Because no one can be better, rational, and more liked than Anupama. So even if a character talks rationally, has genuine issues, and has been a victim, and most importantly we as a viewer resonate with him / her, they downgrade the character, make them attack below the belt, so that whatever sympathy the audience has is washed away. U are allowed to sympathise, but not more than Anupama. Characters may talk rationally but not more than Anupama. They can be victims but not more than Anupama. What they don't understand is that human emotions cannot be micro-managed. You feel a natural affinity towards someone. Fondness grows organically. In trying to keep Anupama on the highest pedestal, they have taken away any sympathy/emotions one may feel toward her. As far as I am concerned reel or real I hate people who think they only need to preach and learn nothing.
