Why Anuj is still with Anupama???

Why is he still with Anupama . He should go back to America and should never returned . This women literally ruine this life . He is way happy without her. Anuj you still have time , take CA away from all toxicity & live a happy life . Upma isn't worth of struggles & sacrifices you are doing .

I.am.sure he wills definitely find women that might be modern, successful , good looking and rich like him

Had it been reality, a man like Anuj wouldn't even have looked at someone like her.

On a more serious note, I think the misstep in Anuj's character arc was to make him an admirer from college days. Because I mean what did he see in her? It's not very clear to me. Her simplicity (idiocy)? The awful dance? Did she make khichdi fatafat in some college food fest? Who knows

It would have been better to have him come in as a grey character trying to take over the spare land of Dukhmukh and then have him fall in love with Anupama. Idk would have made for a more interesting storyline than I waited 26 years without ever finding anyone else who could replace the infatuation I had in college. It was very unrealistic now that I think about it

Nobody knows but one thing is for sure, they are definitely evading taxes so that when there are penalties, they will suddenly start crying and begging before Majboor who will pay it off (after some nautanki by his wife on their behalf)

When he said he wanted to be like her, he meant it in every way possible. He could only not wear a suit sari (apart from sitara awards), else he's egg-jectly like her in slaving for shameless shahs and doing their chamchagiri while getting insulted.
