Chapter 6

Riya watched Arjun going out of the house.

"What is happening? What is wrong with me? Why do I lose myself completely when he comes close to me? Do I love him?" she again asked at herself.

She had never felt so unsure of something, and her feelings right now were very confusing. She had to run away from here, she had to stay away from him for some time. She needed some distance and some space right now. She had to know what was wrong with her, why she was so affected by Arjun's presence and why she couldn't resist him. She decided right then that there was no way she was returning back to his place. As soon as the office hours were over, she'd looked for an excuse and run away before Arjun could force her again to come back to his house. She was determined now to never return to this place again, but she won't let Arjun be aware of her plans at all.

She took a deep breath and went outside to join him in the SUV. They both went to work without muttering any words. Arjun knew that somehow he had scared Riya with his words, and he also didn't know how to undo the damage. So he kept quiet, and also he was afraid that if he started to apologise, he might make a bigger mess than it already was. And besides he wasn't lying, he wasn't going to let Riya go away from him, however he also realized that even if Riya was not indifferent to him, she still hadn't realized that she loved him, and so he needed to give her some time. But everytime he was close to her, he himself couldn't control himself, and ended up doing the wrong thing again. He promised to himself that today he won't crowd her at all, and would give her some space, but at night she was going to have to come back to stay at his home, there was no negotiating on that part. Both were firmly determined in doing what they had decided and went to work.

The day was a pretty hectic one. They had a case of gun shooting in a school, and had gone to investigate it. It had been very difficult to get any clues from the students, since all were heavily traumatized and there had been so many eye witnesses that instead of getting a good profile of the killer, they had got different descriptions about him. This has made the investigations even more difficult. However since there was CCTV installed in some parts of the school, they had been able to identify the killer. It was a biology professor, who was the killer. He had been behaving abnormally since a few days, he had lots of problem, and he apparently also owed money to people. He had completely lost his mental balance, and out of despair had tried to shoot at a few students, hopefully he missed everyone, and finally had committed suicide.

They had finally managed to find the culprit, and everyone returned home. However this time on returning Riya somehow arranged not to go in Arjun's SUV and instead went with Rathore Sir and sent Shree and Chotu with Arjun. Arjun was angry with her for that, but he could hardly do anything in front of the others.

"Sir, can I take the remaining hours off, I have some necessary form to filled and other things to do like insurance and everything after my house was burnt," Riya was telling Rathore in the SUV.

"It's ok, I understand. You can take the remaining hours off. If you need any help, you can always count on me Riya," Rathore replied to her.

"Can I get off on the next traffic light Sir, my insurance agent is quite close from there?" Riya asked.

That's how after a few minutes, she was dropped off near a traffic light. She hated lying to Rathore Sir, but she had no other choice. If she had gone to the office, then she'd have to return with Arjun to his house. And she absolutely didn't wanna go there, she was a bit terrified of being alone with Arjun now, not because she didn't trust him, but mainly because she didn't trust herself with him anymore. He evoked so many feelings in her, feelings she had never felt for anyone in her life. She was lost everytime she was with him, so she needed to figure out the WHY before anything now. She had been walking for one hour without realizing where she was going, when suddenly she found herself in front of her house. She was too disturbed to realize that someone was observing her from a car on the road, she didn't even noticed when that person got out of his car and came towards her. She only sensed his presence when he took her by her hand and made her look at him. Riya was astonished to find herself looking in the eyes of Ajay. She tried to release herself, but Ajay didn't let her go, and force her into his arms, and hugged her tightly.

On the other side, one hour earlier, everyone reached the ETF office, and Arjun was patiently waiting for Rathore and Riya to come. However he was surprised to find Rathore coming inside alone. He waited for a few minutes for Riya to come, but she didn't come. He lost patience and went to ask Rathore directly about Riya's whereabouts. Rathore told him that Riya had asked to be released a few hours earlier for some personal work. Arjun was very angry at Rathore for doing that, and almost shouted at him for that, but he controlled his anger and went away and tried to call Riya. However Riya's mobile was off. He knew that he had somehow scared Riya, but he never thought that she'd really run away from him in this way. He didn't know where he' look for her, but he decided that the first place would be at her home. So went directly there, however when he reached there, the sight he saw made his blood boil completely. He was furious on seeing Riya and Ajay hugging. He got out of his SUV and strode menacingly towards them. When he reached them, he grabbed Riya's arms and pulled her out of Ajay's arms. Riya was shocked when she saw Arjun here, and also happy because she didn't like Ajay hugging her, but Ajay hadn'd wanted to let her go.

At first Ajay was scared when he saw Arjun here, since he remembered the beatings he got in the temple, but when he saw that Arjun was looking only towards Riya with furious eyes, he decided to use this to his advantage and said, "I'm sorry Ri, for everything and your house. But I had really started to love you. You can come and live at my place whenever you want till you get a new place to live." "He knew his words have greatly affected Arjun, and that now Arjun was very jealous and angry at him. I have already done what I could, and before Arjun starts to beat me again, it's better that I just disappear", he thought to himself. He gave Riya a flying kiss and went away smilingly, leaving Riya to bear the brunt of an angry and jealous Arjun all alone.

Arjun was looking at Riya with stupor,

"Just what's wrong with you? Are you blind or anything? Is that why you don't wanna stay with me? Do you love that Ajay that much, that despite everything you wanna stay with him! I had thought you were stronger and more intelligent Riya, but maybe I was wrong!" he said angrily.

Riya's heart was completely breaking at his each and every words, and she tried to reply and justify herself, but Arjun didn't let her talk at all.

"How can you love him that much? He's not worthy of you? He's only playing with your feelings! Just what type of girl are you, at one time you come into my arms and kiss me passionately, and the next moment I find you in the arms of another man!" Arjun growled at her.

"You think that badly of me?" Riya asked calmly, knowing right then that the feelings she felt for this man were far deeper than she ever thought. She looked at his angry face, and tears started to fall, she now realized that it had always been love.

"What else am I supposed to think, you lied to Rathore, and here I find you in the arms of another man!"

He kept on with his angry words, about how she had stooped so low and how she was stupid and everything, he kept on insulting her out of pain. He didn't realize himself how harshly he was talking to her, he only knew that he wanted to hurt her as much as he had felt when he saw her in the arms of someone else.

Riya felt completely bereft of any feelings when she heard Arjun talking so badly with her, and when she couldn't take it anymore she slapped him.

Arjun was stunned by her slap, and when he looked at her face, he felt a sudden stab of guilt. Her face and her tears hurt him even more than seeing her in the arms of another man. In his anger, he never gave her the benefit of doubt, instead of asking her, he only started to bombard her with accusations and insults. Her distressed face completely calmed him, he no longer felt any anger, and he was only ashamed of himself. He may love her, but he certainly didn't have the right to judge her nor insult her.

He tried to take her in his arms to comfort her, but she moved away from him. He again moved towards her, but she again moved away from him. He took a deep sigh and started talking,

"I'm very sorry about everything. I shouldn't have insulted you, I should have trusted you. But I have been so afraid when Rathore said he left you somewhere, and I couldn't find you at all, and then I saw you in the arms of that Ajay. I never realized that I could feel so much jealousy. Yet I did, and I cant defend myself except that I think I have fallen in love with you."

He had some hope, when this time she actually raised her head and looked into his eyes. He moved closer and she wanted to move away, to stop him. . . No, she didn't. His head bent and his mouth closed on hers, brushing, lightly probing. She yielded without a protest, her arms sliding naturally around his waist, her mouth opening to the insistence of his lips. He kissed her for some time.

She made a sound, and he smiled against her lips.

"What?" He bit off the words against her lips.

"It's. . . very. . . public," she breathed.

He lifted his head and looked around. The neighborhood was dotted with lots of houses, and even if no one was on the road, they didn't know if anyone was spying on them.

Stil he stopped kissing her, but didn't release her. He gave her a kiss on her both cheeks, and drank her tears on them, as if trying to heal her from all the pain he had given her. He then gave her a kiss on her forehead, and said, "Shall we go home, my love."

She acquiesced, and both went home. Before entering the SUV, Arjun looked at Riya with all the love he felt for her visible in his eyes, but he also looked at her with a question in them.

"You wont tell me that you love me?" he asked when Riya made as if she didn't understood his silent question.

Riya had never felt so happy in her life, and well she'd make that khadoos suffer a tiny miny bit before confessing. So she only replied with a smile, "Dekhoon gi, sochoon gi'"

Precap:

"So you wont confess?" asked Arjun for the hundredth time, he already knew she loved her, but still he needed to hear the words. But Riya was just avoiding the topic and always running away from him.

He approached her, and picked her in his arms and took her to his bedroom. He gently placed her on the bed, and laid next to her, and held her tightly so that she couldn't run away.

He started kissing her near her ear, and whispered, "So my love, you wont accept?"
