Anupama from it's inception has touched the hearts of million viewers across the world. There was a time when at least one member of each household in India used to watch this show. Let's be honest, the main credit of the ground breaking success of this show goes to the concept of the show. A middle aged woman creating a niche for herself is what attracted viewers of all age groups to this show. For the past two years viewers are glued to their screen to witness this inspiring journey. But alas not for a single minute we have seen any progress in this journey. Many viewers left due to being not served the dish they were promised. So is there any chance of getting the original show back? For a change can the show shift it's focus to Anupamas journey. Yes I know ITV shows need drama to survive. They can show Anuj convincing Anu to resume her studies.Anu getting admitted to a college where she gets bullied for studying at 45. Show her struggling to cope with household chores and studies. Show Anuj doing household chores for her irking his relatives. Show Anuj taking Anupama to cinema, park, restaurant, resort to freshen her mind irking his relatives as still now mind refreshment of women is associated only with spending time with kids and grandkids. Show Anuj giving Anupama English lessons, computer lessons. After a while show a pretty lady joining Anuj's office triggering Anu's insecurity, Shah family trying to brainwash Anu that Anuj is cheating on her, Anu feeling inferior while Anuj trying to handle this situation with maturity and care. There are many important topics that have yet not being explored. I believe if the makers care a little for their number 1 show and again promote it as a woman empowerment show, the show will bounce back to where it was.
