This again. Sorry, I think these views are very regressive. Anuj had girlfriends and one night stands, does not mean he took advantage of them.

Women also want to have relationships before deciding whether to marry, and women also consensually have one night stands.

As long as they are adults and all consent is taken, it's not wrong at all. And the character of anuj is so lovely that he will take consent.

She doesn't need anyone, that is true. Her potential growth is what attracted viewers to the show, but why shouldn't that growth include an emotional growth as well. Isn't the whole point to show that she has a choice and that she has the freedom to exercise that choice to be with someone or not. Be it Anuj or someone else or no one for that matter.

@bold - that is a very sweeping statement and nothing that has been shown so far indicates that Anuj has ruined lives of the women he has had affairs with. That there was anything tawdry about it. That there wasn't mutual consent involved.

Exactly, this is not about needing ..... and you know what, the bold statement in that post above (about ruining lives) makes me want to report it asap.

I know that it has been portrayed that he was in US .But the point here is not about US or it's culture , but regarding what actually is right. Casanova behavior is wrong for the obvious reasons , if you wanna know I can reply regarding that too. For whatever reasons maybe his heartbreak , parents' death , he did what he did and that was wrong .

And ironically the audience is enamored with him , thinking him as some kind of bhakt of prem or maryada purushottam when in reality his relationships with women are more messed up than vanraj.

I just want to draw the attention towards this aspect.
