You guys have some great points here and I couldn't help jumping in here with my 2 cents . The episode today was good , no doubt , the dialogues and script were meaningful and GK did a fab job as usual . But the timing of the marriage track , right on the heels of a much hyped confession track (which unfortunately could not do much to salvage the TRPs ) seems very rushed and may backfire unless some serious thoughts are given to the overall storyline . Till atleast some of the loose ends are resolved and we have some logical and sensible storytelling , all the #Maan effect will be lost in the chaos a a stinking plot and no efforts from the GauRup can save it .

Besides the obvious mess the makers have gotten themselves into with the idiotic Vanika and Anuj's downfall track , there is another big mess they are staring at with respect to Anuj's current characterization and what the audience wants . The audience demands V's downfall and a strong Anuj fighting for his empire/sister or atleast somehow the empire to be magically restored back . But from the current storyline , he's least interested in it . Woh AK empire ka kya karega , usse toh baith ke matar cheelna hai !! 😕 I suspect the makers always wanted to show this , how the mahaan FL doesnt care for money and how they both find happiness and peace in seemingly middle class things while the Antagonist burns even with all the money and power in his hands because as Anuj says " Jis din tumne Anu ko khoya us din tumne sab kho diya tha " . But the track was executed in such a trashy manner with all below the belt acts by Vanraj and a complete turnaround of bottle breaking and threatening AK to this person who just walks away from it all meekly and wants to find happiness in his beloved and non flashy life , that it is just v difficult to digest .

Trying to go ahead with Maan marriage in middle of this chaos will not do them any good . I also suspect that mass audiences , might not really want this poor , maryada wali wedding - maybe it hits too close to reality and we want atleast our fictional characters to have a big wedding , with prospects of grand happiness and big dreams (I say this because many people comment on Anu's lack of self progression and the dreams of women empowerment gone ) in front of them .

Iss sab ke beech mein faltu Shah drama of course is putting off big time . 👎🏼😡

Same to same...I am viewing with one episode at a time mindset these day....And I find 1 or 2 likable episode against 8-10 filler or bad ones.

TRP to pitani hi hai fir....And the way they are reacting in panic with sudden developments it's not gonna build back any connect I feel. Misplaced priorities will cost for sure.

I am honestly not surprised that the TRP fell. If I am not mistaken, that week we saw Anu assuring and cheering Anuj, MaAn in Anu’s house and build up to V day.

There was so much negativity with Anuj leaving the empire and him being helpless n totally broken. We come from a land where good had always won over evil. People believe and hope that that’s how things work if not in real life atleast in fiction people like to see good winning over evil. But here, they made the good so weak and meek that people feel unhappy and mind you, nobody wants to watch unhappiness on TV. Drama might be engaging but not unhappiness. It turns off people especially when watching on TV. Who wants to watch sobbing n weeping while having dinner with family?

It’s us the online audience still watch the MaAn scenes for various reasons. Main being for drooling at GK and then there is so much BTS content. Through SM, we know some vidhvans is going to happen and we all are hanging by that thread. But the TRP audience is unaware of it and they only see negativity after negativity with no ray of hope.

Now coming to confession, it was long overdue. It had to been done earlier and now wasn’t the right time for her confess. It would have been better if this mess had been wrapped up and then she confessed but makers might want to show her as mahaan FL who doesn’t care for money and ready to be with a man who doesn’t own anything. People would have liked it if MaAn fought it with V and Anuj teared apart that V as per the initial promo. They promised something and delivered nothing. That’s more like betrayal for audience. They again repeated the same with V Day promo. It was mentioned Wednesday but nothing happened on Wednesday. Also since they had promoted it for Wednesday, people might have skipped until then to avoid the rona dhona/ helpless Anuj.

The Maan shaadi also won’t work wonders on TRP unless they show the downfall of V.

TRP at 3.6.... most of us in the forum expected this. Though the confession of Anu was beautiful.... we enjoyed but it is not a surprise.

Till such time.... Mukku's character turns positive towards Anu/Anupama.... and Vanraj is sent out of the business asap on some or other context.... there are plenty and the FD /SM have suggested so many.... the reversal in TRP is not possible.

The original story line was the growth of a middle aged / not well educated woman... coming out of her relationship whFor this purpose they brought a most beautiful / adorable character Anuj. The focus should be only on this.

Why should the audience bother about all other side characters like her children and in-laws. Especually her EX husband... 400 + episodes we have seen him as a negative person..... We expect a growth for Anu and a disgrace for Vanraj.... these two should move at the same pace without changing the basic characterisation.

Till such time... forget TRP 4.00 +

Agree. Behan mai kuch din pahle se yehi baat chilla chilla ke bol rahi thi. I even mesged the same that u mentioned to ketki, bhawna, 3t uncle, DKP. But nothing happened.

Don't know what makers are thinking but somewhere i think they deserve this low trp. Infact trp may even drop if they continue this negetivity.

Appreciate and liked both your posts. Well analysed. Like many FD /Forum members I also don't want a rushed marriage. Just by russhing everything TRP will not increase. Makers should understand all the members feedback that audience did not like Mukku's behaviour towards Anuj and Vanraj behavior towards Mukku and his manipulative grabbing of business. Till such time these two are handled to get back to the proper story line... whatever they show wrt MaAn... it will not improve.

At this stage if Anu says Yes... Anuj will arrange asap. Then it will give a fodder to the gang of four for again insulting/ intimidating Anupama for her love interest when all her children are facing issues.

If Anu says No... she will be cheating herself/ Anu and all of us viewers.

I wish like how beautifully Anuj proposed for marriage.... the same way Anu should accept without shouting/ calling names / screaming/ etc between the two groups.

I feel one way to do this is Anu should openly accept the proposal at the same time discuss with her children Samar/Pakhi/Kinjal... so that they are not surprised and not falling to the manipulation of V Gang.

Next, She can call all three for a sleep over .... give them good food.... Both Anu / Anuj play family game ( like in traditional household before digital era) and bond together like a family.

Anu .... on sensing Anuj... missing Mukku.... Anu should surprise him by calling Mukku also for the sleep over. They have two apartments.

Next they should go out or a week end picnic and enjoy. Such small family time will automatically enhance the trust quotient from both sides.

When the bond is increasing.... how much ever V gang try .... it will be hard to spoil the family game.

I totally agree!! The makers kept cashing in on the whole Anu moving in to Anuj's place and Mukku's track. The confession firstly was way too delayed! And the whole Anuj giving away his empire was silly, stupid and unlike his character. I know ppl went gaga on twitter but despite Gaurav's fantastic performance, that entire track seemed so futile, dumb and frustrating😖. The attention span of viewers have drastically reduced and unless an engaging script is locked in, no one will be interested to watch. I have said this before will repeat; the life of the show is NOT MaAn..infact for any show its never the actor or charac..it will always be the content, the script!! No one is above it. Ppl who stuck around this show since day 1 never got to see Vanraj pay for his deeds and face his downfall. How long can they be patient! I dont blame the viewers at all! Unless they bring in a faceoff between Anuj and Vanraj, this show will sink rapidly! Even in the SBB for instance, we saw how Anu went to fight with V at Anuj's office. I mean his office, his sister and he is not even present. Utter crap!

Anuj Vs Vanraj is the need of the hour but makers are day dreaming...
