It's 3.00. Last week it was 3.2. This is hospital week TRP, a fully Gaurav less week. I want the TRP to drop further so they abruptly end this track. Other than white washing Shahs this track has no purpose. Please bring back Anuj Kapadia.

Totally agree. Expected a bit more lesser than 3. Hopefully next week it drops even more

It's actually not nice to keep on saying "Let's hope the TRP drops even more" or something like that.

So many people still like the serial as it is - hence the current TRP of 3.0, a high score compared to all others, that too so sustained.

To keep on wishing it goes down, actually means: stop this serial coz it's bunkum.
Just think of all those people involved in making a serial like this. And I don't mean the big bosses but the simple folks, the spot boys, the ones holding the cables, lights, sound systems etc. It's their bread and butter to be part of a show like this.

By all means, let us be critical of the way the story goes - if at all there is a storyline. Of the way a thought or theme is projected. Of the way they make or break a character.
That way, one hopes, the makers of the show can correct a wrong course ()

If one doesn't like it, and one finds observations don't lead to improvement, one can always stop watching it - as so many faithfuls have done in the meantime.

But constantly hammering on a lower TRP DOES NOT MAKE IT A BETTER SHOW. Instead, it threatens the livelihood of scores of people!!

I agree with you and actually this is the first time I had actually said it or else I never did even when many things were said before and many poor tracks were played. And I don't mean it in a negative way too. What I mean is that the writers knowing very well the audience desires regarding the track still went ahead with it even though they could have worked out something because the cast said that sometimes the writers do change the story in last minute and that's why many tracks were left incomplete and for this track they did have time to change it because the promo was played before and they already got the viewers feedback regarding it and many were against it.

I agree too that many people's livelihood are connected with the show and all their hard work is evident no doubt but what happens now is that due to this track many did leave the show. And by no means I want the show to go off air. I just want for the makers to realize that the track they wrote is not working well with the viewers. That's all.

@Red Was there even a story line at all many asked for the closure of many unfinished tracks but without ending one they jumped to another. And there were complaints in twitter about this too but none were paid any attention.

I hope I did not hurt you in any way as that was never my intention.

As long as they can make slow and steady progress in Anu, unlike Eid Ka Chand, the show will regain glory and viewership. I like Any and Anuj, as both are XUSP and rest of the ckts are SP. Just abhi makers need to stop joining Kshow Bandwagon, and rebuild Anujs ckt like he was along with showing his vulnerability N Trauma , let Anu support him mentally n physically unlike in the past vice versa.

Completely disagree. Getting stuck in a regressive serial is bad for everyone involved. It stifles growth, stifles creativity and stifles money earning potential. Getting stuck for decades in one contract gives all power to studios, channels and executives and no power to employees

Please look at the western model. Not only do the actors get paid millions, they have all the power to leave and stop the show. Even incredibly successful shows like The Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld, etc etc all ended in a decade (or just over) because actors walked away because they felt show had no more potential or growth left for them. This despite some studios even offering them over 50 million per year

If you are actually worried about livelihood of actors and staff you will NEVER want a serial to be dragged and continue for long. Look at Bob Odenkirk from Breaking Bad. He is now starring in action movie roles like "Nobody" and has lead role in Better Call Saul at his age of nearly 60! If Breaking Bad had just got extended indefinitely, he would still play a small supporting role instead of starring in his own show and movies. Dont you want Rupali or guarav to be able to explore their entire potential instead of being stuck in nonsense roles and plots for decades?

What if Sarabhai had dragged for decades, would we have RG in Anupama?

What you are saying goes against common sense and how the industry works. Let's take IPL as an example. Why do players keep earning more and more each year? Because they have the flexibility to leave the team and join another team or go back to auction. So if players want more money teams have to either release the players (eg Pandya, Iyer) or give them huge money to be retained ( eg Pant, Jadeja, Kohli, Dhoni). Now imagine if players were stuck with one team with no option to switch. Today ITV actors and staff are bound by unreasonable contracts and have no say in the storyline. Their only escape is low TRP and show ending and i can guarantee many actors are praying for that (I mean look at how muh potential the Baa actress had initially and the kind of lines and screentime she is getting today, completely ruining her potential)

Its actually BENEFICIAL for all actors and staff if a show ends, particularly at its peak. They get more money through new contracts than they get in contract renewal for same show. They have the hype of a successful show so other channels rush to sign them. They have the flexibility to choose only the scripts they want, today if they make RG dance ever episode, RG has no say. Its also grrat for their creativity, playing same character for decades makes any actor stale. Dragging shows only help the greedy executives and give them all the power to treat actors and staff as slaves forever.

Wow great points 👍🏼

Hopefully the model comes in India too, so new shows with better set-up for behind the scenes creatives and actors in front of screen is shown.

It also benefits the audience.

Thank you for this. Not related to the current post, but this line reminded me of another show currently airing on Star Plus where the male lead is being targeted by audiences who think he is responsible for the storyline🤪 completely sidelining the simple fact that it is his character that is getting butchered the most in the track🤣

Its time this show stops or at least takes a leap.

Yes, I said it. If you have no story left to show them happy and together, just kill them both and take a leap with CA as the lead. I would love to see RG and GK in better shows, maybe some webseries with good plots.

For me, personally, it would be easier to say farewell to my Anu and Anuj rather than see them suffer endlessly like in the current track.

It baffles me how people are still watching such a depressing track and why makers are stretching it so much. They had the audacity to harm the most loved character on ITV and people are continuing to add to their profits by still watching. Like how do you not feel angry.
Rajan Shahi shows are known to have pathetic storylines and depressing tracks which run for years. With Anupamaa they accidentaly created a story beyond their own capabilities so its obvious that they have butchered it by now.
