We are a unique civilization.

The repeated invasions from time in memoriam and the fight to survive has made us inherently defensive and sensitive at the same time have built a strange sense of humour.

However, we have never shied away from being absolutely vocal on our views and stances. That's that!

About dealing with criticism, I think we are ALL, globally the same. We become overly critical and also cannot handle criticism well enough.

Now coming to work culture. It is a universal truth that there exists a group in every industry and workspace. Power, money, influence in some form or the other creates and sustains this.

It is like electricity, it exists but is known only when it leaks!

Exactly. Its a business and a ruthless one at that. They do what fetches them money. Actors are employees, highly paid ones but still employees. Don’t know how much influence the producer (thu thu thu uncle?) has over writers but surely to some degree.

People will say ANYTHING to defame or point fingers at female leads. Anupamaa acts crazy but thats not RG’s fault. TBH I feel RG is totally bored of Anu and her stupidity lol.
Thats why in today’s beautiful sequence she was in form because it was something different and intense.

I have seriously trolled SP many times .... ❤️❤️❤️

I didn't know he was a female

I think its best we(me included obviously) refrain from making any negative comments or ones which may come across as ‘demeaning’ to actors and their fans and try to avoid posting topics which could be misinterpreted as hateful towards any particular actor.

I get that the show is highly frustrating at this point and we all want to vent and express our dislike for certain characters but lets just keep it lighthearted and not take comments personally.

Its a fiction show afterall, meant for entertainment…definitely not worth getting riled up about.

*End of gyaan*

I again apologize for this negative post ..

My intentions were seriously not negative and i have already cleared that million times here.

What i said about her was in context of the show, nothing about her personal life or physical appearance....

Bold ; I 'll keep that in mind for future and I'll refrain from bringing actors.❤️❤️

I made a mistake and i apologise sincerely.

I'm sincerely sorry to Rupali and her fans. Anyone who is hurt because of this post can freely report me.

Even I feel she might be done with Anu’s antics in the show. She might be done w the shahs nonsense.. that is why she gets excited and performs well on MaAn scenes or even the scenes in KH. There is a different energy in her.. I am sure both RG and GK enjoyed this sequence. GK was toh so excited he even shared that MaAn story which he actually never does lol..

Tbh, i didn't find this topic as demeaning. But be truthful about it, there are many posts demeaning and defaming actors made in past and continued to be made.

Its not about hero worship or actors needing their so called fan army to protect themselves, its about crossing the boundary of decency while making fun of character and unknowingly start including actor also in their troll comments. If this is the definition of fun people are looking for here then its very cheap kind of fun.

I myself keep trolling anupama, vanraj, baa, pakhi as the characters and I don't mean to be rude or disrespect actors. I have even praised them for their performances also. This is how it should be.

But people often get involved in name calling, making disrespectful comments, targeting them for their personal life choices etc in the name of trolling their character which is not in good taste. Its people who blur the line of reel and real and get swayed away in their so called emotions. So its not the fan army who jumps in first, its trolls who have their emotions all over the place because of a fictional show. They can't take it lightly and they definitely cant keep reel and real separate.

Now its not fandom's job to retaliate but they do because they have to prove their point and sing their fav actors praises. At the end it turns toxic from both sides and original argument is just forgotten.it just reduced to "who gets to have final say in it."

Why to encourage such things at first? We should not wait for a complaint and environment to turn toxic.

And I will be very honest here, I have spent some great time in this forum but lately forum has really became negative. I am not blaming this particular forum, its normal now a days. Once the show loses its charm people tend to vent out their frustration on the forums and doesn't matter how much they try, the environment becomes unhealthy. This is social media trend I have observed and its everywhere. But it is sad reality.

But thats just the flip side of fame. When actors get over the top praise and money just for being in some tv series, there is also the flip side which comes with it

You cannot be ok with one (huge fame, money) and then gatekeep the other(toxicness and negative attention). Public personalities are always in the public eye, actors like Rupali go out of the way to stay in limelight and have huge PR

Crossing decency is evil, but there is no way anyone can gatekeep. The only way to stop negative attention is if the positive attention was also tempered. When someone becomes huge, the negative attention also becomes huge

You cannot control one with other side not being controlled.

"Crossing decency is evil"...I really feel like this person is just making a similar point.

Not gatekeeping....more like keeping this forum a healthy and welcoming place for discussion where there is respect towards each other and the actors as fellow human beings?

I'm also wondering where the line is.

Yes, exposure to the public can be a direct consequence of a huge amount of fame - and there will be more scrutiny and more criticism, which is okay.

Criticism as an actor I think the audience have every right.

But maybe let's not drag their personal lives into all this...we don't really know her, nor she us. The internet is really blurring all kinds of boundaries, but sometimes I feel we are now connected too much.

I agree what you said.

But I feel you are saying it from celebrity pov. And its completely true. If they want to enjoy fame then they better be ready to bear criticism also.

But what I am saying is from fandom/critique/viewer pov. As a viewer we are justified to criticize them where their work is concerned or their image as a celebrity is concerned but making it our life's mission to find negativity in everything related to them is neither worth it nor it is required. And doing all this under garb of "just criticising the character" is another level of hypocrisy.

Ok, celebs should prepare themselves to listen or read worse about themselves and its not in our hand to control every troll on earth but we can maintain at least our decency. Maintain decorum of this forum and avoid the clash amonf fandoms.

Trolling for fun is ok. But nobody knows where to put the full stop. I give you some examples-

Trolling - anupama is maid, naukrani, rotlibai, free ki ghulam etc.

Demeaning remarks- rupali is disgusting, rupali is stupid, rupali doesn't have any sense.

Trolling/criricism- Anupama is shown as talented dancer but rupali is not that great dancer, she should work on her dancing skills.

Demeaning remarks- Rupali doest know abcd of dance she looks like circus monkey while dancing, my kid dance better than her, who made her female lead, she is such a pathetic dancer.

Trolling/criticism - Rupali's acting is not upto the mark. I think she is heavily inspired from sridevi of English vinglish. She should work out her own style. Expressions could have been better etc.

Demeaning remarks- I am just fed up of her loud acting. She is just a loser who doest know how to act. She is a copycat of sridevi. She is disgusting and pathetic actress. Ph should throw her out of the show.

Trolling - anuj is anupama's puppy, paltu pati, pallu pati, bachha chor etc.

Demeaning remarks- gaurav is spineless to accept this role for money. Isko kisne actor bana diya yaar. Aa jata roz roz apna sada hua thobda leke.

I hope you get what difference I was trying to point out. Both kinds of words people have used for anuj anupama and rupali gaurav. We should just remember where to draw a line. We can use common sense, its not that difficult.

So my opinion that Rupali the actor comes across as insecure and jealous ...I shouldn't post here?? This is just a criticism of the actor and why not?? Aren't actors criticized for acting/behaviour ....superstars like Khans and Deepika, Katrina have all been criticized sometime or the other??

Why should Rupali get a free pass?? She is an actor...I think she is a very bad actor and she is one of the reasons why the character Anupama is trolled more than it should be.....it is my opinion on the lead actor of this soap and there is nothing wrong in expressing it.....I am not abusing the actor.....just criticizing how bad her skill/behaviour is....we all get criticized if we don't do our jobs properly.......please allow decent criticism atleast...

Criticism is always welcome and makes for a good discussion as long as members dont take it personally. Abusing anyone be it actors or members is big NO!

my comment here was only a suggestion from a ‘regular member’, aam bhasha mein bolo toh I was giving gyan/opinion like any of us would…but guess it sounded like a mod note which it wasnt…
