Anupamaa has never ever ever professed love for anyone in her life. For all her 'Prem Kanha ji ki pooja hai' dialogues, they were literally just dialogues like most things she says.
Professing her love was Vanraj was always done in the silence of nights, after the entire moholla had dozed off.. And even then she couldn't let the words 'prem/pyaar' out of her mouth. It was always 'Mujhe aapse vo hai'.
Even with her family, IIRC she never used exact words to tell them that she loves them. And it's okay. That's a very Asian thing & in the initial months, Anu was presented as a realistic everywoman.
Apart from her journey towards independence, this can be a major wholesome story that can be focused on. Ye kya Malvika ki tragedy queen backstory & Vanraj ke career pe time waste ho raha hai?
