one leg and the other was as good as gone. He wanted his revenge on everything including the loss of his best 2 men.

Pattan planted a bomb in a children's park. Though it went off in not so rush hour, there were minimum casualities. But the terror it brought was upto his expectation. And he did something that he had never done before. He made sure that the Mumbai intelligence got the hint that it was done by him. And it worked.

The commissioner contacted the ETF team through a secured channel the next morning,

Com: Team!! Whats going on in Goa? You were in a mission to stop Pattan then how is this possible?

Rathod: whats the matter sir? I know yaha pe ek bomb blast hua hai. but don't worry sir, we will get the person behind it. I promise.

Com: that means you still don't know who did it!! team its by Pattan Laala.

Arjun: ye aap kya keh rahe sir?? Pattan aur bomb blast?? That's not his usual region of attack. It's a mistake.

Com: nahi Rawte! Our intelligence report says its done by him. And this is not the last one.

Arjun: aap kehna kya chahthe hai sir? Sir, Pattan is not new to this field. Agar wo inn sab ke peeche hai then he knows how to keep quite. Ye ek trap ho sakthe hai. just to distract us. He knows that we are close to get him.so it's a trap.

Com: I don't know Arjun. but the only information we have received from a reliable source is that Pattan is behind this. Aur ha, as I said this is not the last one. We also got a clue, an encrypted meassage which our team is trying to decode. Sreekant, I am sending now to you. Intercept it fast. If this is just a distraction then well and good. Else if it is something else... I don't want another blast in Goa. Rathod I hope you wont disappoint me. Over and out.

The line went dead. Shree received a message. It had some numbers, some symbols. On the whole it was absurd. The whole team was gathered around it.

Rathod: so Team, what have we dicided? Should we check this one?

Aisha: sir, I think Arjun Sir is right. This maybe a trap.

Rathod: mujhe bhi aise hi lag rahe hai. but its not the time to guess. Agar yaha pe kuch hua, we will be responsible. So I think we should check it.

Arjun: Rathod, no. this is what he wants. That we split up. We should be together now.

Riya: aur agar kuch hogaya tho??

Rathod: Riya is right Rawte. Ab jab information mila hi hai we should check it.

Shree: Sir... ek call track horaha hai.

It was one among the best men of Laala.

Man 1: tho maal aaj hi nikal rahe hai na?

Man 2: ha. Par saab aaj kyu? Maal do din baath nikalna tha na?

Man 1: jithna kaha uthna karo. Kal sabere se pehle ship nikalna chahiye.

Call ends. All looks each other.

Arjun: I am sure this is a trap Rathod believe me. First of all Pattan always makes sure his movements are secret. Next they never shift the schedule by 2-3 days.

Rathod: maana ke ye Pattan ke aadat nahi hai. but we cant ignore it. so lets split up. I am sure tum Pattan ke piche jaana chahthe ho Rawte. So you and Aisha will go together. Riya, Chotu and me will go together to the blast area for clues. Shree try to crack the puzzle from here ASAP.

Arjun: but why is Aisha with me?

Rathod: behas karne ka time nahi hai Rawte. Tum docks ke tharaf ja rahe ho. And she knows Goa well. You will need her.

Arjun: aur agar ye message intercept hogaya tho, you will need her more to locate the postion.

Rathod: its ok. Par Aisha tumhare saath hi ayega. And that's final.

Arjun accepted his words as he had no other option. He looked into the message. It was a mess. Rathod could see his discomfort. "Rawte come with me" he moved to another room. Arjun followed him.

Rathod: I know tumhe bohot ajeeb lag rahe hai. even I too feel this is a trap. But I don't have another option. So try to understand.

Arjun: I know. Its just...

Rathod: I can understand. I'm sure it will be fine.

Arjun nodded and saw Riya Shree Aisha and Chotu trying to interpret the message. Rathod saw that his eyes were fixed on Riya.

Rathod: don't worry she will be fine with me. I promise.

Arjun: (a bit surprised and then calm) patha hai. wo mere zindagi hai Sameer. I cant live without her. But you also are a part of my family. So please take care. Aur ha... she will also be fine with me.

Rathod: What??

Arjun: bano math Sameer. I can see it. Aisha is a good girl. So good choice bhai...

Rathod smiled. Of course he would have noticed. After all he was ACP Arjun Rawte. He hugged Arjun warmly.

"take care Arjun... sambhalke jaana" he broke his hug. "you too Sameer"

Rathod: tum yahi ruko. I'll send her in.

He went out and nodded at Riya. She knew it. She went in and Arjun was waiting for her. He saw a different self in her eyes. He gave his hands forward and she took. She came closer and stood close to him looking onto his eyes.

Arjun: dar lagi hai kya?

Riya nodded negative. "mien kyu daru Arjun? I am sure you will be back soon. Aur hame shaadi bhi karni hai na?? God kithna kaam hai??"

He looked tenderly at her eyes. He was spell bound with her confidence in him. She cupped his face.

Riya: are you frightened Arjun?

He stood for a while. and slightly nodded yes. She was bit shocked and happy for his honesty. He gently caressed his cheeks. "Kyu??"

Arjun: patha nahi Riya. I know this is a trap.tum jaha jaane wale ho, its defenitly a trap. Aur agar waha...

Riya closed his mouth. "waha kuch nahi hoga Arjun. I promise. We will be together soon. Ab please apne tension dur karo. And give me a smile"

He looked at her eyes. There was a twinkle in it. she smiled at him to make him relax. It worked. He could feel himself relaxing. He smiled back. "now that's my Arjun..."

She hugged him and kissed his neck. He hugged her tightly. "please Riya. Apna khayal rakhna. Please.."

"sure Arjun. I'll be fine. Aur aap bhi apna aur Aisha ka khayal rakna. And please don't fight from there. Ok??"

He smiled and held her more tightly.

The plan was set. Before going, Aisha was getting ready. Someone knocked her door and she opened it.

Aisha: Rathod Sir? Aap yaha?please come in.

Rathod: so all ready?

Aisha: yes sir. All set. Kya hua? Aap thode stressed lag rah ho?

Rathod: nothing. Its just work. Aisha... actually... i came to say..,

Aisha: ha, boliye sir.

Rathod( taking a deep breath): take care Aisha. Apne aur Arjun ka bhi. Aur...

She was looking at him. He was almost suffocating.

Rathod: Aisha you are a brave girl. Ek aisa jo zindagi ke har mod pe hosle ke saath aage bhada hai. I am really proud of you. And never think you are alone in your life. Finish this work and come back. You are most welcome to our lives back in Mumbai.

Aisha was shocked. "you mean... aap mujhe ETF join karna ka invitation de raha hai?"

Rathod: ETF aur... mere zindagi mien bhi...

She was shocked more. He gave her space to capture his words. She saw a smile on the chief's face. He looked her for a while. "all the best Aisha. Come back soon" he went out and closed the door behind her.

She was frozen. She had butterflies in her stomach for the first time. no not the first time. it happened when he held her close while she fell onto him in the club during the dance. And she also felt it when he held her when she had the wound. So not the first time. but what happened today. "did he actually propose me?" She could feel herself smiling and a bit hot at her cheeks. She looked at the mirror. She was blushing. "OMG... Aisha get a grip. There is time to think. You have a case now. Control..." she closed her eyes and took deep breaths. Still there was a smile on her lips. She went out of the room to go for the mission.

Arjun and riya parted and went out together.

Rathod: ok team. Its time for action. Shree coordinate everything. I may send Riya back to you after first scanning the area. Arjun and Aisha be careful. And don't fight!! Is that clear??

Both: Yes SIR!!!

They went out in groups.

Arjun and Aisha:

They reached the docks. It was getting dark. They could see many ships in front of them.

Aisha: Pattan ladkiyonko latha kaisa hoga? Ithne security ke baad. Its tough. Right?

Arjun: its not tough for him. (he explains how he brought girls in the barrels before )

Aisha: oh God...

Arjun: Pattan is the extreme culprit when considering human trafficking. Be careful Aisha. I feel something fishy. Yaha uthne security kyu nahi hai. its something like giving us all the space we need. be careful in each step.

Rathod and team:

They scan the area well. They don't fnd much clues other than that the bomb was designed to maximize the human destruction, but by luck it was placed in not so rush hour. Riya was sent back to Shree to decode the message.

Riya: Shree, ye koi jagah ke bare mien hoga. Aur may be time. par kya?

Shree: Riya I could understand only this mush, ye kisi ek point pe locate kar raha hai. maybe its location address, ya ek ghar, ya koi gaadi. Aise kuch.

They worked on it hard. After many trial and error, Shree: "DILNAZ?? Ye Dilnaz kya hai?"

Riya had heard the name before. Suddenly she screamed. "DILNAZ??? Ye tho Pattan ka ship hai!! aur Arjun..."

He had gone to the same docks that had the ships. Shree called Rathod. "Sir... next location Pattan ka ship hai!! Dilanz. Aur Arjun Sir aur Aisha wahi gaye hai. bomb 10 30 ko explode hoga"

Rathod: contact them immediatly . tell them to come back.only 30 minute left."

Shree: un dono ke phone try kiya. I cant reach them.

Rathod: WHAT?? You both reach docks now. We will reach there. Chotu call for back up NOW!!!

They rush to the spot.

Few minutes back:

Aisha and Arjun moved into different ships looking for evidence. They were sure something was coming up. After a while they both were shocked at the sight.

Aisha: SIR!! The trap was not for them!! It was for us!!!

He looked at her. For the first time he nodded positive to her.

The Team reached the docks. They were rying hard to reach Arjun and Aisha but in vain. They reached the docks at 10 25. They started running searching for Dilanaz. They spotted it and were moving towards it, when the voice of the blast shook them. the ship exploded in front of their eyes.

"Arjun..." a whisper left Riya's lips.
