Recently, the lead actress in an interview said that she's proud to be part of a show where serious issues are part of the storyline. In that case, shouldnt the makers show it responsibly keeping in mind the sensitivity of the issue especially things like rape, adultery or domestic violence amongst others.
The way this show has portrayed these is quite frankly illogical and almost making a mockery out of serious issues. There have been several shows which give a social message but they are not so frivolous (Balika Vadhu, Maryaada, Laado etc)
I was quite scared that they'd show Dimple getting badly abused and taunted by TamaShahs because of their regressive notions but that has been slightly delayed to make way for another round of Pakhi's pathetic behaviour. Her manipulation to be shown as a victim of domestic abuse and 'acche pita' Vanarraj being the one who takes a stand, is a literal joke when they have been abusing Anupamaa since years.
Anupamaa may willingly choose to be on the receiving end of abuse at her "Maayka" everyday but taking a serious issue and portraying it in an illogical manner, only to show her as a devi and mahaanta ki murat, is just disrespectful to countless people affected by it.
It's better if they show daily kalesh between anupamaa and Shameless shahs without bringing in such issues since they are simply not interested in showing her growth, education or journey towards being a truly independant person.
