"Bapuji?" Vanraj says, surprised.
Bapuji is standing at the door, looking perfectly fine.
Baa appears to look relieved and so do the rest.
Anuj looks happy.
Bapuji acknowledges Vanraj. "Mein theek hu, chinta karne ki baat nahi hai" He sounds a little curt and turns to glare at Leela, whose expression falters. He looks furious.
Anupama comes running to him in tears and opens her mouth to ask "Aap -"
Bapuji nods but goes:
"Meri kahani to mein baad mein kahuunga. Lekin ho kya raha tha yahan pe? Accha hua mein thodi der pehle pahunch gaya aur sab kuch sun liya."
"Sab. Kuch." He says, looking at Leela, enunciating the words like he wanted it to hurt her.
"Aap bhi aise mujhe dekh rahe ho? Sabhi ne mujhe hi dosh deta hai, meine kya paap kiya hai ki- " Leela starts her tirade.
"Paap hi kiya hai, Leela. Ghor paap. Ye sab pareshaniyom ka dosh tum Anuj ko de rahe ho? Anuj ko? Is aadmi jo har wakt hamare parivaar ko bachaya hai? Pata hai mein kyun mandir jaane ki baat kar rahe the? Ek baat - kuch der tumse thodi door rehna tha mujhe, thodi shaanthi ke liye. Doosri baat Anuj aur Anupama ke liye prarthana karne ke liye. Hamari wajah se inke beech dooriyaan ho rahi hai, Leela, hamari wajah se"
"Aap bhi...aree kya kiya meine? Anupama hi hamein yahan leker aayi, beizzati karne - "
Bapuji looks calm, but his words seem chilling. Leela looks furious. "Vanraj, jab mera pati hi -"
"Usko bolne dijiye, baa" Vanraj was starting to piece together the truth.
"Aur Anuj ko doshi de raha hai, Anuj ko! Pata hai ussne kya bola mujhse gaadi mein: woh hamesha, har wakt mujhe pita samajhti hai, dil se maanti hai. Aur mein usko beta - "
Anuj, who was smiling triumphantly so far, pauses. His smile falters.
Baapuji goes on. "Tum logon ko laga ki mein missing huun aur pareshan thi. Lekin ek samay ke baad sab bhulkar kitne zor se ek doosre ke saath jhagda kar rahi thi. Tum jaise logon ko baar baar madhad karne wali meri beti ki acchai -"
Anupama looks emotional.
Something clicks in Anuj. "Maaf kijiye Bapuji, lekin ab mujhe bolna padega. Baa ka sach sabke saamne bolne ke liye thank you. Lekin Anu ka iss behavior ko acchai kehna band karo, Bapuji. Aur koi wajah se nahi - "
Bapuji's expression changes, he realizes that he made the wrong move and it was too late now.

"Leela, tum to aise hi soch legi. Mujhe uska dard dikha rahi hai, is liye - " Bapuji tries to save the situation.
"Haan, dard hai" Anuj says softly.
Vanraj has had enough. "Hum logon ki wajah se itna hi dard ho raha hai to nikalti hai phir"
Anuj simply nods, and Barkha looks extremely happy.
"Sab ki sab pack kar de bags. Toshu, Samar, Pakhi!"
Pakhi looks like a bee bit her.
Vanraj turns back to look at Anuj. "Aur ek baat. Jitna hi cash tum humko dekar ehsaan kiya na, woh sab mein interest ke saath waapas duungi"
"Lekin V tumne to job chho-" Kavya starts.
Vanraj turns to glare at her but the damage was done, Anuj lets out a laugh.
Vanraj's hurt ego makes him lash out again. "Aur ab toh festivals mein hamara ghar galti se bhi ayiyega mat. Tumhe bahut zyada pareshani honge na"
Anuj's smile widens. "Ye to aap bada tofa dekar jaa rahi hain, Vanraj? Har festival mein mann ki shaanti aur khushiyan? Aree ye saal to dhamekedar hoga"
Leela has had enough. "Bas, ab aur beizzati mein nahi bardash karungi. Sab ki sab -"
...
As the Shahs leave, and Anuj has a small smile playing on his lips. Anupama turns to look at him and is shocked by the transformation. He looks 20 years younger, like his old, carefree self.
"Mein Choti ko call karti huun" he goes to find his phone, humming a happy tune to himself.
Anupama pauses for the longest second and then goes to join him.
And then they live happily - if not happily, peacefully ever after. (When you are dreaming, why put restrictions).
Also the serial ends because of lack of drama.
