A prediction...

Since RG has stepped into politics, I predict that Anupamaa will return to India and somehow find herself in politics too. Her family will reject her and she'll want to do something not just for herself or her family but for the entire country blah blah. The promos will call it her nayi udaan.

She'll be shown fighting with courage and honesty against corrupt politicians, defeating everyone despite many struggles (all to boost her real-life chances). More opportunities for lengthy baashans and unending storylines, ofc.

Maybe she'll be an overdramatic, hypocritical and unbearable version of Rajani (from the lovely old DD serial, if anyone remembers).

I think she will leave the show to actively participate in politics.

And the show will improve after that without her interference even if TRPs fall initially.

Kamaal hai… Agar aap show mein interfere karne ki taakat rakhte hain toh isn’t it logical ki aap apne liye ek inspirational character graph sketch karwate.. Interfere karke yeh kya bhayanak swaroop diya hai Maa ko… I don’t have much idea of what goes on behind the scenes, but if she really thought that her character will get away with everything by just giving bhashans copied from activists of various social isssues, and will be idolised and worshiped, without even showing even a minutest growth, she has done nothing but a gross injustice to her own character, who was once genuinely looked upon and rooted for.

There are two major issues which is causing all the drop in quality.

1) The main character and the producer is very close to the shah actors, particularly the vanraj actor. This results in lot of screen time for them even when it doesn't make sense and anupama being friendly with her abusive ex and saas.

2) If any other character gets praise and appreciation and fan following they are immediately turned into villain or sidelined. Anuj was getting very popular, so the whole splitting thing happened and they barely get screen time together. Maya's dancing was praised, immediately she turned villain overnight. Shruti is also going same way.

If you consider these two factors everything will make sense, why the plots become nonsense, why anupama has more respect for abusive ex family than her current family, why she neglects Anuj and Adhya, why characters change overnight.

A great show is being ruined by ego.
