Just FYI as well, According to the Hindu Marriage Act, a spouse can file for divorce on the ground of desertion or abandonment if the other spouse has been absent for a continuous period of not less than two years before the day of application of the divorce.

But in that case Anuj is the one who will have to file for divorce because Anupamaa had gone missing. I really don't think this closure-hungry mess of a person would have had the guts to do that. I mean, he got over his college love really quickly, didn't he?

As far as I remember, all the times that Vanraj had humiliated her, she stood her ground and continued to serve him like a loyal wife ( when she was still married to him). He had thrown her out of the house, closed the door on her face. She begged and went in. (This was episode #1 & 2) Following day was business as usual. He has even insulted her publicly stating that he regrets marrying a gawaar. Why didn’t she walk out at that time?

Anupamaa is wrong no matter how I see it. She has no bearing to question Anuj whatsoever.

There may be fathers who raise their children single handed ly not all men who loose their spouse, get into live in relationships specially wen Anuj claims to be or is shown to be so Desi n traditional n religious...on one hand n den on the other hand he is literally emotionally cheating Shruti... no offense to anyone.... just my POV...

But anupama anuj case mein without party appear divorce aise hi ho gaya??

No point in analysing this show based on factual and real information. ITV shows are set in "la la land", where anything can be twisted in any manner to suit the ongoing narrative.

Most importantly, such shows are not meant for audiences like us who do critical analysis. It is meant only for naive viewers who have a one-dimensional view of the story wherein Anupama is the best, she wronged nobody yet everyone hurt her.

All her wrongdoings are "tyaag & punya'', while everybody else's is "khudgarzi & paap".
