Anupama from it's inception has touched the hearts of million viewers across the world. There was a time when at least one member of each household in India used to watch this show. Let's be honest, the main credit of the ground breaking success of this show goes to the concept of the show. A middle aged woman creating a niche for herself is what attracted viewers of all age groups to this show. For the past two years viewers are glued to their screen to witness this inspiring journey. But alas not for a single minute we have seen any progress in this journey. Many viewers left due to being not served the dish they were promised. So is there any chance of getting the original show back? For a change can the show shift it's focus to Anupamas journey. Yes I know ITV shows need drama to survive. They can show Anuj convincing Anu to resume her studies.Anu getting admitted to a college where she gets bullied for studying at 45. Show her struggling to cope with household chores and studies. Show Anuj doing household chores for her irking his relatives. Show Anuj taking Anupama to cinema, park, restaurant, resort to freshen her mind irking his relatives as still now mind refreshment of women is associated only with spending time with kids and grandkids. Show Anuj giving Anupama English lessons, computer lessons. After a while show a pretty lady joining Anuj's office triggering Anu's insecurity, Shah family trying to brainwash Anu that Anuj is cheating on her, Anu feeling inferior while Anuj trying to handle this situation with maturity and care. There are many important topics that have yet not being explored. I believe if the makers care a little for their number 1 show and again promote it as a woman empowerment show, the show will bounce back to where it was.

It can become a masterpiece again if the makers take inspiration from their own older episodes.

For story/theme, what I( & many others) wanted to see in the show is her progress in all aspects of life.

Seeking and defining their own identity is a must for every individual, irrespective of the strata in society, gender, and age. Every child (boy/girl) must be taught that there many paths in life that must be walked alone. And more so, not let others dictate what one can/cannot do.

That was the hope this show gave initally. This show certainly had the potential to convey this message loud and clear to the masses. But lost track along the way.

It is possible to get back on track with major amends to the story and narration style.

One of them is her getting back to college like you suggested. Along with depicting her simple married life

Other ideas are - Building a career, pick one dance or cooking and show something meaningful. A much-needed track is one where she starts off small and continues to grow to higher realm. What we have so far is that everything she started has ended abruptly.

Answer to the question - is it possible for the show to get back on track? Yes.

But, will the makers change their story.narration? NO

Sitara can't survive without sas bahu, devrani jethani drama.

For sometime they'll pretend to be progressive with 2nd ML and all, but then back to square one, culling creativity and forcing crap drama down our throats. The harsh truth 🥺

I don’t know whether the viewer can ever feel the same sympathy for Anupama’s plight as they did in the beginning even if the writers are able to bring the story near the original concept. The success of the show had much to do with the viewer standing firmly in her corner, rooting for her. Feeling outrage at how she was treated. A good person being treated unfairly, much as can be seen irl. There was hope for a better future and that kept us hooked. It appealed to the justice will ultimately be served feeling. Not something most people have the opportunity for.

Seeing it all frittered away, with her allowing her self respect to be trampled time and again kills any empathy the viewer had. The point is not that she did things for others, that can be explained by her basic character being that way, but it was the insults she bore unnecessarily. Justifying it as “main Maa hoon”. There are myriad ways she could have stopped the insults without resorting to rudeness or lowering herself to the level of those meting out the insults.

All of the suggestions you’ve mentioned will make for a good story going forward. But, I don’t know if the indifference I now feel for what happens to her will change.

They can combine saas Babu drama and Anu's growth as a person. A good writer can mix reality and drama in such a way that it becomes very entertaining.

Topic maker u speak my mind i always told that this show become very popular because it's concept is almost realistic which we can see around in many homes that is why most of middle age wife can able to connect it

And also people watch it because as we see many serial based on just love story and unsual planning plotting

But this show is not about love story and planning plotting. This show is about real issue about woman journey that is why most of people shift to this show

But now this show no more about anupama journey. Now this show about festival birthday and vanraj and baa journey

Original essence of this show completely destroyed

That is why I almost stop watching this show because original essence of this destroy

Don't know when cvs will remember this show about anupama journey

Another thing yes old show of anupama are gold

For me episode from July 2020 to dec2020 were best
