Mahi’s father is Kavya’s ex-husband who was after Kavya and wanted her back. Kavya slept with him in emotional distress when Vanraj was cheating on her and got pregnant. That ex hubby abandoned Kavya right after and didn’t want to take responsibility of the child. Kavya came back to Shah parivar. When Mahi was born, the child Mahi always craved to be with her mom and be with family as Kavya had put her in hostel all her life since Vanraj didn’t want her to be in their family. Only in the end Kavya brought her back to Shah family where she wasn’t accepted until the end where Baa accepted her from Shah family. Later the actress playing Kavya quit and it was shown she left for foreign country for her career, Mahi didnt want to be away from family again and because Vanraj too left the show, so Paritosh became the head of the family and refused to accept or take care of Mahi. The child Mahi was so cute and went through so much. This adult Mahi is so vile. It’s sad what they turned that sweet and vulnerable child into :(
I don’t watch the show anymore, but Mahi the child was the sweetest. Her father abandoned her, Vanraj and rest of Shah mistreated her and her mom too abandoned her. But she always craved for love and had no ill towards anyone. How did they turn that sweet child to this? Even this adult Mahi was sweet in the beginning. The actress is actually beautiful and expressive. They should’ve taken this actress as Rahi from the beginning. At least, the previous actress playing Rahi had somewhat innocence on her face. But this new Rahi actress doesn’t even have that. And why do they keep changing Chotu Anu’s name after each leap? Aadhya name was good. Why did they turn the name to Rahi??
