I guess the difference is that even though anuj loved parayi anupama but he never made a move till she was married and never plotted or planned to get her divorced or eyed her lustfully.

So what if she was married, pyaar to pyaar hai. He never even once tried to snatch her from her husband. He didn’t even let her see his face. He expressed his love ONLY when she was single again.

What Maya has for Anuj is selfish attraction. She sees how gentlemanly he is, how he loves CA, how he respects women, how rich and successful he is and thinks she loves him. Plus she is plotting to separate him from his most precious wife. Thats malice. Not love.

Sorry I don't mean any offence but this is a strange way of thinking. They are also human beings, it could be possible that someone develops feelings for them on spending time with them, it's only wrong if they act on it or have the wrong intentions. And in this case Anuj fell in love with Anupama during college, much before she got married and he never even acted on it or bothered them in any way all those years, so how could they have a problem with it. He came into their lives much later, when the parents were divorced. And lots of people remarry, we live in 2023 now, and the younger generation is in fact more exposed to these things and learn to prioritise happiness over what society says.

Also, their father abused and cheated on their mother for SO MANY YEARS. Any child would see what their mother went through and be really happy that they've found someone who values them and treats them properly. This isn't some story where the mother fell in love with another man while with the father, even though the father was great or whatever and left him. In such cases, it's hard for kids to accept. But Pakhi's and Toshu's behaviour honestly can't be justified. I understand initial reluctance and hesitance but if they weren't terribly selfish kids, they would have understood much earlier.
