Views on family's reaction towards Anu

Keeping my opinion about this adoption sequence aside, I feel sorry for Anu and Anuj, as they do not have a family who is happy in their happiness. When they have forgotten/forgiven/accepted every mistake/crime/misbehavior and are still doing it plus helping every individual in this family with all that they have!

In real life I might have experienced some of it and I felt suffocated. I wonder how these two feel for having to justify every action while they have sacrificed for every individual in the family one way or another.

Also it is not weird at all for Anuj to want a baby at this time. We all evolve with time and we do not seek same things throughout our lives. As Anuj fulfilled his dream to marry Anu, he moved on to seek next thing in his life. A kid, a complete family for himself. I am not saying only a kid completes your family btw.

All of the family members expressed their selfish reasons for not accepting that little kid, that itself shows how true their love is. There is nothing wrong for Anupama to accept adopting Anu for the man who has fulfilled her every dream and loves/respects

and by the way my 5yr old and 7 yr old were much more mature and accepting with the life changes they had to deal with! Anupama's 20+ kids, please grow up! Toshu and Kinjal do not need anyone else but themselves to raise their baby. Off course they will need guidance, but they cannot stop someone else from living their lives just because they did not use protection.

About Baa and Vanraj's reaction, I don't give a hoot as they are not family members per my opinion.

Jitni anuj small anu ke liye dekha raha hai mean really 😔 one an a half year maker show shah house drama at least 6 to 8 months toh dete for AK family drama but without adopted kid track i m really irritate with this track 😡

The fundamental issue is empathy. Anu and Anuj’s goodness has its roots in their ability to put themselves in another person’s shoes and look at the world through their eyes. This empathy is something that is lacking in most of the others around them. Mostly because they have never felt the need to seek it out in themselves. It’s human nature to take the easy path and just leave things to be led / managed by someone who puts themselves forward.

Anu and Anuj’s goodness, which can be seen as the virtue it is by an outsider looking in, is the very thing that has been used against them by others for selfish and manipulative reasons. I agree it may not all be deliberate, but there is an unspoken expectation in all of their equations with the family members. Tilted very much in the others’ favour. They are all very mindful of their rights, but conveniently forget their duties. Although, Anu and Anuj are as much to blame for not defining boundaries.

I really liked that the makers had Anuj say what he did to Anu about trust when it came to his brother and bhabhi. This is the balance that is needed to keep your fundamental goodness intact without allowing yourself to be taken advantage of.

I agree with you that there is nothing strange in Anuj wanting to adopt little Anu. Besides, latent feelings don’t understand binary sequences. What can trigger them is not something you can control. All you can do is deal with the aftermath.

To be able to be genuinely happy for a loved one, to be able to set aside one’s own contrary feelings, is not within the remit of many. Sadly.

Its greed! That is the sole reason behind everyone’s reactions to the adoption. Anuj’s extended family is greedy for money and fear losing their inheritance to Anuj, Anu and little Anu. Toshu and Kinjal are greedy for attention and free nanny services from Anupama and fear losing that if little Anu gets adopted. Samar is greedy for his mother’s attention. Pakhi is greedy for both attention and luxury and feels that she won’t get either if little Anu becomes the center of attention after adoption. Vanraj and Baa fear losing their free ka bank as well as free maid service from where they can take money hiding behind their kids.

Even after ALL this, The most hatred I feel is towards Anupama who is still seeking acceptance of her every decision from her so called family. And that too after the fact. The only opinion that should matter is her husband’s. No. One. Else. And her kids are not toddlers who need to be prepared ahead of time for a sibling.

Anupama has been the WORST parent anyone could have. Vanraj appears to be a much better parent than her at this point.

Agree with all of you. Anupama and Anuj did not require to take little Anu to Shah house. The insults they are used to, little girl does not deserve.

In fact that place is noone's maayka which everyone agrees on this planet except Anupama, Anuj and writer. I liked how Anuj told Vanraj that he has problem with everything but there was no need for them to take Anu to Vanraj's house. Also I did not like how they let Baa spit venom one more time. Who is she to give her opinion?

And if Vanraj being older than both Anu and Anuj can have an affair and marry then why the age limit for only MaAn. Writer needs to pull up her dirty socks and write something bearable.

I am personally all in for the adoption track, and wish to see Anuj to take more aggressive ownership of protecting little Anu.

He has always wished for a family with Anupamaa but has been sidelined time and again for Anupamaa's biological kids due to Vanraj's ego and Paritosh's discomfiture. He cannot keep playing second fiddle to Anupamaa all his life knowing that she will run off to the Shahs if even one of them harmlessly sneezes. Now she'd have to choose!!

Anupamaa now needs to prioritize making a family with Anuj instead of constantly going back to a place where she is constantly reminded of being and outsider with nobody objecting to it.

Most of the discomfort people are having is due to their own interests being hampered by little Anu's entry. For AB, BB and Adhik it was money, for Paritosh and Kinjal it was a free babysitter, for Vanraj it was jealousy to see Anuj getting a family of his own while Leela is just there to feed his ego and for Samar and Pakhi it was jealousy.

Yes Samar too, because on many levels he has kept assuming he is Anupamaa's favorite because he has blindly supported her (even her idiotic decisions) when others haven't and hence he deserves her exclusive love, which will get shared with little Anu's entry. Not so unconditional now right?

The only people honestly happy are Hasmukh, GK and Kavya (maybe Sara too). While Hasmukh's support is pretty much useless as always, Kavya probably sees this as an example to try to have her own child because her plans on this were constantly rejected by Vanraj giving excuses about already having children and responsibilities.
