Honestly, I don't blame anuj for not reflecting on Anu's behavior.

A lot of talk, dancing around, etc.has been shown to us viewers, for him not that much.

Plus, Anuj has confessed his love twice, still he never got anything in return of it, the park scene where anu says that she cannot let anyone enter into her life, then the temple scene, where she says she has no energy to share her life with anyone, and plus Anuj always running away from hope, ofcourse he wouldn't want to read between the lines and get hurt by having hope.

So, unless anu confesses, even if he starts understanding a little, he will be in denail.
