In the previous episodes, i guess i heard Anuj claim that Maaya was his curse, his punishment.

I completely agree with you. Poor Anuj welcomed his own misery. 26 years wait??? Nonsense. This evil woman is impossible to tolerate 25 seconds!!!! Grand farewell from Divine Baa and Vanaraj explained everything. It was magical moment when Vanaraj gave Ghungru to SurajMaa. Why don't she divorce Anuj and free him.

In my pov, the 'most idiotic' decision of Anuj's life is to let his feelings for Choti Anu have a total control upon his judgement.

He got badly ensnared in Maaya's tricks, Barkha's schemes and so far, i'm yet to understand what did Vannu do in this whole plot of keeping MaAn apart.

Anuj or someone similar was required, how else would they have repaid the 40lakhs loan set up the restaurant chain? Who needed who left to interpretation.

he knows Vanraaj is Anupma ex husband shayad ye sunke hi wapas aya hoga India.he knows everything from devika n must have the idea how Shahs r as well .he still remembered that college crush and must have tried to find out about her out of curiosity to know what she is up to in life and yes his 26 of love finally happen but I already know that something will terrible happen to anuj since anupama is still attached with Shah.
