Extremely Unpopular opinion here,

Anuj needs to take a break from Anupamaa for once and give up on her, to teach her a lesson.

Anupamaa has been treating Anuj relatively how Vanraj treated her. Anupamaa always came last for Vanraj and his family was his top priority and that too was until the EMA, and Anupamaa kept accommodating to it.

And Anuj is doing the exact same thing, constantly accommodating tantrums from Shahs for Anupamaa's sake. I was hoping for him to take some drastic measures against Vanraj and Pakhi after the insult but he immediately got back to celebrating Rakshabandhan and then held a pooja for Kinjal's baby. Not even one mention of why couldn't the people claiming to support Anupamaa stopped her insult. As if the insult was just to get some high TRPs and then to be completely forgotten about.

I am dying to see a track of the last straw to break the back where Anuj says enough is enough, either choose the Shahs or CA and me.

Second opinion is that the show is wasting extremely good actors by making them props with unidimensional traits on the show just to make the plot centered around Anupamaa. Each character could have had significant growths of their own (didn't have to be positive) while adding to Anupamaa's track but I am tired of seeing everything wrong happening only to Anupamaa and everything fixed only by Anupamaa.

I was really happy to see Rohit and Ashlesha who're such talented veterans from one of my favorites Kahin to Hoga, but feel so sad to see them in one-track clowny roles here.

Unpopular opinion: Rupali is ott..she's undeserving of the praise she's getting..why is she overdoing every scene I have no idea..I mean indrani in the original sreemoyee portrayed the lead character without 1% ott acting..and I haven't watched Tamil version (so can't comment on that) but Malayalam version lead actor Meera Vasudev( who's a movie actor;this is her first TV show) is the one who gives justice to the sreemoyee adaptation in an even better way..malayalam version Anupama doesn't cry buckets, truly and iron lady and Meera is portraying her in a classy way.

It's very evident in this short promo (of 500 episodes of the Malayalam version)..the various shades Meera portrays so well in Malayalam Anupama.

Rupali was good in parvarish but here she's really overdoing it and doesn't deserve this hailing that she's the best actress Indian television has ever seen..because she's not.

I switched to the marathi version because I couldn't stand Rupali's acting. I'm glad I did because it saved me from the choti Anupama you mentioned . Can’t imagine seeing a child being sanctimonious and hypocritical like Anupama

I think SP, Ashish, and Gaurav are all decent actors, I wish their characters had more coherence. 😔 I know Anupama is the central character, but the plot will seldom make sense if supporting characters keep switching sides & viewpoints.

When they decided to keep Anuj in the show for a long term, they need to have at least considered giving him an arc;what they did to such a promising character is regrettable. I really liked charm Gaurav brought to the show, Anuj was breathe of fresh air back then when show was filled with negativity .

Sincerely, I believe Kavya's character has evolved more than Anupama's.

Thanks for making this thread because I afraid I was the only one who found RG to be lacking as Anupama .

Anuj and Anupama's power dynamics are unbalanced, much like Anupama and Vanraj's marriage.

Just because now Anupama ( the central character) gets to do whatever she wants in this relationship doesn't make it any less toxic.

In real life, no one could have tolerated a woman like Anupama, who constantly preaches to others but scarcely follows the same notions. 🤔

I always wished Anuj took a strong stance on Anupama's habit of prioritising Shahs over her husband before dropping the show, but I am glad they didn't because I feel even if a track like that comes, Anuj will be made villian & Anupama will be great deity who upset him for the greater good of Shahs & we will see Anuj rushing back to apologise instead of proper one to one mature conversation between the two .

100% agree. Alongside, I would also like to see a stop to the glorification of Mothers in general, Maa aisi hoti hai, Maa waise hoti hai, Maa ko kuch bologe toh bhagwaan nahi maaf karenge, Maa banna sabse saubhagya etc etc. It’s taking us at least 30 yrs back to Nirupa Roy age. It’s another role a woman may opt to play in her life, and also may NOT. There are other things to do in life and those make women equally great. 3-4-5 bachho ki maa banna is not the biggest achievement of life anymore.

Anyways needed to vent out.

But need to get this off my chest before I sleep tonight. I hate it when anupama/rupali makes that weird hand hook movement every 2 mins! The one Anuj mimicks sometimes!

Anuj is not character and does not know how to maintain his relationships. He is manic pixie boy, but the character development has been limited.

Also not sure about his business sense 😆

But still enjoy watching the character so maybe the above points are moot 🤣

@bold, dont worryAnuj also does not trust his business sense hence he made Anupama the owner. Knowing her manipulation skills firsthand, he is sure she will run the business well.
