Irrespective of how she was treated by Vanraj, she loved him for 26 years. When she realised she was cheated, that has hurt her deep inside and she broke inside. For such people loving again anyone irrespective of how good the person is difficult mentally and emotionally. She also has fear if she loves again if she will end up with failure again. She can't change overnight. So what she said is true to her character , she is plain, simple , direct and honest . What her thoughts are she expresses without hurting anyone.
