Stop the perfection syndrome

I'm seriously fed up with the constant need to make the heroine perfect in ITV. They are shown as having every virtue posible. They are not shown learning anything. They simply teach the whole world. They are not shown making mistakes. If they do, they will either won't even highlight and if they do, they will make others commit bigger mistakes to cover them up so that people can say "she didn't deserve this". Why do they make a female lead the ultimate bechari and ultimately the most correct. In making her look perfect, they simply make her look like a hypocrite because no one is perfect. Anupamaa could have been much more than the caricature she has become

The reason I suggest Udaan to everybody is not only the realistic and inspiring storyline but also the female lead who is not perfect. She makes mistakes, learns from her mistakes, gets inspired and is inspiring to others, grows as a person, falls down, gets back up. She never becomes perfect until the very end. Yes she grows as a person. You enjoy her journey, clap for her, want her to mend her ways, applaud her when she does not you also see yourself in her.

Another realistic character is that of Kashaf Murtaza of Zindagi Gulzar hai. She's not your perfect shy, submissive, bechari female lead. I could see myself in her. I could connect with her stubbornness, her insecurities, her hesitation to be close to others, her walls she created around her heart, her temper, her frustrations, her heart slowly melting and the wall rising up, then ultimately her letting go of her insecurities and embracing life and love. She had her own values, her own problems, her own issues and her own bloody opinions. She didn't lecture all and sundry. She lived her life and grew as a person.

Where do I get heroines like those now😭

I have been watching dil gulzar hai since few days. Really, it is very very nice. Her mother character is also so good yaar. Even though she has regressive thoughts but the way she raised her daughters. Close to the reality.. Thought process of maa and daughters.. One can relate to. Every character seems real.

I wish there was music or songs.. It was not silenced bcoz of copy right issues.

I had seen it on YouTube. It had background sounds then. They add to the mood. I checked recently. Now there's not😒

Yup. The characters seem real. Many people love Kashaf's sister more than Kashaf, but I understand and love Kashaf more. Her father's character annoys me to no end though😆
