Poll on Rajan Shahi shows

Please comment on why u still watch or love the show. Also please give any recommendations on other Rajan Shahi shows to watch or any Hindi serials you are hooked on if you are withdrawing from Anupamaa or Rajan Shahi general.

I tend to like DKP shows in the beginning of the love story and drop them after the lead couple gets married to avoid separation and divorce drama. Watched Anupamaa until after the rape track. Started to watch recently when Maaya died but I was bored.

Watched and loved Woh to hai Albela for the lead couple even if it had sass-bahu crap. The lead pair were inseparable to the end. I like couples that stand up for each other.

YRKKH was just the same in the beginning. NAKSH never separated and stood up for each other. They had fights but reconciled quickly. Never had blows that went to signing divorce papers. Never saw the second generation and glad for that! Just watching the third for Jay Soni because I loved him SGP season 1.

Other shows I like are Waghle Ki Duniya and Dhruv Tara on SAB, Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai on SONY LIV, and Na Umar Ki Seema Ho on Hulu/Hotstar.

Sorry if this was too long to to read. Just want your opinions and/or suggestions. Maybe I was of help if you are trying to find something else to watch.

Old Yrkkh, Bidaai, Tere Sheher Mein and Yrhpk were all very good shows much better than the current trash that DKP shows now! It’s sad to see how a PH who made such good shows have just become greedy for TRP!

I agree. DKP shows start on a good premise and then become a mess. Of late, they love to setup a popular couple in their show and keep a lot of people hooked in that couple's journey which is mostly full of downs and a rare occasional up in 2 months.

YRHPK had such good leads but became all about a scheming mother in law and related drama. Typical. Even in the past he had adapted a classic show from Pakistan called Dhoop Kinaare into Kuch Toh Log Kahenge which ran quite well initially and then went down the drain but it at least ended at one point.

I'm actually surprised how the Marathi adaptation of Sreemoyee produced by them seems to be quite realistic and better when compared to the trash served in the name of Anupamaa. After this show, I'm certainly avoiding any DKP shows

I follow the marathi adaptation of anupamaa, aai kuthe kay karte. Much more realistic and sensible. And their version of shahs do get their karma, at least to some extent...

I liked the show called "Bidaai" by Rajan Shahi. It ran for 3 years if I am not wrong and none of the characters were butchered. In fact, everyone had their arc and got proper character development. But again shows with logic can't run forever right 🤪

Currently, I sometimes follow Kathaa Ankahee. I was excited for a certain arc but I am not enjoying the execution, maybe because I wanted it to be a different way. Other than that I am watching an old Zee TV show called "Punar Vivaah" and I guess you would like it. The leads have chemistry and stand up for each other. No OTT fights or slapping or abusing or demeaning each other.

I guess it's the trend nowadays. During 2008 -2013, many good shows came on various channels. To name a few are Baalika Vadhu, Parichay, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch kaha, Na Aana Is Desh.. etc from colors, Doli Armaano ki, Punar vivah etc from Zee and YHM, Bidaai, YRKKH (1st gen) etc from Sitaara. None of these shows were toxic. I don't know what changed. I stopped watching ITV for almost a decade and now it has become a toxic fest. The irony is these toxic shows get the trp and the non-toxic ones doesn't. Why would a producer incur a loss? Pre-2008, it was Ekta's rule with multiple marriages, amnesia, plastic surgery etc. But shows like Bidaai, BV, PV were a welcome change but now none of the changes survive in this toxicity.

Watched most of the shows you mentioned. Heard so much about Bidaii but Hulu/Hotstar doesn’t have all the episodes in the USA. Waiting for Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. Hope DKP doesn’t butcher the show. I have Sony LIV, so will watch Kuch to Log Khenge(sp?)

I am quite sure it will be ruined or else it will go off air

I watch Maa and YRKKH. They were good when I started watching but now it's just the potential the characters have and the hope that things will turn back to how I used to like watching that keeps me going. Going to leave both the serials once a Gen leap takes place because the initial months are like clickbait. In both the forums, there are some amazing members. So, that's another reason.
