I can speak for myself and I feel this could be the general reason.

If there are certain excuses why Anupama is spared or considered good, then the same barometer should be held for the other characters as well.

So, just because she warned Vanraj off his advances but kept going back to cheer him, motivate him(, knowing well that both him and his mother wanted Anupama back in Shah House) and even kept his secrets and that is acceptable.

Anuj went to Mumbai for his daughter (who shouldn't have been sent away in the first place). Everyone knew he harboured NO feelings for Maaya which he has openly exhibited his utter disdain. But Anuj is a cheater.

The 3 anmol ratna are hopeless and even after Anupama is not under anyone's suppression makes No effort to correct them and still calls herself "Besht Maa".

How can she point fingers at the parenting of Rakhi, Barkha, the random parents who came to Kapadia Mansion for practice whose children are far better and well behaved.

Those who live in glass houses do NOT throw stones at others.

Anupama is Not the only Maa there. The other female characters have seen much greater struggles than Anupama for her to be protrayed as bechari.

And anuj already know there is still already cordial relationship of anupama with vanraj even after divorce so it is not cheating

Even though I also feel Shruti is being wronged here, she deserves better, we can give him benefit of doubt until he comes face to face with Maa and tells Shruti that she is Anupamaa, if he doesn’t than he will also be doing what Maa did to him for three years because in the end the gist of the story is - Ek Kagaz Ke Tukde se Rishte Khatam nahi hote and Maa ke to 2 Kagaz ke Tukde hain

He already has told Shruti he loves his ex but Shruti is still devoted to him.

Right now he is yet to confirm if Joshi Ben is Anupamaa and if the woman he saw was actually Anupamaa and that she is in America.

Legally he is a divorced man so he is free to move on but the way Anupamaa left him has only left many questions open for him to clarify with her. Atleast Maa had a genuine reason to divorce and leave Vanraj but why did Maa leave and never look back has made him bitter, and difficult to get over such a love or I better say bad experience.

You're making the fundamental mistake of expecting consistent logic, sense and reasonableness from a foolish hypocrite

There is a long way to go to for Majboor before he does to Shruti, what the two timing Jogan did to him. But given the nature of the show and shamelessness of the producers, it's more or less a certainty.

What is the legendary dialogue "kagaz ke tukde par toote.........." supposed to mean?

The phrendship is so strong that she let Vanraj go scott free by just a few warning dialogues even after confessing to his crime.

But seriously, Shruti you need to run.

You managed perfectly for 5 - 6 years and suddenly you are a handicap without Joshi Ben. An acquaintance that makes you crippled is plain dangerous. So is your fiancé.
