We shouldn't compare Shruti with Anupama

Shruti and Anupama both lived in different world . Shruti was independent, educated , unmarried and lived in USA for many years .

Anupama was born in poor family , got married at the age of 19 , was abused for 26 years

Both of them have very different life and I think we shouldn't compare with eachother . as one has good luck and had more opportunities but the other one has nothing (before Anuj entry)

The very meaning of the name Anupamaa is - “incomparable” .The show’s protagonist has proved it time and again that she is true to her name. She is unique indeed!

How long will people keep using her 26 yrs of abuse as an excuse to justify her current situation?

Who compared first of all? Devi Maa ka koi comparison hai hi nahi! And who would lile to be compared with a woman like Anupama?

Maa had a chance to have everything Shruti had since birth or has now including Anuj - Maa was married to a billionaire, could’ve sincerely completed her financial literacy course and become independent but she chose Shahs over everything and she chose this life over that dignified life she had.

So its her own doing. Ab bhi nahi sudhri, pehle Amdavad ki galiyo mein beijjati karati thi ab International Level pe Madam ke photu chap rahe hain….she is ridiculous!

Even if she was an abuse victim, where did she bring her abusers to justice ? If Shahs were her abusers shouldn't they be in jail ? Even if they are not in jail shouldn't there be a perpetual tension in her body language, when she interacts with them ? Wouldn't an abuse victim want to avoid her abusers to the maximum extent she can ? Did any of this happen ? I never saw it.. Abuser Baa became Maa, Mishter Shah became galat when he was indeed ghatiya. She spent maximum time with them. When she was not with them, mentally she was there. Now even her children are abusers and criminals but she would still feed them after getting shouted at for the millionth time. For this she sacrificed opportunities, love, responsibilities, family and a potential happy life.

I believe as storytellers if the writers, producers seeked sympathy for an abuse victim from the audience, it was their obligation to bring the perpetrators to justice. It should have happened through Anupamaa. They owed it to their viewers. Cleverly changing the narrative, diluting the impact of the actions of those abusers, after they got the requisite attention and emotional investment from the audience, for the sake of longevity and as a result minting more money is deceitful towards the viewers. No one may ever challenge them but what they have done is still wrong and extremely sly. Wish the audience saw this.

But who's comparing them ?

Do they not know, the great Maa hona requirements are at a different level ?

Anupama only drawback is that she respect baa and try to do everything all alone other wise I don't see serious fault in anupama

She is also human being aisi choti Moti galti to sabse hoti Hai no one is perfect

And Shruti neither has children from other marriage neither she is divorcee But anupama is divorcee and had children from previous marriage and moreover different in age

To dono Shruti and anupama ki condition mei bahut farak hai

Anupama is 20 year older than Shruti to dono ke age ke hisaab ke soch mein farak hoga

Who compares Maa with Shruti? Maa ka kisi se koi comparison nhi hai because she is not a human she is God kyuki wo Maaaa hai

Once again, these dolts didn't even need to do anything special. This is a remake of the far superior Bengali show Sreemoyee.
They could have just copied the OG scene for scene and it would have fetched a lot of eyeballs.

They never needed to show this nonsense in the first place!

The worst part is how aggressively defensive Anupama stans have become defending her ridiculous actions of going back to abusers again and again and the utterly regressive debate of adopted v/s biological child constantly getting dragged in between, berating the male love interest who actually respected and loved her, all to glorify abusers and perpetuate the skewed image of how a woman can never move on in life to better things if she has an abusive past and/or kids.

What a waste of opportunity.
