CHAPTER-12

Part-1

Riya- boliye na sir….pyaar dikhta hai na aapko?? Boliye!!!😭

(arjun looks away)

Riya- sir, aapki aadat hai na, ki aap harr criminal se uska crime kabool karva lete hain! Toh ye leejiye aapne mujhse bhi apna crime kabool karva liya…..haan mai aapse pyaar karti hoon sir….i hv committed the crime. Abb sazaa kya denge mujhe?

Arjun-(in anger) tum kya bakwaas karr rahi ho riya?

Riya- aap bhi toh kuch der pehle mujhe yahi samjha rahe the na sir, ki mujhe aapse pyaar nahi karna chahiye, yaani aap jaante hain ki mai aapse pyaar karti hoon. Isiliye mujhse naraaz hain! Hai na?😭

(arjun is confused, he himself is not able to understand when did he realize that riya loves him. He couldn't understand why he said those things to riya and what problem is he having! Is he having the problem that riya loves him or that he loves riya? or both? He was highly confused and then he thought of roshni….how could he cheat her?)

Arjun- tum paagal ho gayi ho riya, tumhe pyaar ka matlab bhi nahi pata! Aur tum ye acche se jaanti ho ki mai sirf roshni se pyaar karta hoon.

Riya- sir aapne hi mujhse kaha tha ki pyaar ka kya matlab hota hai vo mai tab jaanungi jab mujhe sach me pyaar hoga….aur mujhe pyaar ho gaya hai…mai jaanti hoon! Aur shaayd aap bhi jaante hain, kyuki aapne meri aankho me dekha hai..!

(arjun cools down and goes to riya,who was crying😭. He keeps his hands on her shoulders)

Arjun- dekho riya. ye sahi nahi hai. tumhaare saamne tumhaari poori zindagi padi hai…..aur tum jaanti ho mai kaisa hoon, phir bhi tum…

Riya- haan sir phir bhi mai aapse paar karti hoon. Aap mujhe sazaa dena chahte hain na? kahiye…kya sazaa denge? Mujhe arrest karenge?(behaving childish) but mai toh vaise bhi arrest ho chuki hoon, abb mai aapke siva aur kuch nahi sochti!. Maine aapse jaan-boojh karr pyaar nahi kiya sir, bass aapse pyaar ho gaya!(crying😭)

Arjun- mai tumse pyaar nahi karta riya😕. (arjun said this with lots of resistance which he got frm the heart. That't why he had to say this with his eyes closed)

Riya- mai jaanti hoon sir, aur mai vaada karti hoon ki kabhi apni dosti ke beech me mai apne pyaar ko nahi aane doongi! I promise sir…but aap mujhse door matt jayiega! Please sir.

Arjun- ghar chalo riya!

Riya- but sir…

Arjun- meri baat mano. Mai samajh sakta hoon tum iss vakt kya feel karr rahi ho….but abhi ghar chalo.

(arjun leaves, riya is confused whether arjun has accepted her as his friend or he still wants to distance himself from her but she quietly follows him)

(they reach the house)

(they are surprised to see mrs Mehta sitting on her wheelchair and waiting for them to come back)

Arjun- aunty…aap yaha?

Mrs Mehta- mai aap logo ka hi wait karr rahi thi.

Arjun- kya baat hai?

Mrs Mehta- maine suna hai ki aap log detectives hain.

(ariya shocked)

Arjun- but…aapko..

Mrs Mehta- mujhe kaise pata chala vo aapke matlab ki baat nahi hai…aap ye bataiye ki aap yaha kyu aaye hain?

Arjun- hum log aapke bete ke case ke liye aaye hain. Aapki maid nataasha ne aake humse kaha tha ki use lagta hai ki mr Mehta ka murder hua tha.

(only manoj was there to help mrs Mehta with the wheelchair and no other servant was present. Mrs Mehta signals manoj to leave)

Mrs Mehta- aapko kya lagta hai? kya sahi me mere bete ka murder hua hai?

Arjun- jee haan. Mujhe poora yakeen hai ki aapki servant meena aur mr Mehta ke friend mr kabir ne mil ke unhe maara hai.

Mrs Mehta- lekin mr kabir ki mental state toh theek nahi hai.

Arjun- haan, lekin maine mr kabir ka room check kiya tha aur unke room me mujhe BP low karne ki davaa ki ek khaali bottle mili thi, phir aaj maine medical shop me poocha toh vaha se mili jaankaari se yehi lagta hai kabir ne hi ye sab kiya hai.

Mrs Mehta- kaise?

Arjun- pehle kabir ne meena se keh ke BP low karne ki davaa mangvaayi, phir vo davaa unhone mr Mehta ki chocolates me mila di. Jo chocolate box mr Mehta ke liye uss din aayi thi vo poori bhari hui thi aur mr kabir ne use dustbin me daal diya aur davaa mili hui chocolate box ko uski jagah rakh diya. Mr Mehta ne vo chocolates khaayi aur phir unka BP itna low ho gya ki vo marr gaye! That's it.

Mrs Mehta- dekhiye mr arjun, mai aapko ek baat bataana chahti hoon. Mere bete ko mr kabir nahi maar sakte, kyuki mere bete ko khud maine maara hai.!

(ariya shocked)

Riya- kya?? Aapne??

Mrs Mehta(with tears in her eyes)- mera beta accha insaan nahi tha arjun beta, vo ek bura insaan tha. Usne apni hi wife ko maar daala tha, meri aankho ke saamne.! Mai darr ke kaaran chup rahi. Vo roz na jaane kitne galat kaam karta tha. Aur phir maine dekha ki mere bete aur nataasha ke beech kuch chal raha hai. mujhe pata tha ki mera beta Natasha ki zindagi bhi barbaad karr dega! Isisliye maine use….(she crys😭)

(arjun keeps his hand on her shoulder)

Arjun- its ok mrs Mehta. Mujhe inn sab ke bare me kuch pata nahi tha.! Aapne apne bete ko kaise maara?

Mrs Mehta(wiping her tears)- maine hi meena se BP low karne ki davaa mangvaayi. Phir maine meena se kaha ki vo mujhe library le chale, vaha uss vakt koi nahi tha, phir maine dekha ki chair ke baajoo me chocolate ka box raha tha, maine manoj se ek aur box mangvaaya aur uss chocolates me saari davaa mix karr di. Phir maine table pe rakhe box ko dustbin me daalna chaha, but vo mere haanth se gir gaya, phir maine jaldi se use utha ke pheka aur davaa vaala box table pe rakha and vaha se chali gayi…mai kya karti….mujhe maarna pada apne bete ko.!

Arjun- huh! Mai samajh sakta hoon.!

Mrs Mehta- phir maine hi mr kabir me kamre me vo bottle rakhva di thi taaki shak unpar jaaye, lekin abb mujhe lagta hai ki mujhe apna gunaah kabool lena chahiye! Aap mujhe arrest karr lijiye!

Arjun- nahi mrs Mehta…ye ek secret investigation tha, aur mai ye case solve nahi karr paya….the case is closed mrs Mehta. Aapke bete ki death natural karaar di jaati hai.

(arjun leaves and riya looks at him with glittering eyes)

Riya(thinking)- sir kitne kind hain! Itni aasani se mrs Mehta ko maaf karr diya!

(she goes to mrs Mehta)

Riya- mam, aapka beta sahi me itna bura aadmi tha toh aapne use maar ke bilkul sahi kiya!...abbb….i mean…..aapki galti nahi hai….aur arjun sir bohot acche hain, vo jaante hain ki aapko sazaa dila ke koi fayada nahi hai! u take care mam..

(arjun and riya leave from there that morning. they are talking very formally)

(in the car)

Arjun(to riya)- mujhe pehle hi samajh jaana tha ki mrs Mehta hi ye murder karr sakti hain.

Riya- kyu sir?

Arjun- kyuki jab maine vo boxes dekhe the, toh uske lids different colors ke the, yaani blue box ka lid pink box me laga tha. Tumhe yaad hai mrs Mehta ka cataract ka opetation hua tha. Yaani unhe dikhaai theek se nahi deta tha toh jab unke haath se boxes gir gaye the, toh unhe utha ke vaapas rakhne me unki nazar ki kamzori ke karan hi unhone blue color ki lid pink box me laga di. Poore ghar me sirf mrs Mehta hi thi jinki ankhe kharab thi.!

Riya- haan sir.

(riya thinks ki sab kuch theek ho gaya hai)

(next morning at ETF office. Arjun has not arrived yet)

Riya(impatiently)- rathore sir…..arjun sir kaha hai?

Rathore- vo delhi gaya hai, pata nahi kabb aayega!

Riya- kya?

Rathore – haan. Vo kisi aur kaam se gaya hai and mujhe nahi lagta abb vo ETF me continue karr payega(he said with a little sadness in his voice)

(riya is totally heart broken)

(riya has told sam and shree whatever happened the day b4)

Shree- its ok ri….i know sab theek hoga!

Samara- kya sab theek hoga? Apne aap theek nahi ho jaayega sab kuch! Hume khud theek karna hoga!

Shree- aur vo hum kaise karenge?

Samara- tumse toh kuch hone nahi vaala, kyuki arjun sir ke saamne toh tum bheega billa bann jaate ho! Mujhe hi kuch karna hoga!

(riya is crying😭)

Rathore- ye tum log kya keh rahe ho?

Sam- kuch nahi bhaiya, aap apne kaam se market jaane vaale the na, toh jaao!

Rathore- tumhe nai chalna?

Sam- nope!

Rathore- theek hai…mai jaa raha hoon..

(he goes and chotu goes with him)

Sam- mai arjun sir ko phone lagaati hoon.

Riya- nahi samara…plzzz…sir ko accha nahi lagega!

Sam- you don't take tension…when I am here….u need not fear…and I hate tears..! ok!

Shree- yaha riya ki haalat kharaab ho rahi hai aur tumhe dialog maarne ki padi hai?

Sam- chup raho na yaar!

(sam goes to the other room and calls arjun)

Arjun- samara, mujhe koi baat nahi karni….tumne kyu phone kiya hai?

Sam- sir, zindagi sab ko 2^nd chance nahi deti…but aapko diya hai!

Arjun- mujhe kuch nahi sunna samara….mai phone rakh raha hoon.

Sam- nahi sir rukiye! Galti riya ki nahi hai, galti mere uss game ki hai….i know ki aapko uss game ke kaaran suddenly realize hua that u love riya. hain na?

Arjun- tum bhi bakwaas shuru matt karo!

(he cuts the call)

(samara comes to riya and shree)

Shree- kya hua? Khaa lee daant?

Sam- jee nahi!...riya, I think I need to go to arjun sir….i am gng to delhi.

Shree- vah! yuhi akele?

Sam- mai bohot se kaam akele karti hoon! Samjhe?

(sam call rathore to book a ticket for delhi as soon as psbl. Rathore ko blackmail karke sam succeeds in flying off to delhi.)
