CHAPTER-11

(arjun is shocked and he goes out on the balcony of his room. He sits on a chair and looks outside. He cannot imagine what had happened with him. Many questions were going through his mind this time.)

Arjun(to himself)- why did I see riya? aisa nahi ho sakta! Jaroor koi aur baat hai….mai toh sirf ek naya dost banana chahta tha………(he recalls the hug)….kahi sach me mujhe……! Nahi…..ye nahi ho sakta…mai iss case ke baad riya se door chala jaaonga……mai ek aur insaan ki zindagi barbaad nahi karr sakta….mujhe dobaara pyaar nahi ho sakta…nahi!

(arjun turns back to see riya with a cup of tea)

(arjun gets scared. he is afraid that riya might have heard him)

Arjun- riya, tum kab aayi?

Riya- bass abhi sir, aap'nahi' kise bol rahe the?

Arjun(thinks)- lagta hai isne kuch nahi suna!

Riya- kya hua sir?

Arjun- kuch nahi riya, tum yaha kyu aayi ho?

Riya- sir aapki chai….

Arjun- mujhe nahi peena….tum le jao…

Riya- but sir aap…

Arjun- maine kaha na jaao!

Riya- ok sir.

(she leaves with an upset face😒)

Arjun(to himself)- mai jo bhi soch raha hoon vo sach nahi ho sakta….mujhe riya se pyaar nahi ho sakta!nahi!! nahi nahi! (he keeps his hand on his head) mere liye roshni se pehle koi nahi aata! Mai roshni ko dhokha nahi de sakta.! Mai riya se door chala jaaonga!

(that night arjun gets ready to sleep, in his white kurta, and riya is wearing a plain blue saari and has kept her hairs open. Arjun stares at riya and thinks about all that which had happened,)

Riya- sir aap aaj bhi raat ko kaam karenge?

Arjun- mujhe achanak ek kaam yaad aa gaya….riya mujhe bahar jaana hai….vo mr atul and mr kabir ka interview lena hai aur ….aur kuch aur kaam bhi karne hain…mai bahar jaa raha hoon.

Riya- theek hai….

(arjun goes out. He finds that mr atul and mr kabir are out of station, he starts suspecting them. He goes to a nearby medical shop)

Arjun- aap mujhe bata sakte hain ki yaha se kisi ne koi zehereeli davaa lee hai ya nahi?

Shopkeeper- nahi toh! Abhi toh nahi….

Arjun- aap mr mehta ke baare me kya jaante hain?

Shopkeeper- unhe chocolate khaana bada pasand tha, vo roz ek dabba humaari baajoo vaali dukaan se mangvaate the….!

Arjun- theek hai, jiss din vo mare, uss din bhi unhone dabba mangvaya tha?

Shopkeeper- haan, uss din toh 2 dabbe mangvaaye the.!

Arjun- thankyou.

(arjun was about to leave when)

Shopkeeper- suniye sir…

Arjun- haan?

Shopkeeper- voh! Mehta je ke marne ke ek din pehle, unki servant meena aayi thi yaha, unki davaa lene.

Arjun- kaun si davaa?

Shopkeeper- vo…ek dava hai jisse blood pressure low ho jaata hai, Mehta jee ko high BP ki bimaari thi na, toh aksar vo davaa mangvate the. Lekin uss din achanak ek poori bottle mangva lee…

Arjun- shukriya.kya jyaada davaa se death ho sakti hai

shopkeeper- haan.

(arjun has sorted out the case in his mind. He has heard from people that mr atul was a very good friend of mr Mehta so it was clear that atul was not the murderer so it had to be mr kabir, people used to say that mr kabir had a mental problem so it was possible that mr kabir must have murdered mr Mehta by poisoning him through the chocolates)

(arjun was just walking on the road and his thoughts went back to riya, he was lost in his thoughts and didn't even care of the time.)

(it was 2 am and arjun had not returned. Riya was tensed. She decided to go out and search for him)

(she went out and searched for him everywhere. She reached a 'sunsaan' road. She kept shouting arjun's name but in vain. She came across a gang of boys who were drunk. Riya tried to avoid them but the boys started following her. riya wanted to fight but according to the situation she thought it was better to avoid. Her fast walking soon turned into running. The boys started chasing her and she was scared because they were 6 in number, and she never even had her gun)

Boys- ruk bhi jaao abb….kitna bhaagogi beautiful!!!!

(riya was tired and now it was even more difficult for her to fight. She banged into someone. She fell down on his feet)

Riya(panting)- mai aur nahi bhaag sakti.

(the person picks her up and it was none other than arjun)

Riya- sir aap?

(arjun is holding riya by her shoulders. He sees the gang of boys behind her and he gets angry….very angry….he pulls riya to his back and riya grabs his shoulders from the back)

Boys- ye lo! Aa gaya film ka hero! Ha ha ha ha ha ha😆

(this made arjun even more angry😡)

Arjun- riya tum yahi raho…mai abhi aata hoon.!

(arjun goes to the boys)

(he grabs the collar of one of them who was speaking the most)

Arjun- teri himmat kaise hui!!!!??? Haan????

Boy- oye! Mai toh darr gaya!😆

(all laugh)

(arjun gives him a punch and he falls down and nearly faints, the other boys are shaking with fear now)

Arjun- aur kisi ko film dekhni hai? nahi dekhni toh bhaag jaao yaha se! aur apne iss apahij(handicapped) dost ko bhi le jaana! Samjhe ya samjhaaon?

(all of them run far away leaving riya and arjun alone)

Arjun- tum bhi na riya, mai tumhe iss liye nahi daantunga ki tum raat ko akele sadak pe nikal gayi balki iss liye daantunga ki tumne unn sab se fight kyu nahi kiya? Tum ETF ki officer ho riya!(getting louder and scolding) tum ETF me kya rishvat deke aayi thi???

(riya can't speak, she is shocked to hear these words from some1 whom she loves so much)

Arjun(cooling down)- sorry riya! mai kuch jyaada hi bol gaya! Sorry!

Riya- its ok sir.

Arjun- tum yaha kyu aayi?

riya- sir…aap itni der se bahar the, mujhe chinta ho rahi thi.

Arjun- tumhe usse kya riya? mai apna kaam karr raha hoon bass!

Riya- sir mai jaanti hoon, but aapne khaana bhi nahi khaaya hai abhi tak…

Arjun- tumhe meri chinta karne ki jaroorat nahi hai riya!

Riya- kyu sir? Mai kiski chinta karoo aur kiski nahi isse aapko kya?

Arjun- maine kaha na! door raho mujhse!

Riya- ajeeb baat hai…..abhi kal tak toh aap bilkul theek the….abb kya hua aapko?

Arjun- kuch nahi hua riya!

Riya- kuch hua hai sir…bataiye mujhe!

(riya goes close to arjun)

(arjun gets angry, he goes close to her and pulls her towards him by her shoulders. He goes very close to her)

Arjun- mere itne kareeb matt aao riya kit tum khud se door ho jaao! Tum barbaad ho jaaogi..!

(riya had tears in her eyes. She couldn't understand what her fault was. )

Riya- (pushing arjun away)- aap kya kehna chahte hain sir? Mai aapki dost hoon na?

Arjun- dosti ko sirf dosti tak hi rehne do riya….varna ye dosti bhi nahi rahegi!

Riya- aapko kya hua hai sir! Maine aisa kya keh diya ki aapko ye lagne laga ki maine apni dosti ki hadd paar ki hai!?

Arjun- ghar chalo riya.

(arjun is abt to leave when riya grabs his arm)

Riya- I want my answer sir…..

Arjun- mujhse argue karna ka koi faayda nahi hai..! ghar chalo.

Riya- nahi sir. Baat aapne shuru ki thi….aapko javaab dena hoga! Aapko kya problem hai mujhse?

Arjun- koi problem nahi hai..abb ghar chale.!?

Riya- bohot ho gaya sir….!!! I want the answer now!

Arjun(holding her by her arm)- theek hai toh suno! Tum mere itna kareeb matt aaya karo….hamesha meri parvah matt kiya karo! Tumhaari aankho me jo mujhe mere liye dikhta hai, vo sahi nahi hai!

Riya(with tears in her eyes)- kya sir? Kya dikhta hai aapko?

(arjun is silent)

Riya-kahiye na sir, kya dikhta hai apko meri aankho me?

(arjun is shocked he just stares at riya with red eyes)

Arjun- kuch nahi! Chalo yaha se!

(arjun turns his back to riya and strts to leave)

Riya- pyaar!(with tears)

(arjun turns back in shock)

Riya- yahi dikhta hai na sir? Pyaar dikhta hai na meri aankho me?

(arjun is shocked)
