you are your kid's parent. Vanraj is Anupama's ex lol. Anupamaa is a grown woman who can make her choices. Would even prefer if she didn't use "maryada" everywhere and just say it's her choice.

First of all, as cherry, said above, Vanraj is her ex. He has no right to dictate or even suggest how she live her life, especially after he cheated on her for 9 years and treated her like scum.

If your kid is an adult, then they should have the complete freedom to take their own life decisions. If your kid says that there is maryada, and they would like to live with a person, then you should trust them. If you can't trust your own kid, it's a really sad situation.

I also wish she didn't use words like maryada, because there's nothing immoral about consenting adults living with each other and even having a consensual physical relationship.

It’s just hypocritical of Vanraj to be saying all this after everything he has done ..

Not to mention he doesn’t have any right telling her how she lives her life… she can live with whoever she wants and do what she thinks is right without having to take her ex-husband and in-laws permission every single time.
If anything she needs to set boundaries with them. 😆

The problem with this stupid show is that they’ve overly complicated unnecessarily all the relationships beyond repair. When Anu was living with them, Anuj’s story being blended with the Shah family made sense but ever all since she left, they don’t know how to show both storylines together. This is why they should have introduced Mukku with much better characterization but they failed with that. The only option I see is close the Shah family nonsense altogether but that can’t happen because that in real life would be unfair to the actors. Every single character they are butchering at the cost though. V today and V when he “set Anu free”. Kavya today and Kavya when “she joined work with Anu and came home with her”. Toshu today and Toshu when “he took care of his mom and Anuj after the accident - that too barely”. This show is going down the drain badly and if they don’t fix this, they will lose viewership immensely.

Tbh, the confession was really nice and all but felt out of context. He was crying like theres no tomorrow one day and making a cake the next. Nice episode though with the acting but totally out of context.

Yeah, true. I don't think these people can show it properly. But also there are many people in India who do live together without getting married, and it's accepted by their families. Things will change slowly. Surely it will be faster in real than on ITV but still!

ANU says in presence of her precious children and bapuji that if someone behaves with dignity, they are serious, calm, and controlled.

At the same time she just to Irk EX and BAA which did annoy them, maintain eye contact and speaks for herself and declares clearly that MaAN does not require others permission to make MaAN decisions. BAA having large round wide-open eyes.

ANU stands firm for MaAN LOVE this time.

- what is the problem with a live-in relationship with respect to MaAn or in general ?

- if your kids want to stay with a boy, they are going to stay with a boy and there is nothing you can do

- maryada to serve what purpose? in terms of Anupamaa, what maryada does she need to maintain ? if its to protect her kids from doing the same, well they are adults. or is it to not encourage the rest of society to do the same and help stop the breakdown of the institution of marriage ?
