She nervously looked at the lecturer & then at anuj..she calmed herself breathing in & out..& stood over the dias..she picked up the chit from the bowl closing her eyes..and anuj kept his fingers crossed..

She opened the chit & the topic read - DEVOTION

She looked at the chit & then at anuj..anuj looked at her back..she smiled nervously..and the lecturer gestured her to start

Anupama nodded & introduced herself to the class..and started speaking about devotion

Initially classmates weren't keen to listen what she speaks which made her even more nervous..anuj nodded his head in negative gesturing her to continue

She gathered the last thread of courage & continued..a while later whole class was smiling & nodding their heads on her perspectives

She concluded it with - Do what u love & completely devote yourself to it!

With in a blink of eye the whole class stood clapping & anuj stood from his seat showing her a thumbs up

Anupama looked at the class then at anuj & finally towards her lecturer..the lecturer smiled at her & said

Katerina - well I didn't expect you to be this good with your thoughts..and more to it you have given the seminar in the proper parts be it with introduction, body or conclusion..everything was on top level anupama..keep it up..

Anupama's eyes Twinkled at every word of the lecturer..she later turned and gazed at anuj..his eyes held pride for her

The bell rang & the class was almost out..she got down & ran in happiness towards anuj & jumped over him..hugging him tightly..Anuj's hand automatically went to her waist & he gave her a twirl without realizing

Vikram & Devika who had come to call them for lunch stood looking at them with their jaws dropped

Anupama's voice echoed in the empty class

Anu - thank you thank you so much anuj..mae ajse phele itni khushi kabhi nahi thi..thank you meri itni maddat karne ke liye

Anuj smiled wholeheartedly & said

Anuj - maine bas help ki hai..par aj jo tumne bola uss sabka credit tumhe jata hai..very well done anupama

Devika & Vikram looked at each other then at anuj & anupama..& started coughing loudly making them realize their positions

Anupama came out of the hug & ran outside the class being embarrassed..anuj gulped looking at their stares

They walked upto anuj and kept their hands on his shoulder & asked

Devika - ye kya ho raha tha

Vikram - mujhe meri ankhon pe bharosa nahi horaha..devu pinch me please

Devika pinched him hardly on his shoulder making him wince in pain..Vikram glared at her

Devika - abbe bunty hum badmae ladlenge tu ab anuj pe focus kar

Anuj - kya..kya focus..wo bas khush thi toh ye..wo..aise flow mae hogaya..aur kuch nahi

Saying he ran out..and the duo burst out in fits of laughter..

Anupama stood in the corridor, held the railing and breathed heavily..she tapped on her head from behind

Anu - pagal chokri..tu kisiko aise kaise gale laga sakti hai

That's when she heard the voice from behind

Devika - kisi ko nahi meri jaan..anuuuujjj ko

Anupama pressed her lips to not blush & glared at her fakely

Anu - mujhe kaam hai..mae last 10 mins mae lunch karlungi..tu khalena ache se

Saying everything in a go she ran to classroom

Lunch break at college cafeteria

Devika & Vikram had completed their lunch when anuj came from staff ..looking at him Vikram asked

Vikram - abhi toh college election huwa bhi nahi tu toh abhi se staff ke chakkar katne laga

Anuj - aree wo last year ke register puch rahe thae..names ki list mera paas thi na..waisey wo anupama kahan hai

Vikram & devika - anupamaaaaa

They asked in a teasing tone..anuj glared & threw the pen at them & said

Anuj - uske pass se girls ki name list chahiye na iss sal ke attendence register ke liye

Vikram- acha isiliye?

Devika - wo classroom mae hai

Anuj nodded, took out his lunch & went to classroom to see anupama writing something sitting at the back bench..he went in & slowly tapped on her desk

Anupama looked upto him

Anu - tum?

Anuj - wo girls ki name list..attendance register ke liye

Anu - wo meri bag mae hai

She said pointing at the front bench

Anuj - arre tum hee dedona

Anu - arre khud hee lelo na

She was engrossed in the books to which he snatched it from her..Anupama glared at him..anuj looked at the book & exclaimed

Anuj - arre ye toh meri book hai

Anu - haan..tumne hee toh Saturday ko deal ki thi ne ke mae tumhari account notes likhdun..

Anuj - han par tum apna lunch chodke meri notes likh rahi ho?

Anu - haan kyunke evening special class phir se accounts wali hee hogi..tumhe toh time table yaad hoga nahi..lao yaahan book doo

Anuj closed the book

Anuj - koyi zaroorat nahi hai tum apni book mujhe dedo mae khud likh lunga..tum apna lunch karo jake

Anu - nahi humari yehi deal huwi thi na..book doo mujhe

She was about to snatch when he went back & held the book high..

Anuj - zid kyun kar rahi ho

Anu - time kyun waste kar rahe ho

She again came forward to snatch but stumbled & directly fell over him..Anuj's hand went to her waist which held her protectively..Anupama's breath hitched while anuj gazed at her..

A red stain on her cloth near shoulder area caught his attention..he slightly traced it to which anupama winced

Anuj - tumhe chot lagi hai

Anupama came out of his hold & was about to walk past him when he pulled her towards the wall

Anuj - mae kuch puch rahu hun Anupama..kya tumhe chot lagi hai

Anupama could just nod on his stern voice..he turned her slowly making her back face him

Anu - mae karlungi tum bas uss bag se antiseptic la do

Anuj took out the antiseptic from the bag and tissues too

He passed her the cream

Anuj - cotton ya bandid nahi la sakti thi..iss tissue se kya hoga

Anupama tried touching her back multiple times but failed miserably

Anu - wo subha devika ne bandid lagaya tha..par abhi wo nikal chuka hai..

She said with pain clearly visible in her voice..

Anu - kya tum please devika ko bula doge

anuj nodded when the last 5 minutes bell rang indicating the lunch to end in 5 mins

Anuj looked at her and said - abhi cafeteria Jane mae ya usse yaahan ane mae hee 5 min lag jayenge..if u don't mind..kya mae

Anu - nahi

Anuj walked upto her

Anuj - toh tum aise dard ke saath agae ki teen classes kaise attend karogi..khoon nikal raha hai..ek second aj tumhe college ane ki zaroorat kya thi tum hostel mae rest karsakti thi na..

Anu - wo aj seminar tha..aur tumne itni mehnat ki thi mere upar

Anuj sighed in irritation..

Anuj - tum pagal ho anupama

Anupama winches in pain again..making anuj turn her back towards him..she wriggled but stood when anuj said

Anuj - ab agar tumne mujhe tumhari help nahi karne dee..toh tumhara aj day off hojayega..tum last 3 classes attend nahi kar paogi..infact mae karne hee nahi dunga..new election hone se phele tak toh mae hee class ka secretary hun aur tum sub - secretary..toh I will make sure aaj tumhari na chale..aur jitna tumhe padhayi ka bhoot hai I don't think tum apni classes miss karogi

Anupama nodded & said

Anu - par tum apni ankhien band karlo please

Anuj smiled at her innocent request & said an ok
He closed his eyes & opened the knot of her dress..she started breathing heavily..and eyes were closed in anticipation ..he ran his fingers over her back to search her wound..he finally placed the tissue on her wound and started cleaning it

Anupama jolted up & moaned in pain - anuj ahhh

He blew on her wound and rubbed her bare back to calm her nerves..and finally applied antiseptic cream..

She sighed in relief due to the cold sensations calming her nerves and held on to his shoulder tightly..he tied up the knot..anu came out of his hold..when the class started barging in

But their eyes were locked..Anuj's eyes held concern for her & anu's held gratefulness

That's when the teachers voice echoed - anuj anupama stand outside of the class now..

They looked at each other then at teacher..& said

Anuj & Anu - Mam we are sorry

Teacher - I said get out

Anuj glared at the teacher & muttered under his breath

Anuj - pata nahi iss chashmish ko mujhse kya problem hai..humesha mujhe class ke baahar bhej deti hai..

Anuj started walking but anu looked at the teacher with puppy face

Anuj held her hand & dragged her out before the teacher can start her lecture on punctuality & discipline

Anu took out of her hand from his hold

Anu - tum pagal ho kya.. ye pheli baar huwa hai jab mae aise baahar khadi hun

Anuj - ohhh!!..agar tumhe yaahan rukne se problem hai toh jao na uss chashmish ka lecture sunne..aur waisey bhi chot ayi hai toh likhogi kaisey..subha se jo force tumne apne back pe dala hai uska natija dekh liya na

He stopped in track when their stomachs grumbled..they started laughing loudly when a voice echoed

Teacher - anupamaaaaa anujjjj

They looked at each other in horror and ran to cafeteria with hands locked..laughing throughout the corridor

They later sat on the bench when the waiter brought pizza and cold drink..anupama looked at it & said

Anu - mae ye sab nahi khati..mae dhokla leke ati hun

But anuj held her wrist

Anuj - aree anu...I mean anupama tum ye try karke dekho na

Anupama felt different when he called her "anu" but his continued plea broke her trance..she sat..he took out a piece and passed it to her..she examined it with lips twisted..

Anuj - arre Kitna dekhogi

Anupama took the first bite and closed her eyes absorbing the taste..

Anuj - kaisa laga

Anu - hmm acha hai

Anuj - sirf acha?

Anu - I mean bohat acha hai

They had their lunch in silence for the rest of the time..a while later anu said

Anu - waisey tum itne bhi burae nahi ho..

Anuj - kisne bola..mae bura hun..bohat bura

Anupama sighed in irritation

Anu - bas isiliye..isiliye..inhee harkaton ki wajah se tum mujhe ache nahi lagte

Anuj giggled

Anuj - but u know what mujhe tum aise ladaku achi lagti ho..tumhe sweet hone ki zaroorat nahi hai

She glared and threw the book at him..his nose turned red and he glared at her & shouted- ANUPAMA

But she ran to classroom giggling

At hostel

Anupama sat reading the book from her only fav author - Krishan..the book was written & published 2 years back - the title read : Chilhood diaries..it was the only book by that author which she had read multiple times..each time it felt new..and this time she was telling some instances to devika too

Devika had come out changing into night wear..she looked at anupama & asked

D - aj tere shayar ne kya likha hai?

A - bata bhi dungi toh tujhe samjh ayega

D - haaw..anu..acha sun mujhe anchal ne bataya ke phone pe na ek app jismae tera ye wala shayar bhi hai

Anupama sequeled in happiness & asked

Anu - sacchi..kounsa aap..par mera pass toh smart phone hai nahi

Her voice turned into sadness by end

D - are anu..mere phone se padh lena..

She took out her phone & sat next to her..she showed her the app & anu read the headline

devika nodded & gave her phone to anupama

D - le id name dalde maine Gmail apna dal diya hai

A - id ?

D - haan apna account create karna hai..toh chahiye na..isse tera identification hoga..jaise college id hota haina waise..ab tu Comment follow vote karegi toh yehi naam show hoga

Anupama nodded & devika asked

D - chai legi ya coffee

A - tu kitchen mae ja rahi hai

D - anu..tujhe chot lagi hai..toh itna toh mae karsakti hun na..aur dinner mae bhi light sa kuch bana dungi

A - light sa matlab Maggie na

Devika rolled her eyes & said

D - anu yaar bas Kitna taunt maregi..mae coffee bana rahi hun

Saying she went into the small kitchen of their room and anupama sat lost in her thoughts..

A while later she typed - Krishan_ki_radha & logged in

Anu - devika..id kya hai Krishan ki

D - radha_ka_krishan

Anupama's eyes widened that she had created a resemble id

She searched his id & the profile appeared

The profile had a picture of black heart a crack in between..and HOPE was written in the middle

She looked at the bio - which read

Anupama gulped being shocked because she always felt a deep connection with the author from past 1 and half year..he always writes which somehow connects with her life

On Saturday anuj had given her the topic of love to speak & she had given her seminar over it to him..nobody knew this scenario apart from them but reading the quote it some where resembled the situation

But her mind mocked - anuj can't understand his own feelings what will he understand yours he can't write such sensible things..if it was anuj then by now whole college would have known about it & he would have always show cased it
