More than anyone, the writers need therapy.
Kya hi likh rahe hain?!
I mean, Imagine. They created:
Anupama, the protagonist, the less said the better about this mahaan character.
Vanraj, the antagonist forced as the hero. Again, less said the better.
Anuj, the actual hero forced as the supporting cast. This guy is, perhaps the most confused character. The only 2 reasons this character garners any liking is when a.) he stands up to show the mirror to the wrongdoings of Anupama not accepting the second class treatment meted out by her b.) He stands up for his daughter firmly against the world (the love of his life included) and is there for his daughter in raising her. But for these two, there is nothing even he can be proud of. He has never been grateful to his parents and never valued his family, never respected the position and power he was handed over or that he worked so hard to expand.
Who are the characters that we have come to like and identify with?
Rakhi, to a large extent, Barkha, Maaya?
But they will never build these characters (on the contrary will butcher them) because they will be a threat to the popularity of the protagonist and expose the utter nonsense that is dished out in the name of Women Empowerment.
