Since adoption involves so much process and time all going for surrogacy

even celebs like ekta, karan johar, srk all who could adopt 10 kids and bring them up went to surrogacy

Imagine if an orphan would be adopted by rich how nice their life would be

In return they all could help 100 more when they are big bec they are orhans understand situation of other orphans

because of govt policy all are running away from adoption

If a person is rich celebrity politician bureaucrat or studied in IIM IIT hardvard oxford etc why not lessen adoption rules so more orphans gets a better life

But no they are making orphans neglect and life wasted by not allowing adoptions they rot in these orphanages where they are beaten harassed not given food treated properly (most orphanages are worst than jails everyone knows that in india)

Same for old age home and destitute centres worst than hell

Imagine if no one adopted anuj kapadia he would be 10th pass and at 18 kicked from orphanage working in some garage or opened a tela on road etc thats what happens with orphans usually girls or boys plus psychological trauma of abuse in orphanage

Orphanage people are not your mom dad or uncle aunty to be nice to kids they are mostly illeterate low paid workers who remove frustration on those kids or aged

Orphanage is basically a bbusiness in india per child gets grants take all money and enjoy do not spend on kids thats truth

Only few private orphanages kids are treated bit better not nice bit better

Adoption in India is considered as something to be done when absolutely every possible option is shut down because Indians are obsessed with bloodlines and lineage.

Don't we see how Leela and Anupamaa forgive their kids almost every single time for the biggest kind of mess they pull off?

Even the laws in India are to help "childless" couples and not to help the kids find a home, else why would the law state that couples with three or more kids cannot adopt unless its a related child or one with a serious medical condition.

Fostering is still an alien concept and once a kid enters an orphanage, it is made to realize that it belongs there and the childless couples are actually doing them a favour by adopting them and its not a two-way street. Hence many a times, grown-up adopted kids are unable to fully accepted the adoptive parents as their own.

ITV has history of showing female lead doing critical operations, living being turning into wild fractures..

No point in expecting logic....

I have lost all hopes from makers...

This did not start off as a typical ITV show. That was what attracted me to this one. In hindsight, I can think of 2 major milestones that has proved to be a turning point in this show.

First was the episode where they return from resort after Anu-Vanraj divorce. Bapuji’s emotional blackmail leading to her stayingback in SH.

The next one was Anuj’s first accident. All chars changed overnight after the accident. They weren’t anything like what was initially portrayed to the viewers.

That doesn’t mean that everything was perfect, had sensible logic before that. That wasn’t the case. Filtering out crap left us with some substance to hold on to.

Now, there is nothing remaining in this show. All good things come to an end. This one was hurried, hence the disappointment.

I agree. Though I used to watch in bits and pieces with mom initially but to be very honest I didn't have any hope that they would divorce since I have always seen ML realizing his mistake and then happily ever after. About that 2nd one to I said in a post.

For me their love story was secondary. The way Anuj treated Anupama and encouraged her to move forward without needing anyone was the charm. I wanted to see that. That's why I was totally fine with his one sided feelings. If only they could have capitalized on the platonic side of their relationship 😔. Also they do not need to address all the social issues here. The main story is still stuck at the accident. Making a joke of a sensitive matter like adoption 😒

This!!!! The minute I heard they went into an orphanage and took a child two days post their wedding I was😳

Let me share something

Our close family friend adopted a child. She had her ovaries removed due to complications so doctors advised her to adopt. They applied for adoption on the 4th year of marriage and they got their child on the 8th year of marriage 4 years later. In-between so many fraudsters called saying we have a child here and there...It was a very difficult time for the family. She slipped into depression owing to the stress. It was very difficult for everyone who knew her. Then miracle happened and they got the child. For the first year they were foster parents with strict visits from government officials to check the condition of the child... Then after that only they could legally have the child.

You CANNOT... I repeat cannot walk into an orphanage and pick a child... It is impossible... and illegal and children are NOT handed over unless and until you are there to adopt.

Agree, but in the past there has been cases where adopted children are handled very poorly. I vividly remember in 2018 there was a Texas case , where the Nri parents adopted from india, the girl was special child. Couple of yrs later they had their own biological child. They used to hit adopted child. She had bruises all over her body, was very lean. They killed her coz she refused to drink milk or something n they threw her body in a gutter.

There have been such cases n hence I believe adoption laws are strict and more strict for NRI.

You know they can show that instead of adoption they are being foster parents. Taking care of her education, mentoring her etc..
