We online audience are more supportive of Anuj and get repulsive with V. We are also the voice in SM, always backlash makers while they whitewash V whereas TRP audience don’t have much to a direct say. This seems to be an attempt to garner sympathy for V as well as reduce the support to Anuj. So that the friend is hailed to be the HERO of the show.

Industry works in a very different way ree..

There's lot of internal politics that goes on, to the level we can't even imagine

The makers never had expected such a raging response to the character of AK. I had mentioned the same thing yesterday while some discussion with Ruchi. They had brought Dr. Advait into scene and it recieved underwhelming response. Due to RL scenario, coronavirus, shooting at diff place etc they could scrap it easily. Then they brought AK which they expected to be liked but not to the extent of overshadowing V. Had it been some one else portraying AK other than Gaurav, it might be liked but not such much. All due to the conviction and nuance this guy brings in to the character.

Now AK is stuck in their throat. They have to fulfill audience demand as well as commitment to SP. So maybe in a bid to do that they are bringing in prequel so that they can show V as better person and reduce the charm of AK. With that the hero is been established back

Yuckkkkk. Kabhi matlab kabhi nahi dekhungi ye prequel. We are sick of RaVanraj. They still have to shove him down our throats. The biggest problem is that online audiences can’t accept him as anything. Whitewash karke achcha dikhaya to bhi nahi hazam hota aur bura dikhaya to bhi nahi hazam hota. He was much better in the grey zone. Sudhanshu is a good actor but writers are really confused what to do with him. I don’t know if I am going against popular opinion but I actually felt it was appropriate when he told anupama to admit her love for anuj in the hospital scenes. He is a GREY character since the start. Selfish, self-centered, exploitative. But it was refreshing to have him and anupama click as friends. They were never meant to be husband wife and they had a terrible marriage. But once free from that, they became two people who had spent half their lives together and got on somewhat okay. I think its time to push V back into the grey zone.

I want to meet their marketing/publicity strategist coz whoever thought this will change viewer's minds even by one brain cell is utterly stupid. They might suffer from memory but we dont. Anuj or no Anuj, no one likes Vanraj!! With all the crap he has dished out to each and every single life he has touched ever, I am aghasted that they even believe this whitewashing is even remotely possible🤯🤯🤯
