And about the stake and reputation, she herself decided to put all that at risk by hiring Anupama in the first place. She could have done basic research and seen that Anupama is someone who always abandons her responsibilities, she had abandoned 2 dance academies

Finally its funny how you say she thinks only Anuj can stop him when she can see Anupama pays much more time, respect etc with Vanraj and Baa. Anuj always encouraged her dreams, baa and vanraj stopped her but somehow MD doesnt know this?

It seems Malti devi went with her dream ovr hr kid when she was made to choose by hr partner, rather than supporting. But I guess, she still carries d guilt of leaving hr child. So, while she is wary of Anuj, wants Anupamaa to do d same to validate her own decision & lessen her guilt.
